Thanks for the info-

I don't want to stay at the MO as have stayed at them in the past and find them stuffy full of older men...

Unfortunately that's the case with a lot of nicer hotels that they have an older crowd..

Looking at the choices it's between Marriot , Intercontinental and Aloft - basically want to have the best logistics possible and be at a place which will be cool to hang out ...

If you had the choice where would you choose... I love my rooftop bar type places but where it's ok to be solo and the rest of the crowd is not couples or groups..

I would choose the Marriot; Thonglor location (although not in the heart) trumps the other hotels you have on your radar. Flying solo or not if money is not an issue and your not looking for a layup, Thonglor/Ekkamai is where I would want to be. You can always take a cab to Soi 11 or places like Mixx if nothing works out in Thonglor/Ekkamai or RCA.

Thanks!

I've booked the Marriott on 57 for now... If I don't like it I can always change to another hotel.

Btw would be good to organise a night out - anyone people for for a night out / meet up on Sat Nov 14th?

By no means want a cock fest with only guys as ultimately want to hook up but to start an evening with a few drinks would be cool with some fellow members ...
I'm looking for a cheap apartment in Bangkok. My only requirements are that it is close enough to a sky train and the complex has a pool and gym. Otherwise, I could care less how much of a shit hole it is because the cheaper it is, the longer I can stay. Any Airbnb suggestions?

What's your budget and how long will you be staying? For a short stay (1-2 weeks) I know a very decent AirBnB place for 1500 THB per night.
My post goes back to the topic of custom suits. In the past I went to Tailor On Ten, as recommended by other members here. I got a blazer and 3 shirts made and I'm very happy with them. I'll be back in Bangkok for 1 week in December. I'm planning to get 2 suits and several shirts made this time. I'll likely go back to ToT, but wondering if anybody has found a better tailor. Is ToT still the best tailor in Bangkok?

Not what you asked for but Selvedgework does really nice custom made jeans. Just got my pair from them a few weeks ago, really happy. Starts at 5600b for the once with stretch. Mine was 7600 with 14.5onze fabric.

Appreciate the response. So you're saying non-hooker venues have always closed at 2/3am but then go on to say that things are back to normal closing at 5-6am, which is a bit of a contradiction. Could you please clarify?

Which venues specifically have you seen open until that time?

hi guys

first time poster... from australia

i have come across this site after googling clubbing in Thailand, amongst other things

i have a question in relation to thai girls

i have never been to thailand. the only asian countries i have been to are singapore and indonesia (bali). for years, my friends have travelled throughout asia - full moon parties ; KL ; vietnam etc and i have declined every opportunity because i always saved my money for europe and the usa - and i don't have yellow fever

this time, however, i feel the time is ripe to give it a go... or is it?

the problem i have is that i'm starting to think the chicks over there won't like me because i'm too big

not big as in fat, but big as in muscled

i've been hitting the gym very hard since i was 20 and i have grown like crazy from day 1. it's all luck. pure genetics. i'm 28 in Feb.

i didn't get good karma from the singapore girls. bali on the other hand was full of travellers and a lot of the locals appeared to prostitutes so i didn't care to notice

a cousin of mine lived in japan for a while and he said i would be a novelty over there, and that the chicks would be scared of me. they like kawaii, not big, he said

i know i wont like pattaya because ive got better things to do then hang around gogo bars for a week, but i am willing to hit bangkok for 8 nights as long as i know im having a good time with the ladies. i do like the idea of going over and smashing a few locals with little english, but i dont want to stand there and see my mates have all the fun while i get rejected out-of-hand because im some sort of freak.

is it worthwhile going? do the local non-prostitute thai chicks dig bigger guys?

and what about my looks? i have a heavy southern european look. my dad is greek and my mum is egyptian. i have been told i am good looking. i have an olive complexion.

i am 181cm. about 100kg. lean. i look like i'm steroids.

any intel would be helpful. ive banged asian chicks in australia and one in san diego too, but they have been "westernised"

cheers

ive enjoyed reading your posts

@pamplonabull: Just give it a try, man. If they won't like you (what I doubt though), you can still hit up the party islands in the south and clean up with the tourist girls there. You could also sign up on thaifriendly or fake your location on Tinder, put up some pics of your body and see how the feedback is.

I've been to Thailand 9 times since 2011 so i'm quite a regular there

My advice is to stay away from Thailovelinks, Thai Friendly and Tinder.
It's a minefield of average lookers, money scroungers, prostitutes and serial farang cock hunters

I've developed a little niche that i would like to share.. I contact universities girls in Bangkok through Facebook with friendly unsolicited messages.

Target the high end universities like Chulalongkorn & Mahidol. All the rich families send their kids there so they're not short of money.

As most of you know, if you send a msg to a strange on Facebook, your message goes in ther "Other" folder and they get no notifications.. BUT if you have a mutual friend, they will get it in their inbox as normal. add a few girls from those universities on Facebook.. some will accept you and give u access to their friends list. Check out the hotties on their friends list that go to the same university and send them inbox messages. Keep it short and sweet.. "Hello, you look lovely". It's wise to do a little vetting of these profiles.. stay away from those with boyfriends, those that have 1000s of Facebook friends (too popular).

You will get ignored half the time, and you'll get the "do i know you" messages but you will get a fair share of positive welcoming girls who are fascinated that a farang has messaged them out of the blue. Don't harass people.. if they ignore you or you get a unpleasant message just block them and move on.

My recent trip i met up with a GORGEOUS 22 year old Veterinarian student at Chulalongkorn. She would come to my hotel room most nights and stay with me. At the weekend she'd drive me around the provinces in her Mercedes. She never asked me for anything and always offered to pay for dinner,

That's smart. She would never ask for money for her sick water buffalo.

Jokes aside, I noticed that Tinder or Thaifriendly barely have any girls from top universities, so your approach is definitely a good idea. If I am lucky, I will be studying at Chulalongkorn next year and I am already thinking about all the gorgeous girls I will have access to Banana

Sorry, I meant to say that the one I banged in San Diego was actually Thai. All of the other Asian bangs I have had in the USA, Australia, NZ and in Asia have NOT been Thai.
Hello guys, Im coming to Bangkok soon for 1 month. From what I read, if I don't want to stay in an Hotel, my best bet is Airbnb no? Even though those same apartments are being rented for half less if I was staying longer. Any better choices or ways to get those apartment for their real price?

Also I will come from the uber safe Korea (the South one ...), usually when I lived in Mexico and Africa I used to remove my watch (gold on it) and my gold necklace. Should I do the same there or its safer?

Thanks for the replies!
@Tankinou Thailand is a pretty safe city, much more so that central or south America.

Not sure what your best bet for accommodation is as I don't know your price range, but yes staying longer you can get a very cheap place, staying 1 month or less you are going to be spending vacation tourist prices for accomodation.
Thank you for the fast and nice answer.

Is Sathorn near Mae Nam Subway a good location?

I would love to stay longer but then I ll need to ask for a visa, I need to check if its easy to get and if I can do it while In Bangkok.
If you are staying a month in Bangkok, you can find a short term apartment for 13-15k per month. Check out if iPremium on Sukhumvit 81 has available units. KV Mansion is another short term rental on the same street, but has older furniture and is a bit more expensive. Most nicer places require a minimum stay of 6 months.

If you want to stay for a week in Bangkok and travel the rest of the time, I recommend getting a nicer AirBnB apartment for 1500-2000 Baht per day.

I wouldn't say that Sathorn is a good location to live in, since it is relatively far from most nightlife places. Better stick to Sukhumvit (BTS stations Asoke - On Nut).
I will be in Soi 22 close to Bts Phrom Phong so I should be good. Thanks for all the advices.

Solid advice about avoiding most online game.

How many girls did you bang through this Facebook strategy? And how much time were you spending on it? Sounds like a lot of work.
No way I'm avoiding thaifriendly. I get some dudes only bang 9+s but for mere mortals happy to bang 6s and 7s with little hassle it's great.

Hi I'm staying on soi 22 right now as well, mind PMing me? Maybe we can smash some weights or go out one night.

Cheers,
Scott
I just stumbled upon this girl's TF profile and found it interesting to read. She clearly knows what's going on.

Quote:I LIKE YOU

But the secret is this:
Most Thai girls are so stupid! They don't want someone who really cares...They just want sweet words...even if sweet words are lies, it's ok for them... And many Thai girls, they just want a tall guy with blond hair and blue eyes...or a guy with tatoos and a motorcycle... Thai girls , Thai people come from an old culture... They dont know new culture ... Thai people dont understand foreigners
They mostly look at the 'outside' and, Thai people are not experienced at 'looking inside' foreigners so, most Thai girls choose the wrong foreigner - based on money, fun , holiday, image, and empty words Nice men are nice But, THai girls don't usually choose 'nice' men
Thai girls usually choose 'fake' men
They don't know who is 'nice' and who is 'fake'
Thailand is not poor
but, Thailand is not Experience -
so, foreign men can be Fake , and Thais are easy to believe so Serious girls need to wake up and become more serious
Serious Thai girls need to Learn about Real foreigners, and not play with holiday or fake men Because they are 'shallow' men
They dont want to take time for Real Relationship or....they have somethign wrong - too Old, criminal, crazy, wierd, social reject but, the Thai girls dont even know who is a Normal foreigner
Often I see THai girls with some foreigner, so wierd, crazy, bad the foreign ladies will not accept these Weird men, but the Thais don't know who is Wierd
To learn about man , you must See his Real life.
Usually the girl, or family, can see the mans' home, family, friends, work, history

So they can see his real life, they can understand 'who is he' and what kind of a man he is.
The girl's eyes were open to see his real life.
.....
But with foreigners, they do not have a 'Real' life in Thailand.
Maybe they are on holiday, or some job, and some condo.. but that is not real life - they can leave anytime.

The Thai girl cannot see the man's History : family, real home, old friends, community.
The Thai girl can only see what he shares - fun, words, money, basic things in Thailand.
SHe cannot see all of his Real Life and History
so, SHe cannot know Who is he.
.... if she believes him, she is only believing his words, and her hopes (dreams)
So it is easy for the man to trick her, and foreigners are talented actors.
That is all dear.
If you want to know a real man, you must see his Real Life.

I found that same Thai girl's profile on TF awhile back. Sometimes I go on TF just to see the endless parade of half naked girls and the hilarious profiles. TF was absolutely worthless vs Tinder for me.
Hey guys -

I'm going to be in BKK starting this weekend for a couple of weeks. I've read through this thread and thank you all for sharing your awesome experiences.

Got a question - I've seen Route 66 recommended as one of the go to spots. Would it make sense to stay there - I found an Airbnb minutes away in this building: http://tccondo.com.

I also found a studio in this building: http://www.ipremium-srp.com.

What would you guys recommend?

If not those two, any recommendations for places to stay - neighborhoods, airbnb's etc.?

Thanks!

Awesome technique! What's the next step after you message them and they respond positively, let's say "thank you". Are you straight up asking em for a drink or do you build it up?
