I have been to Santa Marta. SNL'd a Colombian chick there. Bar pickup.

The beach there is ok. Nothing special and there is a lack of beach front bars. The fishing village 5 mins down the road is better for daytime beachfront action but Santa Marta itself is better for nightlife.

Definitely would not call Santa Marta a party spot though. It's pretty quiet / chill.

Santa Marta sucks ... Florpi is way better. Cartagena has better night life too.

I don't know why santa marta is on that list.

Punta del Este for sure. But you gotta bring some paper to have fun there.

Margarita island is fun, but it's in venezuela which sucks donkey balls right now.

Probably because it's pretty much the easiest place to get laid in Colombia.

You remember that story I told you about the chode that picked up a 9 and said that buying their drinks and meals was "part of the culture" ?

That was in Santa Marta.

There is a bar there called La Puerta. Its where local chicks come to meet and hook up with tourists.

The only task a PUA has there really is weeding out the pre-pagos.

I saw 2 chodes pick up 9s there (prepagos).

I SNL f-closed another chick from that bar (non prepago) the same night.

I have been to 5/10 of those places. I'll repeat that Santa Marta does not belong there. Atacames in Ecuador is also pretty shitty. Sure, there are lots of people but it's mostly middle/lower class Ecuadorian and therefore not very attractive. Morro de Sao Paulo was awesome though. Everyone there is on vacation and the parties are wild!

Santa Marta is a dump. Plain and simple.
