Why To Come To Argentina

The only reason to come here is to challenge yourself with really hot women. Frankly, the city has almost nothing to do as a tourist. However, it is a great base to make side trips to the rest of the country. Argentina is beautiful once you get outside Buenos Aires. Iguazu, Salta, Mendoza, and a bunch of spots in Patagonia are options and I wouldn’t visit Argentina unless your intention is to go to those places.

Where To Live

Palermo Viejo or Hollywood in my opinion. Though if street game is your thing. I would live in Recoleta. It’s fairly quiet during the day around here.

Safety

I don’t think twice about it and I have take the bus home a few times very late. I have walked home very late as well. Be more careful downtown or in San Telmo.

Get Around The City

https://www.sube.gob.ar/CentrosSUBE.aspx?solapa=1

Buy a SUBE card. Cost is $25 pesos. Subway is cheap (4.50 pesos), as are buses.(Depends, slightly less) Learn some important routes as the trains stop at 10 or 11 I believe. However, I think they start at 5 if you’re partying until 5 in the mourning. A taxi from center to Palermo is about $100 pesos.

Election weekend

Note to travellers: Bars are closed Saturday of Election weekend. Great day to invite girls right over to your house.

How to Exchange Money

Current elections may make this part of the datasheet entirely mute. PM me for any specific information if you want to exchange a large amount. I am reluctant to give out numbers. Go to Florida Street, if you want exchange small amounts. Watch out for counterfeits. However, I have yet to hear a story of someone getting robbed. My best advice is to just keep asking locals where they exchange money.

Keep exchanging in smaller amounts and bring $100 bills for the best rate. Don’t hold pesos. It isn’t very easy to exchange pesos once you get back to the US.

The exchange rate is provided in the local paper . DO NOT accept anything less then .50 off the rate. ($1.00 or more for smaller bills).

Other than rent, prices here will be higher than second tier us cities if you’re not exchanging cash.

Argentinian Girls

http://www.rooshv.com/argentine-girls-final-thoughts

Everything that Roosh has wrote still holds true today. I would add a few things.

Re-read #8. Its why ONS are not common. Good story: This one bar charged a cover of $40 pesos which included a drink. This was LESS than the lowest cost drink at the bar. So basically don’t get shitfaced unless your going to EL ALAMO.

I would also say sometimes kissing doesn't mean shit either especially at a club. The reason girls turn there head is because Argentines can go for quick make outs at these venues all the time.

Argentine guys can be almost as hysterical and flakey as the women.

I will add this as well. To actually do well here, I think you would have to lie and say you’re here on a permanent basis. I don’t do that but I think it’s the only way you would do well here. Every American guy I met here who is here for 1 or more, are dating way up. Otherwise, prepare to approach hundreds of girls to get laid. Though usually when I find the girl who is into me, it’s super easy to game her.

Dating Apps

Tinder and Happn are popular here. Tinder has been great for me with foreign girls. Any foreign girl who has been here for some time is usually sick of hysterical men. I’ve done really well with foreign girls here and completely shit with Argies.

Note: Both are a colossal waste of time for meeting local girls.

Food

I don’t like the food here. If you love your Pizza with way too much cheese. You’ll likely love the pizza here. Palermo has some decent restaurants but otherwise there isn’t a lot of variety here.

For a parilla. My personal favorite is LA BRIGADA - Estados Unidos 478 - San Telmo.

Palermo Coffee date

I haven’t gone on one here, but there’s a good size Starbucks on Honduras 5550.

Palermo Nightlife

Note: Don’t trust any type of opening hours on the internet if you are going for a date Sunday to Tuesday.

Cocktail/Date bars.

Mezcal - Costa Rica 4512

Obviously a Mezcal bar. No one sits at the bar here. Nothing special about the place but most people have never tried Mezcal, so it’s a more unique thing to do

Victoria Brown - Costa Rica 4803

Super nice cocktail bar. The interior is pretty impressive. Drinks are really pricey. I would go here if you actually want to impress your date.

Rey de Copas - Gorriti 5176

Has lounge seating and bar seats. There are might a small group of girls to approach if you go. But I would use it for a date.

Frank’s Bar - Arevalo 1443

Speakeasy. Super fancy. Kind of away from the nightlife. Place isn’t big but was able to approach two sets of girls. Girls are way more receptive at cocktail bars here. You need a password to get in.

Bar Soria - Gorriti 5151

Hmm not sure how to describe this place. During the week it’s a sitdown place that would be good for a date. I haven’t been on the weekend but there’s a ton of open space here and I believe there will be a bunch of people standing up if you’re here on the weekend.

Kika - Honduras 5339
Rosebar - Honduras 5445

Both are right next to each other. Have been covered quite a bit on the forum. I would call this area the center of nightlife in Buenos Aires, and there are plenty of other clubs within walking distance of here.

Jager - Niceto Vega 5422

I came here my last two visits but not this one, still going to open the day before election day, hmm maybe I’ll go again to update. Girls have been more receptive here then other nightclubs, I believe it’s because it is still fairly new.

Other Nighlife

El Alamo - Uruguay 1175

Only bar in Buenos Aires where I see people get shitfaced. Also guys are aggressive as fuck. I got blown out maybe 3 or 4 times night. You can go pretty early here and there will be a bunch of people here. Cheap as well. There are other bars close by like CASA bar and SHAMROCK which are people say are good as well though I have not been myself.

Floreria Atlantico - Arroyo 872

Basement cocktail bar in Retiro, more of date spot. The two nights I’ve been here. Quality was absurd. Must be a super upper class place.

Terrazas - By the airport

Never been. People say it’s great on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Recoleta - There are bunch of bars by the cemetery as well.

Reconquista Street - Retiro

Retiro is where all the business hotels are. There are a bunch of bars on Reconquista St. There all kind of in row. I don’t know all the names. But worth a try. If you see a place called Cutty Sark, its not a bar haha.

San Telmo - This zone is better for happy hour.
Very nice post. I just finished a 3 month period in Buenos Aires. I came to Buenos Aires thinking I would challenge myself as well. Had to work during the day, and traveled most weekends, so I honestly didn't invest as much time as I needed into game which in BA is quite a lot if you want to have a decent volume of notches.

When I did invest time talking to three girls at once for example, my worked suffered. When I scaled down to one girl at a time. As soon as I thought I was about to close, she'd begin a snowflaking routine that made you think you had actually moved to Ushuaia.

My Spanish is intermediate, so I can handle day-game and phone-game just fine. However had huge problems, when trying to communicate in a boliche. Obviously the deafening loud cumbia music doesn't help. My favorite boliche is Rose Bar. Until going to Rose Bar I was quite disappointed in the rumors that Argentina has some of the most beautiful women in the world, but there I saw why the rumors existed. There was a higher level of overall attractiveness, and there was a significant concentration of stunners. From what I've gathered, on prime Friday and Saturday nights richer Argentines that live in the province of Argentina come in specifically for boliches. Boliches have ripped apart most of the American guys that I've seen attempt to pick up girls--it is a completely different world from most of the US. Yet, I was told numerous times that boliches are the place to go, make out, and pull someone to a love motel. Never worked for me.
*Tip: Rose Bar on Thursday has happy hour for workers. Where young professionals go to meet other 23-30 year old, and the music isn't going to make your ears bleed.

In regards to Tinder, I 90% agree. Waste of my time. However it is a quick way to learn how to approach Argentine girls through trial and error if you are busy. And allows you to isolate girls from the influences of their friend groups, which are all powerful. Although it still can't protect you from flakes.

I dance Tango. I highly recommend dancing Tango or learning it, if going to B.A.
If you already know how to Tango: there's a great international milonga called DNI off the corner of Bulnes and Cordoba. The crowd is young, the lessons are fantastic, and spoken in English.

If you don't know how to Tango: Tango is an icon of Buenos Aires, and most Argentines don't dance it. However it is a really great way to start talking about sex directly or through in innuendo that girls pick up one. It's something unique that you can bring to an Argentine girl, who probably doesn't know how to do her own country's dance. And most importantly tourists do it. This last point is important, because that which got me through the struggle in B.A. were the Brazilian, Swiss, Croatian, and German girls that I met at a "tourist friendly" milonga called Buenos Ayers Club. Every Monday and Wednesday night they teach beginner's tango lessons to gringos, have an orquesta tipica play live, and a tango performance. You should go for the culture experience alone, it was my favorite part of B.A.. You should also go, because if you have the balls to take a girl on a stage and tango walk around semi-professional dancers while an orchestra is playing, then the fruits of the night will amazingly go to you. I think this is largely due to an incredibly common fantasy that touristas have of learning tango with a steamy partner and then promptly having sex with said partner.

Mundo Lingo Buenos Aires is an organization that occupies three bars through any given week. It is a place for tourists, and locals to come, speak in whatever language, and drink. The most common exchange in Spanish to English, in which you speak Spanish sometime and then speak English sometimes. There are a LOT of gringo thirsty locals that speak English here, as well as cute travelling girls. I had Argentine girls admit to coming there just to find a tourist like the one conveniently in front of them. I only went once, because I found out the details about it relatively late. Although I'm fairly certain that had I gone to more events, then local slaying would've been much easier.

Gaming Argentine girls for myself ( and I sure many others) is not as easy as in other counties. In Brazil, for example, I got a new notch on my first night of going out. However B.A. isn't hopeless. Although I had some incredibly frustrating times with the girls there, I also incredibly fun times with the locals as well. Argentine girls love buena onda, or just cool vibes. So if you don't have an very high level of game, then come to Buenos Aires with something that shows you do care about the culture (not just a sex tourist in disguise Angel), keep your vibe strong--always, and try to keep some tourists in your pocket for morale.
Only disagree with one thing....no one fucking dances here...

Because of the considerable number of former Nazis having escaped to Argentina, I guess?

Its not that argentina has so many hot girls ..its that there are not many ugly ones ....pound for pound bogota has more hotties but there is about 10 times more plastic...

Girls here have plastic but its usually small fake tits
Always approach in english, I get made as a brazil guy all the time
Hehehehe, use the "foreign guy" card as much as you can, girls love to play with the "clueless tourist". And Snow tip about Mundo Lingo was good, was there with him and another guy (was Erik, right?) and the girls were quite shameless about looking for tourist guys.
Solid thread here. Will be through Buenos Aires in probably about 2-3 weeks. How is the day gaming scene there? Are there accessible university girls? I'm in Santiago now and I'm having a tough time finding where the under 23 crowd hangs out. I think it may be one of those weird transitional times when the semester is currently ending.
Im not sure either...the city university is in a wierd spot...there are some smaller unis downtown but its very crowded down there with people and wouldnt seem great for daygame but I dont know...Nothing in palermo...if I do daygame I usually just sit at a coffee shop or 45 mins and relax

I studied at one of the smaller universities downtown. Not a great place for day game. If I remember correctly, University of Buenos Aires was divided into multiple campuses, for example La Facultad de Derecho was in one place and other departments were in other places. Belgrano also has its own university.

If you plan to get in Bs As looking for univ girls in 2-3 weeks, you are gonna have a rouggh time. It will be in the middle of exams time, and later they get holydays in the secon part of december until march. As for daygame, godzilla advice is solid, look for a good coffe in a posh part of the city and wait.
Sounds like Argentina is analogous to Spain/France/Italy/etc: hot, fashionable women, but you need looks, game, and preferably resources to get in the door. In other words, there is no "cool foreigner" card to play and the girls aren't as sensual or easy as girls in other parts of LA (i.e. Colombia).

I wonder if Chile is any better? Argentines are notorious for their nationalism, Chile OTOH is off the beaten path.
Check the boards, there are some Santiago de Chile datasheets. Mostly middle to upper class criollas are worthy in Chile, the rest are mestizas, and you will find an even more conservative society there, were social circle rules.

Makes a lot of sense ....Have only been to París, which is really international. But immigration was mostly from those 3 countries you listed (with a bunch of others, mostly russian, polish, german, and turkish, according to immigration data) Remember too, the people from the 3 countries you listed are very culturally proud and so foreigners are normally a step down, which is the same here. But damn, what happend to the food here lol...I love a good steak, but the pizza doesnt come close to ItalIan pizza. Spain, france, italy are tops in world in that regard.

The culture is very italian even with the spanish lamguage. The girls in Buenos Aires most closely resemble girls ive since from Northern Italy, which itself histórically it very mixed área of europe. (very different from Italian American)

There is still a lot of Sicilian and Southern Italian influence in Argentina, but there is much more Northern Italian influence there than in places like New York and New Jersey. Chicago and Columbus, Ohio tend to have more Northern Italian influence than many other parts of the United States. And yeah, Northern Italy is pretty mixed. Tons of German, Swiss, and French influence there and Greek kamaki's statement that Italy doesn't have any Slavic influence was off base. It might be true in Sicily. Also, and I never remember reading or hearing this, but being proficient in Italian helps with Argentina girls, even if they don't speak any Italian.

Looks like I'll be having to fall back on the coffee shop game then. As a coffee addict, this is actually great news. Thanks for the advice Mekorig and godzilla. Also if anyone will be around from December 12th on, let me know.

Went to Rosebar on a Thursday and the music made my ears bleed. Couldn't have a conversation in there at all. Best opp was talking to four girls sitting outside in the patio. We moved inside to dance, and one of the girls asked me for my Instagram when I told her I was leaving. In the U.S. this means nothing, but I banged a girl in Rosario upon exchanging Instagram with her at a club (pic included).

Other than that, I agree with Snowman. He's captured my experience in Buenos Aires (and Cordoba) so far. The clubs are a waste of time. Sure the girls are hot, but there doesn't seem like a culture of meeting, isolating, making out, and pulling. I think it'd require a lot of effort, and your better off with daygame and/or Tinder, unless you are very strong at night game to begin with. The exception to "don't go to clubs in Argentina" rule would be Mendoza, and there is one club there I recommend.

How would you expect a college aged black guy to do in buenos aires/other cities in Argentina?
