What do you mean by "checking thaivisa"?
Are you talking about thaivisa.com? It looks like a news site so I'm not sure I follow Huh

You're welcome.
just got back from a night in Bangkok (been there quite a few times before). Hit the nightlife with a mate who is currently living there on a short term job contract and he seems to be banging a new girl every few days but 95% of it is from tinder which is kind of cheating the system IMHO.

we had a good night out, it was a tuesday night and we went to Thong Lor to a club called Demo. The place was pumping and has two rooms. one was more commercial and the other more hard dance. both were full but i found that the commercial room was a better setup for opening, especially if you camp out by the long bar as there's plenty of girls coming and going.

music was good and ratio was probably about 50/50. definitely some pretty girls there but i had read from other posters that they'd seen some of the hottest girls in their life here and i couldn't say that this was the case when i was there. All the same, there was still lots of cute girls and they were there for a good time but most are there as part of a group with thai guys as well and these guys can sometimes be cock blockers. We left at about 2.15am and it was only just starting to thin out so i think it goes till 3am at least.

there were only about 2 or 3 other westerners in the place (guys) and that was it. Foreigner value was medium.. nothing like what you get when you walk into a bar full of freelancers for example. This is a place you go to for a fun night out and chat to a few girls and see what happens but don't expect 100% that you'll score. girls at Demo are not there to find a western guy, so it's more of a challenge. We danced with a few hot thai girls, chatted to a few others and had 2 korean girls (no better than 5s) at the bar who were keen but we let that go as the quality was too low. my mate got a phone number of one of the hottest girls in the place but she never returned his messages haha.

some other tips for BKK nightlife are:
- SPICY CLUB: been here a few times and it's really hit and miss. sometimes is half empty and full of hookers, but other times i've been there and picked up western tourists and normal thai girls. keep this place as a back up. sometimes it's full, other times nearly dead.
- BANYAN TREE HOTEL ROOFTOP: apart from the brilliant view from the bar up there, there's actually quite alot of western tourists who go there for drinks and it's usually Jam packed around the main bar so it's relatively easy to open with girls there. not likely to get a ONS there and then but you might meet a group of girls and head out to another club from there with them..
-SING SING: have been inside and it's not that big but it's an older western crowd and my mate has picked up there.
- KHAO SAN ROAD: A mix of everything and worth hitting up one night if you're there for a few nights.
-levels/insanity etc: these clubs are full of western guys and thai hookers and freelancers. however there is the odd non pro thai girl on the right night (it's fairly easy to tell) and it's very possible to get phone numbers etc and if you're lucky maybe a ONS. most of these clubs are near sukhumvit.
don't laugh but also was dragged into a gay club called DJ station in Soi 4 one time with a mate of mine who's gay and if you can put up with it the rewards are there as there is a small number of girls inside with their gays friends and there is ZERO competition. I picked up easily, all i had to do was show interest and prove i was straight and the deal was done. and yes it was definitely a girl !

DAY GAME: Bangkok IMO is one of the best places in the world to day game. The airport, shopping malls, restaurants and hotels are all good options. even just in the street randomly. I've picked up phone numbers from cute thai girls working in shopping malls and in hotel lobbies without much difficultly. i've also found that western tourists are generally very easy to open in Bangkok, both day and night - the issue is actually finding them..

Bangkok is a huge city and there's loads of beautiful Thai women around. you just need to get out and about and you'll find them. Be an approach machine, do it with a smile and not sleezy and you'll go well. Literally everything you do in Bangkok will present an opportunity to pick up so always be on your game.

Happy Travels!

Last time I went there I easily wasted a whole working day. For the best time to go checking thaivisa is probably advisable.

Getting there from the BTS takes quite some time, then you need to navigate the fairly large place, wait forever until all the retirees that come before you are done, get processed by some condescending bureaucrat and wait again forever and a half to pick up your passport.

You can get photocopies and photos done there.

The last time I was there, the tourist visa extensions had their own queue, so it didn't take much time. My number even got called before I had a chance to sit down and wait.

Things either changed since then or you got in at a good time. I just remember getting a number and waiting quite some time in a general seating area until I was called with all kinds of retirees getting processed before me by the same officials.

First answer to my post lol. Man, I really don't want to something my friends would not want. But if Airbnb guys will not return the money which they paid for their stay, then I definitely will.

Why would your friends care about you writing the name of the condo that kicked them out? I don't get it.

And it was the condo that kicked them out not the airbnb owner, so I don't get why you'd only tell us if they don't get paid back?

You're just naming the condo not the airbnb listing.

I'm mostly curious if it was Trendy condo on soi 13 because that's a really good spot for 1000-1200 baht/night on Airbnb, I often recommend that to people

No that's not how it works. There are dedicated sections for each type of visa you are on. Retirees do not need to extend like tourist visa holders do. They have 1 year and then do the 90 day check ins which is a different area of the room. Same as other non B and non B visa holders. Tourist visa renewals (J and K area) are only for tourist visa and visa exemption on arrival 30 day extensions. So no retirees are not in the same line.
FYI - RagnarLothbrok and I arrived at the immigration office today just a little after 8:30 AM and left before 10:00 AM including taking passport photos, photocopying passport, and filling in the form. Not half bad! Moral (I think) - come early.
Anyone know where one could rent a camera in BKK to take photos with? Phone isnt cutting it anymore, and dont want to buy one outright.
Anyone still around and up for day/night game?
I just was in Bangkok for 1 week and these are my impressiones. Its not a full data sheet, but after the nice input I got on the forums here I want to give something back.

Where to stay: 1 week we stayed next to sukhumvit 11, my and my friend had an own appartment. Its like a red light district with clubs. Its good for going somewhere else, because it is central and next to the bts station. Lots of prostitutes and ladyboys, even at the clubs. I didnt really like it to go out to the clubs in this area. could not tell if prostitute or not and boring vibe.

Khao San Road: Not so central but most fun for partying. There is party just on the streets. Many western people.

Daygame: Didnt do any.

Tinder: Now it becomes intresting. Iam blond blue eyes well trained. I got over 1000 likes in a week. My also white friend(but no blue eyes and blond hair) got like half of it. Most of the asians stay with asians but there is a certain percentage of thai girls who mostly or only(kind of weird) date white men. I always aksed them if they like blonde men and most replayed which "I like" or "I love". There is no game needed to meet a good looking thai girl. My third message was always: Come to my appartment. 99% said no, because they wanted to meet on the outside, but 1% is enough.

Girls: As I said there is a group of thai girls who date only white girls. Thai girls are very small, petite, feminime and can have nice faces. They dont kiss in public, but they go home with you and have sex with you without lmr. I never really dated a thai girl so I dont know how that is. I banged 6 girls in 8 days and could have had much more. 5 asian girls, 3 of them stunners. 1 white girl from the street of khao san.

Conclusion: If you are white and not banging here, you should be banging the coffin, because you wont bang anywhere.

City: Not so nice. Just wanted to leave after a few days. Dont know why just not a nice city to be.
Hey brothers, long time lurker first time poster. My first trip to BKK middle of June for about 3 weeks. Anyone with experience there want a pretty decent wing on a couple of outings so I can save some time learning the area? I'm staying on Rama IV close to mbk
Hi guys I'm in need of a wing and just some general male company.

If any one wants to hang out please let me know i'm here for a while, I don't mind if we daygame, night game or just generally hang out.

28 Male, Switzerland.
I am now staying near Hua mak station ( airport rail link) and almost no girl want to come to this area to go for a tea or coffee, So I changed My logistics. Now I will stay near BTS Bang chak, I will move this weekend. Is this a good area to stay ? And where can you watch some live muay thai fights for a decent price?

If anyone is down to meetup, let me know.

Still bad but way better, now at least they can use the BTS to come meet you. Not much exciting stuff to do in the area once they get there though.

Offering to take the BTS yourself 3 stops to Ekkamai to meet them at Gateway mall or Major Cineplex, 5 stops to Phrom Phong to meet them at Benjasiri park, or 6 stops to Asok to meet them at Terminal 21 or Benjakiti park, would result in more dates.
Tempted to head to Bangkok again for a week before I fly back home. Just can't shake that place!
I have a condo available to anyone who is going to be in Bangkok. Available from mid June-October. I prefer a minimum of one month stays though 2-3 months would be perfect. Close to BTS (7 minute walk), newer condo on a high floor, good view and corner room. Condo has a great pool, decent gym, 711 and a few restaurants in the building. Not looking to make cash off anyone just looking for rent to be paid while I am away. 15,000 thb plus electricity, water and wifi (about another 1k baht per month). PM me for more details in interested.
Which area is the condo?
@kdog what does your rental contract says about sub-renting. Not really intereded but just curious how it is perceived in the thailand.
PM me for details.
I've seen a lot of visa issues in this thread. Can someone give me a rundown of what the exact problem is?
Depend what passport you have...
Lots of people over exaggerating the issues. Basically they might start to look at you if you live here on tourist visas for too long. At that point you either change up your visa (ED, elite, non b) or just change up consulates you get tourist visas from, try to make your visa trips a week or two, or if you're nervous about it you can make some fake flight itinerary and carry 20k baht on cash. But really unless you push it then you'll be ok. A lot of people complain, but it's a part of a developing country. Personally I'd rather jump through the hoops to live in Thailand than go to Vietnam.
Krung Thon Buri – anybody spend any time here? Nice area or too far out for the chicks?
