They just came out ahead in the cronyism and corruption games.

They're still dumb as fuck when compared to most educated first world people and crazy narcissists thanks to cheap servant type labor from drivers to maids etc.

You'll find more intelligent people working 40k baht IT and engineering jobs than in those spheres and as a foreigner you're irrelevant to them either way.

Houses in gated communities aren't even expensive, 40-50k a month will get you one in Nichada Thani.

Might be a mia noi to an actual rich guy looking to get some validation from someone who isn't a wrinkly old dude. This probably wouldn't work if you were white btw. As a korean you come closer to upper class chinese thais in looks if you don't have tan skin.

Thai society in Bangkok above the working poor is pretty seedy and you can rarely be sure who people actually are, especially when you frequent the nightlife.

Congrats to the lay though.

Why do you sound so bitter? The man was giving a lay report, this isn't a marriage thread. So all your hamstering about how he is irrelevant to them isn't needed. What obsession are you talking about? Rich chicks are fun and exciting to go out with ime, and for most guys they aren't an everyday lay where as 50k salary girls are everywhere, so of course it's worth mentioning, whether or not it's a noteworthy achievement in your books.

And nit picking how the houses in gated communities aren't that expensive, how petty can one get? For all you know it could be a 30 million Baht baller pad..

No need to shit on the dudes lay report because you had a bad experience with a rich chick, or you're unable to attain one. Chillax brah.
Sup guys. I'll be in town from 6-19 April for Songkran. Looking to party. Let me know if you're around.

Just educating people on thais. If I was in a western country and got with a rich girl living on her own who doesn't look like a hooker, is above average looking and presumable has access to guys of equal status I'd think I'm hot shit but in Thailand there are always more angles to it (usually mia noi if she isn't an outright hooker).

There are very few "respectable" thais in the nightlife that aren't sticking to cliques of people that they already know and are vouched for as it's very hard to tell who is who.

This guy knows what he's talking about. Now some members might not like confrontational writing style but gives good insight from the local level. But AsiaBaller you might just want to keep emotions out of check and talk more rationally.

Pretty sure that girl was a mistress looking for action on the side while her sugar daddy was away. Nothing wrong with that, I've had my fair share of hotties with side sponsors (big bonus they usually use BC).

Glad WKR took my advice and actually went to Demo. Top tier talent heaven. Haven't cracked the code there, but usually match with the same girls on Tinder anyways who frequent these places.

If you do go with a crew, buy a bottle instead of spending 500 THB on tickets. If you have a gang of 4 or 5 it'll be cheaper and you can table hop and position yourself next to group of thai hotties. Alternatively, a tinderella may offer you to join her group, take it. Even if she turns out to be meh, you'll be in with her friends.

I read the story while listening to the recording. Thumbs up for entertainment value!
Taking "whitening" to the next level:

Just arrived in Bangkok. Met three girls yesterday, all from Thai friendly. First girl was a chubby 5, who was the most eager to meet. We met for lunch at a nearby mall. We came back to my place later in her modified Honda civic. Banged within 15mins.
Next girl met me in a bar, we had a beer then I walked her to my place. Made her a drink but she wants to go to the club and dance. I told her I'm tired and can't go. She started texting all the guys in front of me till one of them agreed to meet her and pay for her drinks. Then said she's leaving. I didn't look at her until she left. There's was no bye.
It was midnight and I was ready to sleep when I saw a text from a girl who wanted to come over. I said alright. She came and I paid for her taxi. Straight away banging barely talked and she left.
I'm already bored by this online meetings and want to go clubbing tonight. I saw the Demo club from outside and the crowd was pretty decent. All Thai girls with their friends. The bar that I went last night was all Thai. I was the only foreigner there.
Anyone up for clubbing tonight Pm me. I'm thinking of checking out Demo club and then Rca.
Mid 20s guy. From Canada
^ sounds exactly like my usual Thai date experience.
^ Which part of it?
^ all of it.

Banging within 15 minutes of meeting.

Girl being a haughty cunt where I give up on talking to her anymore, and she leaves (or I leave) without saying bye. (At least I didn’t pay the whole tab).

Getting ready to sleep, when I get a late night text saying “where are you? Can I see you now na” and she comes over.
First post for a long time lurker. I wanted to make my recent BKK trip my first post and had a lot to say, however, I recently heard from my friends in BKK that the military has recently cracked down on Police to strictly enforce closing times for bars and clubs. I don't know if members living in BKK have heard the same thing?

Of course, this thing has happened before but what's worrisome is that it's the military this time, and not just a half ass attempt by the Police to crack down for a week and then return to business as usual. I know for sure that one of my favorite spots, Smalls in Sathorn, now closes at midnight, where it used to be open to 3 am. Some bars and clubs (primarily in Thonglor) that can afford to pay Police to look the other way will stay open, but many of the smaller ones either can't, or won't take the risk.

What's even more interesting to me (and this is just my opinion, feel free to disagree) is that I think the Thai government has realized that they don't need Farang money anymore. I'm sure many of you are aware of the Chinese money that has flooded into BKK over the past couple of years, and as long as hordes of Chinese come to BKK every month to buy shit, the need (and tolerance) for Farang tourism may dwindle.

And it seems that the Thai government is moving away from the backpacker/sexpat image to a more refined, global city. I think the demise of Soi 38 for a luxury tower is evidence of that, so I wonder if this means the tolerance for Nana or Patong is over.

But here is a quick roundup of my experience (24 nights in BKK, 4 in Samui):

Demo still #1
Demo (and Funky Villa and that whole complex) is your best bet. It's the only area that is consistently packed (although on the weekends it's too packed, you need to get there early). Not to mention it has the best concentration of girls, whereas other places are a hit and miss.

72 Courtyard and Beam. 72 Courtyard is a two story complex on Sukhumvit 55 in Thonglor. It has a few bars and restaurants on both floors, with the nightclub Beam on the second. I don't know why Beam sucks, but it does. It may be too small, or too loud, but the main problem is that no one goes there. Which is strange because the courtyard is packed on weekend night, but no one goes into Beam. And when you do, the hip hop room is too small and the upstairs is empty and it's just Hi-So Thai dudes and Farangs doing drugs in the bathroom. But I would still recommend hitting up the Courtyard as a place to start, Beer Belly on the first floor is good, and then hang out in front of Beam, either at the Mexican or Tapas restaurant next to it, and just wait for the girls to go in and then catch them when they leave 10 minutes later.

Soi 11
Above 11 is my favorite bar on Soi 11, it's a roooftop bar with a great view and a great vibe. Perhaps the best thing about Above 11 is that there's no lurking ladyboys or prostitutes (at least not when I went there). The view is great as well, especially from the bathroom.

Sugar. I had a great time here and you do get a nice showing of young tourists (both Western and Asian) looking to have a good time. This is a good after hours spot if you don't want to go to Mixx or Insanity.

Mixx
I'm not going to lie, I love Mixx. I like the crowd (a shitshow of Farangs, Indians, Sexpats, and clueless tourists) and I enjoy the seediness of it. I used to hang out at Nana and Mixx gives me that touch of seediness without having to go full Nana. But I do need to point out that any regular girls that go to Mixx get there early, like 12 or 12:30, so you need to get there early as well. Any girls who show up after 1 am are generally prostitutes. Also, the best days for regular girls at Mixx are the weekends, the weekdays are mostly prostitutes.

Finally, be careful about checking your bottle at Mixx. For those of you who don't know in BKK you can check in your bottle with the club like you would your jacket. You ask your waiter to check in the bottle, they give you a claim ticket and you generally have 3 or 5 days to return and get the same unfinished bottle. I definitely recommend it if you're going to be hitting the same club (you will however, have to pay the entrance fee when you return), but again be careful at Mixx. I only bought bottles of Belvedere, and checked in bottles at 3 clubs including Mixx. And Mixx was the only bottle that tasted funny after I returned to claim it. I don't know exactly what they did, my guess is that they switched out the Belvedere with a shittier vodka, but they did something because it definitely tasted off.

Drugs
This may not apply to many of you, but you have to be really careful about drugs in Thailand and drugs I'm talking about Cocaine and X (I seriously hope none of you are using Ice). Thai police will let you get drunk, act like a buffoon, punch a Farang or a women Farang, pass out on the sidewalk, but if they search your pocket and find a half empty gram baggie, you're fucked. So first time Farangs, BKK isn't America, you can't be cavalier with it. And with the rumor of the military getting strict, drug crackdowns might be inevitable.

Western Women
This expands on what was mentioned a few posts ago, and it may seem ridiculous to spend a few grand on a flight to the other side of the world to hook up with American girls, but you shouldn't pass over hot Western girls if they're available. There are hordes of Western girls traveling to Thailand every year to take Instagram pictures at Phuket, Samui and at the elephant preserve in Chang Mai (I think a good daygame opportunity is to hang out at the Elephant preserve in Chang Mai offering your IG photo services to Western women). They all pass through BKK at some point, and all of them are starved for the attentions of a charming gentleman. And if you know the city, you can DHV pretty easily by taking to them to cool spots. My go to bar to take Western women is Smalls, they all seem to like the vibe, the drinks and the late night pizza menu.
Good post dodgy. Except for the last part. Seeing an entitled western tourist girl gets nothing but an eye roll. In contrast the expat professionals who lived here a while do tend to adjust their attitude, else they won't get any action except for some thirsty western backpackers.
Dodgy,

Funny/puzzling as I've had the EXACT opposite experience-Demo was shit, and I had a blast at Beam and number closed possibly the hottest Thai girl I met in BKK, and later went on a date with her.

IMO the layout at Demo is weird as fuck, tiny, narrow space with people just clustered in groups around tables standing around, extremely high visibility so everyone can see you approaching other groups....what's your approach on Thai table game?

With Demo and other clubs it's easier to go with a group of guys and buy a bottle. That gives me a base by which I can then move around and catch girls in transit to the bathroom or walking around, while my buddies stay and watch the table. And then we'll trade off, and I'll guard the table while they move around. Sometimes I'll bring a group of girls back, sometimes they do.

But for approaching tables it's hard. It goes back to what was discussed a few pages back about BKK being harder than it's made out to be. In my opinion the biggest challenge is the need to be direct and aggressive, but at the same time observing Thai social decorum (for those of you reading who don't know, politeness is massively important in Thai society). If I had a way or a theory detailing how to do that, I would probably be trying to sell it to Farangs and Indian dudes.

My best answer (or guess) is to have a social circle of guys who ideally speak good Thai. I've found Thai girls to be more receptive to my Korean friend (who lives in BKK and speaks excellent Thai) and my Farang friend (who speaks ok Thai) when they approach tables speaking Thai. Of course, my job is to back them up so they don't feel like the spotlight is on them.

Lumpini Park has a basketball court and there is usually a pick-up game going on in the evening.

I agree. Demo is shit. Very hot girls but it's all social circle bullshit. Almost everyone is Asian and there's a reason why white guys don't hangout here. I approached a lot here and got nothing. The best place is to approach is near the toilet and outside at the smoking section. You'll see occasionally a girl standing alone and texting on phone. Do an approach and talk to her toll her friends arrive and drag her away. Very well off guys too. I saw guys coming in fucking Lamborghini and Mb sls class.
Love Route 66. Girls are actually there to hook up with foreigners.
Will be in BKK for at least a week starting April 5th.
PM me if you want to meet, or join the meetup thread here: https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-67756.html

Incidentally, I'd love to get your advice on:
1. Where should I stay? (I'm leaning towards AirBnb, from what I read here it's also better for pulling so win-win)
2. I'm mid-30s but easily pass off as late-20s. Should I lie about my age?
3. What radius do you put in Tinder?

You'll want to stay somewhere between Siam Square BTS station, up to Thong Lo / Ekkamai. (But don't stay near Nana, a lot of p2p scene)

Airbnb is fine, hotels are also good. There are some very well situated hotels in Thong Lo, and also closer towards Siam Square, all depends on your personal taste.

I've stayed in both Airbnb's and hotels in BKK. So whatever fits your budget/style. (You won't have a problem bringing people back to any decent hotel).

No need to lie about your age, the acceptable age gap is much larger in Asia. But do whatever you need to feel comfortable.

As for tinder, honestly I swipe left on 98% of women when using Tinder in Asia, yes there are some decent finds, but so much easier to just go to a bar or mall and find way higher talent. But if you insist on using Tinder, depends what your goal is. Just make sure if you do set a big radius, to require the girl to come to you, don't travel far away to meet her in some run down area.

Girls WILL travel from farther areas to have a night out/date in downtown BKK though, so you shouldn't be worried about that.

Fake but funny.

She wanted to prove to her viewers that you shouldn't be self-conscious when speaking imperfect English.

Unfortunately I doubt he'd have been as tolerant if she wasn't hot and they weren't being filmed. [/php]
Any recommendations for Songkran?
I heard Chiang Mai is good?

If any one wants to hang out please let me know i'm here for a while, I don't mind if we daygame, night game or just generally hang out.

Chiang Mai is shit for Songkran. I love CM but did not enjoy Songkran there. If you do go try to stay in Nimman area or Huay Kaew. If you head into the Thapae gate old town area, make sure you keep your mouth closed. Most of the water used there (90% at least) is from the moat. Another RVF guy said he got an ear infection from there during Songkran a few years back.

While on the subject, be careful taking advice from guys who don't live here, especially Adrenaline (BK is played out), who constantly gives misleading info. Go to the lower level of the airport where the entrance to the Rail Link (Metro) to the city is. There you will find 7 or 8 exchange booths. Check the boards for the best exchange. Value+ usually matches the best rate, has two booths and is rarely busy. There are two different Super Rich exchange booths at the airport and throughout the city; Super Rich orange and Super Rich green. Super Rich green usually gives the better exchange. I'm flying from my home in Northern Thailand on Sunday for a conference in BK and will land in (BKK) instead of (DMK), just to exchange $U.S dollars that I brought back from Phnom Penh.

Thanks for this! I went where you said and got great rates, like 3 baht per USD less than the official rate off Google... crazy.

Any good exchange booths in the Asoke area?
^ SuperRich always has the best rates (their rates vary between offices but still the best around). Expect huge lines in Asok but much less in Nana or Siam. Should be more or less the same rates.

Now if someone could find an ATM that doesn't charge fees, that would be really nice Smile
