I've just started prepping for BKK, and have already made the mistake of pipelining way too early. I signed up for TF 4 hours ago and have 64 messages in my inbox. Oh wait, now 68. This is too easy. I'm not going to even start on Tinder until I arrive.

Do these girls actually all end up wanting to meet up? Or is there a high flake factor.

I also have a whole bunch of 16 and 17 year olds 'showing interest'. Is this a common thing in Thailand?
Sift through the hottest ones and narrow your list down. Then work on them a little. Come up with a decent story so you don't seem like a tourist. Like you're moving there long term sorta thing.

Generally for me I never noticed a high flake factor at all, most were decently excited and persistent to meet.

I never experienced the younger interests too much as I thought TF was 18 up. Then I realized how much some Thai girls like to lie about their age. Couple years ago I hooked up with an 18 year old who ended up being 17. No biggie though as the consent age is like 16 or something and I was 22 at the time so I didn't feel too conflicted, (at 25 now I doubt I would either).

But yeah, get your story straight, get the LINE id from the girls. Then try to keep them going somewhat with some contact here and there until you arrive.

It's actually good to have time as you can move over to Skype and get a really good look at them since there's no photoshop or filters for Skype, (yet). That will save you the hassle of having to bail on a date or run away when you realize the chick isn't so "narak" as her pictures.
A lot of these girls are 16 and 17. I can't search for girls under 18 so that must be only possible from their end. I guess I'm too old for the 15-year-olds Smile
Age of consent is 16, but with some pretty serious stipulations. From what I understand basically all it takes is for them or their family to have remorse and you are guilty of statutory rape, so be real careful on that one.
Sounds like you might be quite busy on top of being quite busy. Is it a work trip?

I found around SE asia that quite often, girls would have a dating profile and say they were from BIG CITY, but when it got down to chatting/meeting up, often they weren't in said big city, but instead were somewhere (not in said BIG CITY) a few hours away, or more. Does that happen in BKK? I saw that quite a few times in the Phils, and actually in the DR too.

I would mostly agree with afarang (btw are you still in bkk? I'm here for a while)

I've been twice, the first time on a Friday night before Xmas which was relatively dead, I'd say fifty percent full, and again last Friday which was busier. Here's my breakdown for what it's worth.

Venue :

Although it's on a high floor you don't get the feeling of a rooftop bar, there's a smallish smoking balcony /Terrace that's good to open girls but you wouldn't want to place there all night.

Inside is a pretty generic loungey looking bar/club, to be honest you could be anywhere in the world and it's certainly not anything special in terms of venue design or decor.

Across form the main bar there's various seating on low tables, past this the standing tables and dance floor section start.

The dance floor and bar area close to it got busy the second time I was there, the rest of the place is largely dedicated to bottle service.

Music policy seems to be funky / cheesy house and rnb depending on the night, pretty inoffensive and you can hear much worse in Bangkok but nothing great.

Bottle service is not expensive and attentive, no need to book in my experience just rock up before 1130 and buy a bottle you'll be given a table. Special events there are suppose to be very busy so maybe worth booking ahead in that case.

A taxi from sukhumvit around 1030 pm was hellish and took over an hour for a twenty minutes journey so consider taking the Mrt.

Clientele :

As afarang mentioned because kdt is the latest hot ticket in bkk it's full of white cats, a few old dudes knocking around but largely a 25-35 demographic of well dressed guys rocking blazers etc and actively gaming, don't come here expecting a free lunch.

On the nights I went the Thai girls were surprisingly average, a few stunners but seemed more like slightly older, richer Thai girls who weren't necessarily that hot.

Other than the Thais spotted a few cute Korean and Japanese along with the usual euro types.

I will say the girls there seemed a lot friendlier than e.g. Rca or demo at the current point in time and I got opened a couple of times just standing at the bar.

Can't really say I love the place but certainly worth a visit, I hear Wednesday nights there are good, ladies night with free champagne for girls all night, will give that a look this week and report back.

One other note, if you are staying in bkk a bit longer I think it's good place to meet with local connects, I met the owner of 'pimp Bangkok' on the first night after she asked me for a light, joined their table and got invited to a house party at hers the following night, turned out to be pretty lame but most amazing place I've ever seen, 2 indoor pools etc and some cool people.

Second time got chatting to a local fashion designer who was rolling with a couple of models and have a pending private party invite later this week.

Bailed early the first night and picked up a pretty average looking thai the second night after procrastinating and time getting the better of me. It shuts at 2am so best to get there a little earlier.

I did try and go on Halloween night but the line was ludicrous, it was also full of some if the hottest Thai girls I've seen so seems like it really depends on the night you go as to the quality you'll find there.

If I think of anything else will update overall I'd say 7 out of 10, worth checking out.

The owner of Pimp is a girl? Was she older? Or was it the daughter of the owner? I'd love to own that place.

Hmm....so I guess I'm going to have to either lie about everything or stick to the 18+ crowd. Either way, the amount of messages I'm getting is overwhelming.

Yeah it's a work trip, but I'm going to take 3-4 days off after and have a weekend. I figured BKK would be a good place to go before going to my least favorite place in the world (Delhi).

Seems like having a legitimate reason to be in the city just makes it unfair to the others. Basically their first questions are 'Do you have a job in BKK?' 'Do you live in BKK?' 'Are you only interested in sex?'. I just tell them the truth and they are in shock that I'm not a sexpat.

That being said, it's not like these girls are 7+ - they are just regular girls.

Yes it happens but they'll usually have an upcoming trip to Bangkok planed, with only a short amount of free time, when they want to get some of that almighty white dick they're craving. A bit like a RVF member on a bang mission. Majority of girls are honest about their location though.

By the way I'm chatting with a girl who's working in the PIMP at the moment.

Just tell the truth that you go to Bangkok from time to time for work.

16 and 17 year old girls can't be searched for in thaifriendly but they can initiate contact. I'm guessing you paid for the subscription?
As much as locals want to ripp you off, don't pick a fight with them.

I don't know the exact circumstances, but I saw a legit fight here.
First, there was some screaming and I saw a Thai man walking away with a bleeding head. Seems like the tourist hit him somehow. Dude was circled by Thais and told to fucking leave, but tried to stay his ground. After some more fist-fighting with him, they picked up bar stools. Idiot didn't just run.
After a few hits with the bar stools and some decent Muay Thai kicks, he was lying on the street unconscious for 5 minutes, while some tourists did first aid and called the police/ambulance.
Dude got up after 5 minutes and left, the bar owners washed away the blood from the street, police and ambulance arrived to an empty scene. Nothing ever happend. Guess this dudes holidays were quite shitty after that night.

Yep, a chick , not the daughter but I'm thinking more Co owner or something she was pretty cagey about discussing business details. She's 29 I think and her friends were definitely older and not particularly attractive, or gay. No pimp girls at the party mores the pity, it was a pretty sedate affair.

Yeah, fighting Thais is a bad idea. They are cowardly and random Thais will jump in even if you are in the right, and they've never met the Thai involved ever in their life. They will also use weapons and not worry about the consequences because the police are unlikely to do anything.

Such a waste a girl owning that place. Being the owner of a place like that is the true pussy paradise.

Marry her and take half in the divorce.

For hotels, there are numerous options around Sukhimvit but the place is an absolute shithole at the moment.

I would suggest around Ekkamai-Thonglo area. It's called "mid-sukhimvit" and there are plenty of malls and your still close to the clubs.

Cody,

I'm interested in some of those condos. Or if anyone else has any suggestions, I'm all ears. However, this thread is very informative so I shouldn't have too hard of a time. I'm currently in Phuket but will be heading up to Bangkok in a couple of days.

Ha agree, she wasn't really all that, I'm tempted to post a pic of her group...
I'm going to BKK in about a month's time. I'll spend a few days in BKK before heading south to go diving, and was wondering if anyone can recommend a decent hotel. I've been to BKK a couple of times before but last time was around 5 years ago, so I assume both prices and hotels have changed...

In BKK I'd like to spend no more than 100USD per night, preferably in the Sukhumvit-area. I'm currently looking at a bunch of hotels on Tripadvisor, and I'm considering the following:
Viva Garden Residence (though this seems to be a bit too far away from everything? It's on Sukhumvit 60)

Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18

Lit Bangkok (In Wangmai it says, the shopping district?)

I'm also considering the AEATAS Lumpini and another one in the Sathorn District. How does Sathorn compare to the rest of BKK?

Thanks

Check the last couple of pages, lots of hotel recommendations.

I actually have to move to Bangkok for [almost] a year in the short term future. [I've never been particularly interested in Asian girls but I figure I'll make the most of it]

On this point, is there any cultural differences to be wary of in regards to the women. By this I mean:

- Do you run any particular risks [Specific to Bangkok] by bringing girls back to your apartment?

- Is there a higher risk of 'crazy' girls once you break off contact?

And finally: What is the average financial situation like. I.E: Will they have on average 250-300 baht for dinner or a movie etc?

Out of that list ONLY stay at Park Plaza. The others are a bit out the way in terms of clubs and bars. I used to live near VIVA 2 years ago, the area is dead for a tourist.

I will aim to do a shitty podcast soon about where to stay in Bangkok on my site, hopefully it don't turn out like shit.
http://www.millenniumhotels.com/grandmil...rooms.html is available at around 3000THB on Wotif mystery hotels. 100m from Cowboy and Asoke BTS/Terminal 21, but it's not overrun with hookers right outside.

Oakwood Apartments are cool too: http://www.oakwoodasia.com/bangkok/oakwo...vit-24.php if you want more of an apartment.

If you want to stay right in the middle of it, in fact have popular night clubs (Levels) in your hotel, then consider Aloft: http://www.starwoodhotels.com/alofthotel...rtyID=3211

If you want to stay near Thonglor/Ekamai then you have some decent options there too, including Grass Suites: http://www.grassthonglor.com/

I've stayed at all above (and many more), so let me know if you have any questions.

I've never used online dating before but I assume in a country like Thailand certain details can cut off the majority of the market.

I.E: Duration of stay, Display of money etc. I can't imagine appearance is the most important attribute on a thai dating site.
Appearance is the most important attribute.

Bangkok isn't a dirt poor city filled with farm girls eating bugs like people who have never been here before think.

Duration of stay will matter a lot as well for the better looking girls, but the better looking girls aren't online for the most part anyways.

Free accounts don't get the reach they used too. Paid accounts get put on the front of the searches.I assume elcidcampeador has a paid membership.

That's a positive. I've been there twice [Albeit for only a few weeks] but the girls essentially throwing themselves at you seemed fishy to me [I.E: The whole if it doesn't happen normally, somethings up].

But that actually sounds a lot better. I think I would go insane if low level game/looks were just as successful as high-level game/looks.

That was one of my big worries. Good to know.
