What's the best way to avoid the whores/hookers and just find where the NORMAL Brazilian chics are. And by normal, I mean ones that aren't asking money in order to bang them. Should Ipanema be avoided?

A small minority of girls are prostitutes. Odds are you won't encounter one. Ipanema is one of the richest areas of rio... I figure there's more in copacabana.

Are you kidding me? There are tons of prostitutes walking the streets of Ipanema and Copa. Being that Ipanema IS one the richest areas, makes it even easier to find gringo hunters/prostitutes. I was going out all the time and noticing the same girls hunting for foreigners at the same places (Ipanema Clubs, Emporium, Post 9, Lapa).

I was in Rio for 3 weeks. I don't look like a foreigner, and it was HARD not to run into the same slores everyday.

If you want to find a descent girl, you can't go out to the bar scene. You need to walk the streets and approach random girls. My brother did that and ending up closing with two chicas while he was there.

what city does everyone recommend in Brazil ??? only going there from the chicas ??? then medellin for 1 mnth.

Not entirely true. Being a foreigner works for you in two main ways:
1) You're automatically labeled exotic. Women love exotic men from faraway lands.

2) As a result of #1, you have more confidence for going out more, and meeting more chicks, etc. It's a positive feedback.

I went October-November 2008. Lots of fun man. Namaste looked like it was hopin' on a normal basis.

I do say what eric is saying. If you have zero game and go to a foreign country, you still have zero game, and unless you're good looking you'll get the scraps.

Also, there were quite a few adjustments i had to make to my washington dc game to make it work in s. america. I got lazy in DC because i found a pretty easy niche, and i was in for a rude awakening down there where it wasn't as easy as i thought.

Absolutely. My biggest regret is that I's stay out late drinking every night and got to sleep at like 6am, then I'd wake up late and feel like shit the next day, no mood for good day game. Instead, I should have went to bed early (night life is shit) and hit the day game hard. The beach was packed with hotties.

Im heading out there for Carnaval, I have some friends that are from Sao Paulo and they invited me for the event. I will be there Feb 7th 2010 until the 20th. I'd like to stay in a hostel but staying with my buddies would be a lot cheaper.
Approach (A1)...I'd say I'm an 8 but keeping convo's going has been a problem that I've had in the past. I've had many many awkward moments. "Say something, say anything"....I know I know but I draw blanks sometimes. With that said, I'm not a total failure! I WILL be able to pull ass there.
