I've rarely seen anything written on this, but I thought it would be interesting.

When I say pretty boy, I mean a guy who looks obviously more feminine, but still is considered attractive. Just not so much "alpha" looking. I put myself in this category. This may seem strange, but the effect is strongest on women in their 18-23 years and 35 and up women.

Women generally 24-34 who aren't married, or divorced are looking for the most "ideal" guy with the most money in my opinion.

The main downfall is unless you live in Los Angeles, Miami, Vegas, NYC - one of those cities, a lot of women will generally assume you are gay. Some will straight up ask you and act surprised when they realize your personality is anything but gay. They may throw girl compliments like "oh, you look so pretty", and it sort of puts them into this instant confusion mode where they want to get to know you better - but you still can't dethrone the real Alpha guy with his "masculine" good looks. If you give both "pretty" guys vs the "good-looking masculine" guys the exact same personality and an above-average income, it would be interesting to see what women choose.

The truth is, some guys look better "pretty" than they would if they tried to look more masculine. Chace Crawford, Zac Efron, Brandon Flowers for example. Then you have guys like Clive Owen or Jon Hamm with their masculine good looks. Brad Pitt would fall somewhere in the middle, and I think that's probably the most "universal" appeal.

I think a lot of it is up to the individual woman, but the paradox about pretty boy game is they are attracted to you, but don't necessarily see you as "masculine" enough to matter in the long-term.

Thought it was interesting and looking for some corroboration, or lack thereof.

Another thing, to those of you who have traveled alot...do you see "pretty boy" game going farther in certain cities like LA/Miami?

Pretty boy game works in soft environment.If you are in Balkans good luck.The tough guys will never let you circulate cute girls without harassing.

Pretty boys kill it in Korea. Just look at any of their boybands. Maybe hit up some asian girls?

My looks help me close really fast via day game and i've had a chick that I SNL'd say" So which one am I? 201 or 202, you probablly get everything you want" . A lot of girls assume this but will , like you said, take the more masculine handsome guy, opposed to taking a dude with soft handsome features. Everything your saying is spot on.

I guess grow some stubble and shave your head or something, or better yet brand your face with a hot iron for a cool scar.

You can have baby face with alpha guy body language.Many guys find this irritating but it can work.

i agree with kamaki. stronger frame wins in the end. but it really has to be strong cause that innitial baby face image attracts cockblocks/amogs/confrontations more often. the advantage is that a baby face killer can outgame opposition by surprise when they can't it comming.

There's a difference between a baby face and a pretty boy. I have a baby face but I don't look like a pussy which is what I think of when I hear pretty boy. Someone who has a female type face and looks "gentle".

Hahaha, hot iron. New growth, or a shadow definitely helps to give off a more masculine look. I personally line up the bottom along the jaw line to present the illusion of a defined jaw and everything else I just trim down.

As far as what Houston said, I understand exactly what he's saying. Most people see the way any one person looks and make immediate assumptions. All my life i've gotten into fights because of this. Though i've lost a few fights , i'm no bitch like many assume, and I've sent a few cats to the dentist haha.

Very good ideas here. I had a Pretty boy issue when I was younger, despite being an athlete. The issue here is that women like the face (good), but other men hate it and think they can intimidate you out (bad). I've been in a few altercations because of this, before I got a little bigger and learned to read situations. I've even had South American dudes I'd never talked to swing on me with my back turned (lol) as their chicas made a fuss.

"Pretty" types need more of a "deterrent" for other dudes. I'd echo the ideas mentioned. As Greek says, pay attention to body language. Either get a little bigger, or take up more "space." As kickboxer points out, don't smile as much (this really works). I think a lot of prettier-types have a happy go lucky demeanor that p!sses off other men, like "yay! i hit the genetic lottery so girls like me!"so they want to get even if they can. Your job is to not let them.

The example of Brad Pitt is a good one, evolving from Pretty boy status. The same can be said about JFK Jr. In both cases their bodies and demeanor evolved.

One other note; Ali use to brag about how pretty he was.... you can do that, but have to have the masculine credentials to back it up.

Yes,some quite notorious criminals had baby faces.Not really many who would like to mess up with them.

hah, I had drinks with this guy and his girlfriend and a few other people a couple of years ago. His girlfriend was all tatted up (even chest).
