I'm in the Bay Area too. Always looking for fellow wingmen. Best spots south of SF are in Palo Alto, or Los Gatos. Wouldn't recommend San Jose.

I'll be in San Jose without a car, so it looks like I'll have to fight my way through it.

I live in downtown San Jose.

It is awful. There are no women.

I've heard it called Man Jose. I guess that's for good reason.

I live in cupertino. San Jose isn't too far from me.

The only decent place I've been to over there is Santana Row. There are a few more tea places and restaurants etc. that I have approached at, but that's just me hitting on a hot girl whenever I have the chance. I don't particularly go to those places to slay lizards.

If you can get up to the city (San Francisco) on Saturday night, it should be pretty live since it's halloween weekend.

Alternatively, I might be hitting up Stanford this weekend depending on what my friends want to do, it's generally the easiest place in the area to meet girls. Depending on how old you are/look, i might be able to invite you to join.

San Jose absolutely sucks for women. Yes, it's called Man Jose thanks to Silicon Valley's demand for workers from male-dominated fields (engineering, computer programming, etc). Santana Row is your best bet but be prepared for a cockfest.

If you can find a way to stay in SF for the night, I'd recommend taking the CalTrain up to SF and partying there. You won't need a car in SF and you can return to San Jose in the morning to do whatever you have to do there.

Guys, thanks for the great intel so far. As you can tell, this is going to be a business first, pleasure second trip, but I still can get out and enjoy myself.

I have Friday night off, work Saturday from about 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., then have the rest of the night free. My flight home leaves

@panache -I am 27 and look young. I live in a college town. PM me if you want to know more.

@Hencredible - How much is the CalTrain? Does it run throughout the night? San Francisco could be good with how the Giants are in the World Series too.

RE: Bay Area, CA
I'm in San Jose as well. I'm back after a long absence from RVF and it'll be great to hit the town with another visitor/ forum member. I usually roll out alone here - Nolas in Palo Alto was recommended by a friend as a good spot to meet Stanford girls. It's halfway to SF and seems like a decent compromise so I'm planning to head there this weekend, Fri or Sat.

I recommend checking out RVF's very own datasheets on this area

If you don't like the vibe downtown, Santana row is your closest bet and should cost around 20 bucks by taxi. If you want to take Caltrain and head to SF, get a day pass for 18 bucks.

Drink prices range all the way from $6 beers (dive bar in downtown) to $12 (V bar in upscale S. Row). Shots cost $8-12. There's some good eats in SJ downtown and a Philz Coffee which is supposed to be great. Use yelp.

Downtown will have plenty of police cover around Halloween so stay safe. Ratios aren't good but girls love to dress slutty. If you have any questions, feel free to PM or just ask here. I'm no expert but I'll do my best to answer.

And from all the local members, welcome to SJ. With 48 hrs, you won't have time to get bored so enjoy it. Whether we meet or not, all I ask in return is for you to brainwash me about the benefits of nailing chicks via CL, privacy/security/professional reputation be damned Confused

@stein - Thanks for pointing out those datasheets. I searched earlier and took a quick look, but at your recommendation, looked further into them.

From San Jose to SF and vice versa, it would be $9 each way. You don't need a day pass since that can only be used within the same day (not going to work since you will be leaving SJ on Friday night and coming back Saturday morning) and you won't be doing unlimited travel which the pass allows within the same day. Just a one to one.

Here is the schedule: http://www.caltrain.com/schedules/weekendtimetable.html

You can definitely catch the first train leaving SF on Saturday morning and be at your place of business in SJ by 11am.

@Hencredible - That doesn't sound too bad for a train ride. Could probably meet some women on there too.

Best spot in Palo Alto right now is Patio -- http://thepatiopa.com/--Fridays better than Saturday, mostly Stanford, and recent college grads, can be hit or miss.
Avoid Mountain View unless you prefer 3s and 4s.

Best overall spot in the South Bay must in in Los Gatos, either Los Gatos Bar and Grill, or Mountain Charley's. They are right next to each other.

Only place I've found south of SF with consistent 8s and 9s.

Blaze I recommend that you stick to downtown if you're shooting for a SNL in the south bay. While other places have marginally better talent, downtown offers the maximum number of venues within walking distance/very short cab ride to your hotel. Campbell and Los Gatos are your next closest options but are 10 and 15 minutes away respectively. You know how fast a girl can change her mind during a cab ride...

I might be able to show you around on Saturday night but need to finalize some plans first.

I have met and number closed girls on the caltrain and the stations before. Bitch shields are down, and these girls are generally in the party mood (on friday evenings).

RE: Bay Area, CA
Writing this on my phone, so please excuse whatever mistakes there are.

Went out with Stein tonight. Dude is chill as fuck and knows his way around San Jose.

To begin with, they don't call it Man Jose for nothing. At the start of the night (at Loft), there were a ton of dudes out and no women. While the ratio was still skewed as the night went on, it was a bit better (at this beach themed bar).

We eventually bounced to a spot called Britannia. Stein immediately went up to this black chick and pulled her to the dance floor, leaving me alone with her all right looking friend.

Stein had her friend occupied for a good 30 minutes, so it gave me plenty of time to get to know the friend. I brought her to the dance floor and things got pretty good. Tried to kiss, she pulled away, but I'm sure she was having it. I stopped and went back to dancing.

Blah, blah, blah... Those chicks were getting something to eat and leaving the club (but said they would come back), so I pulled the friend aside and got her number. At least that is what I thought. Turned out to be a fake.

Saw some guys also on business, so I met up with them and wandered around with Stein tagging along.

And yeah, nothing more eventful happened than seeing a few guys with bloody shirts from fighting and hood things.

Takeaway No. 1 - When in another city, lock in immediately and don't let go. I should have gone with that chick to get something to eat with her friend and I'd probably be banging her right now instead of posting on this forum. Just as it goes in sports: on the road, score early and often to bury the home team.

RE: Bay Area, CA
It was excellent hanging out with Blaze (what's up man!?). Very friendly, easy going dude. His top 3 game strengths were:

-body language (athletic build, unfazed demeanor)
-conversation ability (interesting chat, connected with girls)
-red shirt with 3 roses! Thumb up

We rolled out at 9:45 and started at loft (unexpected dud), moved to tres gringos (flirty asians) and found our groove at brittania arms. Wish I could've consolidated the opportunity with the black girl to give Blaze a stronger chance to take her friend home. We dipped in/out of temple (should've stayed) realized it was past last call and closed the night chatting up drunk girls stumbling out of bars in ugly costumes. One replied she was heading to her drug dealers after party (creative rejection). SJ can be rough but we play the hand we're dealt, then visit RVF in the eternal search for poosy paradise! But I'm rooting for you tonight man. SF will be kinder with a lot more girls and a lot more fun. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
