OK, so I go out to random bar the other night with live music.

Girl #1 situation:
Sit down at bar, drinking watching band. Cougar comes up and I notice I sat in the seat she had been in next to her old hag of a friend. So I say "oh here you can have it back" and move over one chair. Anyway, I start chatting w/her and get a lot of positive feedback. Bumping me with her leg, light touching on the arm as she makes a point. At some point she says, "you know, I know this great singles group that a lot of my friends are in. They're more your age and they're all really hot and would like to meet a hot guy like you." At this point I was trying to number close her, so I was a little annoyed. Then she says, "I'm not rejecting you or anything, I just think you would like these girls." I told her I want her number and she says "how about I get yours and I'll tell you when the next singles night is?". Long story short (or long) I go away without a number. I closed saying, "You won't call me anyway, have a good night." Trying to maintain some dignity.

Anything I could have done differently here? I thought I was clearly expressing interest and she didn't have a wedding ring, don't know what went wrong.

Girl #2:
Younger chick sitting by herself drinking at the bar. We chat for a while, she's a little less talkative but constantly playing with her hair while we talk. I number close and she says, "I only give my number to guys after I've seen them out twice. I get too many creepy guys texting me a lot." This was clearly a blowoff line, but I had no reponse other than, "well have a great night then, you won't see me again."

Any suggestions on this one?

I don't feel good about your closing statements. From what I understand from reading the book, you gotta let go of pride. Forget about dignity and just let it roll off your back and move on. They are just wasting your time. If you don't get a number, it's not your fault that they don't like you. It's not theirs either, so nobody is to blame.

About the whole, "I don't give my number, give me yours" thing, this happened to me last night. I just said "Oh, I see how you roll" and gave her my number. I know she won't call, but I kept things positive. I gotta stay in my vibe.

I agree with mlucasone. Staying positive and emitting a good vibe is essential at all points in an interaction; even when she is rejecting you. I've noticed that as soon as I turn my thoughts negative as the result of a rejection, even if its to protect my pride and exit a set with dignity, it ruins my flow.

Ok, first of all, I sense without knowing this explicitly that you have to come at this with the right MINDSET. I won´t go into that. Its too hard to cover. Basically its the abundance mindset. Beauty is a common thing to you.

1 I would have acted really interested in this singles group and I genuinely would have been too! She has built a frame around you of her being like you´re dating guide and that she will find you someone (not her). Its basically a test. She´s boxing you. She´s trial rejecting you. One way to break out of that is to just go all the way with it. ie. how hot exactly are these chicks? how often do they meet ? is it enough to satisfy you desire to meet hot women? You could kind of josh with her about that.

Do you have a club for her she can join? that can get funny.

Another point
With the number close, I would only ever close if you felt like you wanted to CALL her to fix a coffee date or an evening drink somewhere more classy... do you want to date an older woman who hangs out in bars talking to younger guys?

What do you want here from this woman?

2 ' it is good you approached a girl you felt had requisite physical attractiveness. But SHE sounds a little bit boring and may have been boring for you perhaps long term.

3 When some chick asks for your number as an avoidance to giving you hers (never happened to me) this is what I would recommend not having tried this

a You say SMILING You don´t give out your number to girls in clubs, because they could be psychos. So you are at impasse. You share her concerns. Can she think of a way to give you a way to contact her?

#1: It sounds like she's a promoter, and possibly already has a man in her life. If I wasn't interested in the singles event, I would just say "hey, nice meeting you, see ya." Keep it subtle.

#2: Girls will put up resistance, or shit-tests (look this up), and you will just have to plow through. I might've said to her, "wow that sucks. I can't stand texting anyway, the punching at little tiny keys when my fingers are 5x the size bla bla." [I really do hate texting.] You could form any number of responses, but all the ones I'm imagining have a casual dismissal of her objection, without logically refuting it (ie., do NOT say, "don't worry, I'm not one of those guys" - then you're trying to qualify yourself to her and win her approval. Also, joking about becoming like the other guys isn't advisable either, because it's a very real possibility to her.). Deliver it with a cocky smirk. If she liked you, she'd have given up the number by then.

I would not give my number to a girl if she didn't give me hers. She's not being honest and direct with me, so I don't reward her with my compliance and feed into her bullshit. I would demand her number then, and if it still doesn't work, respond, "Nah, it's cool, see ya."

Your vibe should be stronger than that anyway. Anyway, I'd never think that a girl taking but not giving a number is a success.

twigman, 3a is stupid, and obvious BS. I like 3c, but I never get rejected for the phone number (plenty don't pickup though).

Girl #1: Bring up the age issue first, like it's a problem for YOU. You should ask "How old are you by the way.." Then when she replies have a shocked/disappointed look on your face!!! "Oh... I see."

Girl #2: Why come back with something negative when you can do something more playful that shows you're fun and different? "Yeah me too. creepy guys are always blowing up my phone."

Your parting statements to these girls is on the bitter side, like you have some pent-up anger towards the women you are talking to. You don't think that's somehow being communicated before you get blown off?

I will share my experience with you on Girl#1

Girl #1: I met a cougar but she was more like 45 (im 26). She was married but told me she has a 25 years old niece and ask me to give her my card. I did but didn't expect any feedback from the younger lady. Anyways a few days later, the niece was in my bed. So I was quite lucky to meet this cougar after all. When you see it's not possible with the milf well you have the opportunity to meet her friends and maybe she'll make you good reputation like "I met this hot boy you definitely have to meet this guy".

I agree with everyone here. The closing statements you threw out made you look like a sore loser. You have to make them think they are the losers in the situation.

Girl #1, I would have said why do you want to get me to meet younger girls? Are you afraid you can't handel a younger guy like me? Saying this presents her with sort of a challange or dare if you will. That would burn her a$$ a little bit but at the same time spark her curiosity about just how good you really are if you know what i mean.

Girl #2, Roosh is 100% right in this situation. Make a joke out of what she said to get yourself out of the wierd situation. From the body language you explaind she sounded to be a little bored. I think you would need to talk to her and give her all your attention so she knows your not some wierdo at the bar. I would think in this situation you would have to dedicate your whole night to talking to a girl like this to get the number in the end.

All very good points. I think Roosh is right, I probably had a negative attitude going in.

Anyway, went out again last night with a changed attitude and got a number of a brunette. She told me to call her, hopefully it's real number.

New question for you guys is when would you text/call her? I'm hesitant to wait because she said she's on vacation from her crappy retail job until Friday. In other words, probably going out over the next 2 nights. I'm thinking those would be good opportunities for us to go drinking and go from there. Any suggestions on texting/calling the next day?

Read the book!

Texting is a waste of time and you should wait 2-4 days to call her. The book will tell you much more after that, I really recommend it.

Its always better to wait a little while before texting or calling. Texting is NOT a waste of time by the way, more girls perfer that and if you dont text you will look like an idiot. But just wait. Its not like she works day and night so she will have free time other than the vacation she is on right now.

Yeah I knew that going into it but when I had that question If I told her how old I was then I would have lost it there. So instead I tried something else thinking my odds were not to good. Not sure what I should have done at that point.
