I have a few animal rights friends. They did an organized protest inside a Macy's one time. They had a few guys distract security while a bunch of them locked their necks together with unbreakable bicycle locks in the fur section.

I just think that they're 'lost' and feel the need to belong to something. It wouldn't hurt them to get laid either.

These kind of idiots discredit the concept of animal rights. I believe in treating animals with a certain degree of respect. I eat meat like a champ, but I'm against some of the horrible shit they do to these poor creatures.

I've actually been thinking about the concept of pro-feminist game recently. Could be useful in a few situations.

Her: "What do you think about marriage?"
Me: "I mean, I care about us, but its just that marriage seems like such an old patriarchal and heteronormative concept, you know? I'm not sure I feel comfortable limiting us to something like that. You and I can go so much further than these established gender norms..."

You use some mighty big words in your game Athlone. I tend to use "least common denominator game". What I mean is ...I try to have conversations using the simplest language I can get away with. I pepper it with little bits of insight and humor. I'm a pretty smart guy and I know I can talk way over most womens' heads but I find that to be counterproductive in most cases. I try to connect on the emotional level and gently steer them where I want. I had one girl tell me that I'm veeeeeeerry persuasive.

The only time I've found higher level thinking and language useful in gaming girls is when you use it to outwit another guy ...ala the Harvard bar scene in Good Will Hunting.

Strippers and PETA have some weird alliance going together. Every time I walk into a PETA protest here in SF, it's a bunch of strippers trying to get attention by flashing their pasties-on-the-nipples tits. They try to stay in character as "hurt animal" for a while but pretty much always forget and and go into their stage persona.

Strippers, in general, are stupid. There's occasional exceptions, but in general, stupid. Strippers also are genuinely ugly, often acne scarred, and have to wear clown-levels of makeup to trick people into thinking they're good looking. They live hard lives and burn through their looks quickly. They have that 17-going-on-52 look, like your dumb chick in a cage.

PETA media events are staged during daytime so they can get photographed, but the sunlight is not kind to strippers. No matter how much foundation and glitter you slather on.

Occasionally PETA lands an A-lister like Lydia Guevara and rolls out the red carpet with a professional photographer and glossy photos. But in general they're stuck with strippers and has-been models on the downside of their career.

A couple of you really touched on my first impression - anyone that can give THIS kind of energy and devotion to PETA must have a pretty good, problem-free life. At 27, this chick is probably a Class A cat lady already. Enfant Terrible really summed up most fundamentalist types - it's okay to kill to get your message across. And she wanted a TEENAGER killed to really drive the message home.

To a lesser degree, the PETA freaks that often took to throwing paint on someone's fur coat are also terrorists. And if you respond by beating one of them's ass, YOU'RE the one that's wrong. When each of them gives up any and everything that comes from an animal, I'll give them the ultimate respect. When I see them all walking around dressed in fig leaves and wooden shoes, I might even cut them a check.
