I don't think it would be possible for Kaine to run as president since the ticket would be Pres: Hillary VP: Kaine.

All of the state's deadlines for having a name on a ballot have passed.

Such an event would throw the entire democratic party into complete disarray. We'd probably see the party collapse and coalesce around a different one.

Knowing the Democrats and their Republican allies, if Hillary were to drop out and as you say, Kaine is only the VP and not the POTUS candidate, would it be in their bests interests for the Supreme court and/or Obama to stop or at least slow down the voting process?

The Republicans get their way with Trump and the Dems get a better candidate in.

Who knows. There hasn't been any precedent in US history for such an event.

Quote:Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte called Barack Obama a "son of a whore" on Monday as he vowed not to be lectured by the US leader on human rights when they meet in Laos.

The acid-tongued Duterte bristled at warnings he would face questioning by the US president over a war against drugs in the Philippines that has claimed more than 2,400 lives in just over two months.

"You must be respectful. Do not just throw away questions and statements. Son of a whore, I will curse you in that forum," Duterte told a news conference shortly before flying to Laos to attend a summit.

"We will be wallowing in the mud like pigs if you do that to me."

Duterte was due to hold a bilateral meeting with Obama on Tuesday afternoon on the sidelines of a gathering of global leaders hosted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Vientiane, the Lao capital.

But shortly after Duterte spoke, Obama appeared to cast doubt on whether such a meeting could take place.

Calling Duterte "a colourful guy", the US president said was asking his staff to find out whether a meeting would be useful.

"I always want to make sure if I'm having a meeting that it's actually productive and we're getting something done," he told reporters.

Duterte, 71, was elected in May after a promise to wage an unprecedented war on illegal drugs that would see tens of thousands of suspects killed.

Official figures released Sunday show that, since he took office on June 30, over 2,400 people have been killed in police anti-drug operations and by suspected vigilantes.

Speaking on the sidelines of the G20 summit in the Chinese city of Hangzhou, Obama said Washington recognised that drugs were a significant problem for the Philippines. But he insisted that he would not shy away from raising concerns about the way the issue was being handled under the new administration.

"The issue of how we approach fighting crime and drug trafficking is a serious one for all of us. We've got to do it the right way," he said.

"Undoubtedly, if and when we have a meeting, this is something that's going to be brought up. And my expectation, my hope is that it could be dealt with constructively."

Duterte has angrily rejected criticism from the Catholic Church, human rights groups, legislators and the United Nations.

And he vowed Monday the bloodbath would continue as he pursued his goal of eradicating illegal narcotics in the Philippines.

"More people will be killed, plenty will be killed until the last pusher is out of the streets. Until the (last) drug manufacturer is killed, we will continue and I will continue," he said.

Duterte insisted he would not take orders from the United States, a former colonial ruler of the Philippines, and did not care about how he was perceived.

Duterte has quickly earned a reputation for making offensive comments about his critics, or others he does not like.

He has also branded Pope Francis and the US ambassador to Manila sons of whores.

T'would appear the New York Times is buying promotion space / influence of American Twitter trends.
NYT has only just released an article down playing Trump's activities in Detroit.
At the time of writing, there's at most ~200 tweets in relation to the article.
Yet according to Twitter - 'Donald Trump Does Detroit' just started 'trending'...

This after the 'Hillary Clinton Gets Gored' NYT article started trending with only ~250 retweets / comments...

The idea that a genuine maverick leader could emerge out of Davao to challenge the establishment and the USA seems unlikely to me.

The Philippines are the only Catholic nation in Asia, and one of the most devout in the world. So when a leader emerges and starts attacking it, that causes me to pause. There might be some social engineering here.

He didn't come out of nowhere though. He has a 30 year track record as mayor. He's always been like this, which is the whole reason his constituency held massive rallies all over the country and shaved their heads on social media to convince him to run for president.

I'm curious what percentage of forum content is dedicated to Trump vs. everything else.

What I'm getting at, is years into the future, scholars and historians will reference RVF as a benchmark for political discussion regarding Trump, and oh by the way they talked a little bit about girls and travel and self improvement too.

By "coming out of nowhere", I meant rising to the top organically without being vetted by the establishment, as opposed to the speed at which he took power.

RE: The Donald Trump thread
I live on a major college campus in the heart of a super-liberal city, and I've been wearing my Trump For President tank top on my walks through campus to the gym at least twice a week since school started back up (doesn't exactly help my day game, but fuck it, MAGA).

I've been amazed by the number of guys (not a single girl, of course) who have come up to me on my walks and thanked me for wearing my gear; easily a dozen in the last two weeks. They all tend to express the same sentiment, though: they're worried about Trump's chances; what about the latest poll numbers; did you see what CNN said about him this morning; etc.

It's gotten to the point where I actually keep a few business cards in my wallet with the names of some major alt-right news sources written on the back, like The Conservative Treehouse, VDare, Drudge, etc. I tell the guy don't worry, the MSM is pure propaganda, just check out a few of these sites and hold onto your hat, because you have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes.

One of them shot me an email this morning, thanking me again for talking with him and for introducing him to the alt-right. He said he had spent the entire weekend at home exploring our little corner of the blogosphere, setting up an RSS feed to aggregate sites, and telling his fellow closeted Trump-supporting friends to cut their cable and start reading the REAL news.

Oh yeah, he says at the end of his email, I've also been reading this really interesting blog someone linked to in the comments...it was fascinating enough that I bought the author's book, it's called The Rational Male. The guy keeps talking about this thing called the red pill, have you heard of it?

So this is how I feel right now:

Just like The Grinch, that warms my cold dead heart. You're doing good word. Keep it up, man. Thank you!

I'd love to wear Trump gear, but it would probably get me labeled a racist and get my ass beat, as I'm currently in a mostly non-white area.
Almost every person I talk politics with here rattles off with "Trump is racist!". I've actually been able to educate men on it and maybe change some minds... women refuse to listen to logic or reality.

I wonder if they will let her sit down during the debates. I don't think she could make it through. Also a decent chance she short circuits on stage if there are actually 3 debates.

The debates are happening for sure. Don't worry about that, the networks stand to make millions and millions, they won't let her bow out that easily.

Here's what I expect;

1) The media are a bunch of arrogant fools, because they are stupid and have zero short term memory like most of their audience they'll probably do the same thing they did last time and beat up on Trump and throw Hillary soft ball questions. The bias will be obvious - Win Trump

2) Hillary will get the questions prior to the debate, Trump will not. This will not help Hillary because she's too scripted and unprepared for Trump's wildcard comments, thus lulling her into false confidence - Win Trump

3) They will stack the house with Pro Hillary shills - This will be obvious to everyone at home watching the debates (the same as last time) - Win Trump

4) Trump has the high ground with his wit, positions, and persona.

I think we will see Fat Albert finally use his injection pen.

Has Trump actually agreed to do that "Commander in Chief Forum" where they are separated and take questions individually?
He can refuse that since it's not really a debate, right? Or can he negotiate to have them change it so they are fielded together in the same room?

If he chooses not to do it, would it hurt him at all?

The debates will have moderators constantly interfering, acting as zealous referees to cut off any momentum Trump gains. They will repeatedly cut him off when he starts destroying her.

You think the cable companies are going to let him tear into her? The moderators will cut short all his answers. That's the only strategy Hillary's camp will have.

Anything in which voters see sickly Hillary and energetic Donald back to back is positive. Hillary is basically in hiding right now, whereas Donald is 40 years older than me and somehow more energetic.

At this point, when I check rvf, it is roughly 95% of the time the Trump and Hillary threads, then the other 5% of the time, I'll read and sometimes reply to game and everything else threads.

After the election in November, it will shift back to normal(just checking and replying to game and everything else).

pro-Clinton twitter is going hard on this one story which hasn't really broken out wide yet, but very well could this week especially if/when Hillary goes hard on it. Worth it to everyone to be brought up to speed on it.

Quote:Donald Trump paid the IRS a $2,500 penalty this year, an official at Trump's company said, after it was revealed that Trump's charitable foundation had violated tax laws by giving a political contribution to a campaign group connected to Florida's attorney general.

The improper donation, a $25,000 gift from the Donald J. Trump Foundation, was made in 2013. At the time, Attorney General Pam Bondi was considering whether to investigate fraud allegations against Trump University. She decided not to pursue the case.

Earlier this year, The Washington Post and a liberal watchdog group raised new questions about the three-year-old gift. The watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, filed a complaint with the IRS — noting that, as a registered nonprofit, the Trump Foundation was not allowed to make political donations.

The Post reported another error, which had the effect of obscuring the political gift from the IRS.

In that year's tax filings, The Post reported, the Trump Foundation did not notify the IRS of this political donation. Instead, Trump's foundation listed a donation — also for $25,000 — to a Kansas charity with a name similar to that of Bondi's political group. In fact, Trump's foundation had not given the Kansas group any money.

The prohibited gift was, in effect, replaced with an innocent-sounding but nonexistent donation.

Trump's business said it was unaware of any of these mistakes until March, when it heard from the watchdog group and The Post.

On Thursday, Jeffrey McConney — senior vice president and controller at the Trump Organization — said that after being notified, Trump filed paperwork informing the IRS of the political gift and paid an excise tax equal to 10 percent of its value.

McConney said that Trump had also personally reimbursed the Trump Foundation for $25,000, covering the full value of the improper gift. McConney blamed a series of mistakes, all of them unintentional. McConney said there had been no attempt to deceive.

"It was just an honest mistake," McConney said. He added: "It wasn’t done intentionally to hide a political donation, it was just an error."

McConney said that he believed Trump had now done everything necessary to rectify the error. "We’ve done what [we] were instructed to do," he said.

The rest of the article talks shit about his foundation, how there's very little money or work done with it, how it's used on his friends or organizations that employ his services, etc. Drawing the implied comparison between Trump's foundation (run by a billionaire) doing little vs. the Clinton foundation (run by 2 average joe politicians) drawing huge contributions and making real substantive donations around the world. Yeah, right.

It is funny how this originated in March which got no press back then, and now it's coming up again and the press still isn't touching it even though it's an easy way to hit at Trump? I'd feel better if there was a happening tomorrow to drive the media narrative at the start of the workweek so this story doesn't take hold.

Just saw this in Mike Cernovich's twitter feed. Way to get it up on here quickly!

With the mounting evidence for Hillary's health, the conformation bias will be much bigger this time than the previous coughing fits. With each health event, the #SickHillary argument will get exponentially stronger and stronger. As the stress of the campaign continues to escalate and as her health issues continue to worsen, there will be even greater chances these hiccups will continue for her. She HAS to campaign now because Trump has all the momentum and has more than closed the gap (leading or tied now at worst), but campaigning in the open also opens her up to people seeing her poor health when campaigning. She can either not campaign, or add to the poor health confirmation bias. Trump's hard work over the past month forced her hand sooner than I think her campaign was expecting.

I looked at the periscope (never heard of that Millie Weaver - pretty hot and nice tits! - but there was even worse chocking and coughing that occurred prior to the video I posted.
