I'm not sure how the slang term came to be but I first heard a girl referred to as a lizard from rapper Too $hort from the track called Freaky Tales from "Born to Mack" released in 1987

Is it really just new Moma forum slang?

In the 90s, Miami-bass genre rap group No Good & Jiggie released a record called Lizard Lizard. It was their debut LP released by Luther Campbell's (aka Luke aka Uncle Luke) Luke record label. The big single from that album was the title track, which has a chorus of the rappers calling, "Here Lizard, Lizard!" There was a music video released with it, featuring Uncle Luke, and here even a deaf man can figure out what the reference was.

The video was taking place at a mansion in Miami, at a big daytime summer bash. Pools, barbecue, super soakers, Slip-N-Slides, and lots of people including video hoes in bikinis, duh. As the rappers explore the premises and chase these hoes, he sees some of them morph into lizards once they believe they aren't being watched. They are in shock, try to find out how and when they turn back into that beautiful bitch that they saw in the first time.

Now my description of the video is based off a memory from my childhood. I was probably in third or fourth grade when I caught this video on The Box. My mom walked in the room, saw the video, and promptly turned the TV off. But I do remember that in the video, female=lizard.

Since then, I have heard the song a few times, and seen the video once a few years ago. Unfortunately, I was not able to find it on Youtube to simply link the forum to. Best I could find was a Amazon preview, available at this link without the spaces (amazon. com/Lizard-No-Good-N-Jiggie/dp/B00000DFSS). Go to the track listing and listen to track 5, and then listen to track 14.

This is the etymology of the slang term "Lizard" that I was believing, anyway. I wonder if Moma has ever heard the song or seen the video. I wonder where No Good & Jiggie learned the term... and I also wonder if it did originate here in Miami! Hm...

I like the term. Its sounds cool.
But the value of it comes from the fact that it dehumanizes whores a little bit. Calling every woman lizard even the ones you are emotionally getting attached to or care for, ensures that you keep them in their place and never on a pedestal. I have introduced it to 5-6 close friends and now in every day talk to call them Lizards. And evertime someone tries to say something emotional about a girl they are fucking, I just say remember after all she is just a lizard.
