Several times now I've heard variations of this in the early stages of getting to know a girl. Seems to be a universal code for appreciating you acting like a man. A real green light for me.

Anyone else ever hear this?

Yes. In various ways, including a direct statement like the one you've described. A few paraphrased variations:

"Feminists don't know what the hell they're talking about."
"These chicks have distorted the original intentions of feminism."
"I can't honestly call myself a feminist anymore."
"Feminists over-played their hand."
"Not really. [laugh.]" (Answer to question: "do you consider yourself a feminist?")
"Today's so-called feminists are just complaining bitches."

Haven't heard this one, but wouldn't be surprised to hear it more and more often in the future - a lot of women are onto the fact that the feminist gravy train is about to derail.

The last girl I was with goes to a women's college. At one point I asked her if she was a feminist and she said that in her women's study class she was taught that everyone should be a feminist and if you loved women then you are a feminist.
