In the coming years we can expect a significant in eco-taxes on airlines. France already introduced such a tax: https://www.euronews.com/2019/07/09/fran...-of-france
Other countries will follow and the EU will probably impose a union-wide tax system, in order to discourage people from flying.

The whole eco stuff is basically how they fund the ever increasing welfare class made up largely of muslim invaders with minimal upside aside for the white tax payer aside from feeling productive and having a slightly better protection from the violent underclass that they fund with their own taxes.

It's already communism light in Europe as jobs below top 10% incomes don't buy anything but trinkets really in the big cities while millennials live in dorm like conditions or at best a studio apartment.

Meanwhile turd world people trash up the oceans and their own countries with reckless abandon and if you ever traveled there you realize how much of a drop in the bucket the tiny bit of pollution that the civilized world produces is.

Gas prices are crazy high due to taxes already in most western European countries to discourage driving and force people to share public transport with rapefugees and the bottom rung of society who get to use it for free.

Meat is discouraged by globohomo (McDonalds now has vegan burgers) and we will probably see some ethical ban on non free range meat sooner or later which makes meat prices shoot through the roof (true free range meat is prohibitively expensive). Halal requirements are also a lot more higher and make meat more expensive although not exponentially so.

Ever increasing carbon taxes will milk any companies dry from profits.

You are forced to be extremely PC / submit to women to maintain a job that can pay for a shoebox that isn't in a housing project etc.

The only #winning country will be Israel and the only #winning people in Europe the muslim underclass.

When the boomers die off it will be interesting times indeed...

Spot on renting a house in Australia from a guy who doesn't speak English but somehow owns 6 million worth of our own houses.

I hope I am alive to see the reckoning of the immigration/invaders as at the moment it's simply a slow genocide, every year conditions get worse, every year I am more a stranger in my own country.

Terrorism is going to become pretty wild spread imo instances like Brendon Tarrant where people silenced by the political correct world with no party to vote for and nowhere to turn turn to extreme measures.

Maybe so but what are the costs?
Are you on retirement visa or the more expensive marriage version?

What are equivalent housing costs compared to back in the west?

LOS is fine for those who can afford to live on retirement welfare, but what about everybody else?

Thais don't really want you in Thailand. They don't care that you can take care of yourself and aren't a burden on locals. You are an outsider from an alien culture that doesn't mix with thai culture and you up the beta bucks requirements for local guys who now have to compete with you. Their solution is shunning westerners and any girl that associates with westerners, much like whites in western Europe want nothing to do with muslims or women that get involved with them.

The elites are pushing hard to make compliance for long term foreign residents to visa rules ever harder so only short term tourists remain and western ones will probably drop off a cliff as well due to really bad exchange rates (THB dropped from 40 to 33 to the EUR) and generally increasing costs. (first world costs in a 3rd world country)

If you want to run anywhere you should go to Russia or the Ukraine and become fluent asap, make lots of connections and dress like locals.

Future wars will be covert civil wars as technological progress and 1% domination of the economy impoverish most of the population in all countries.

Expect random violence based on race and class - pretty much like in South Africa right now.

Are you writing this based on recent experience?
How long did you live in Thailand and in which part?

I have to say that I think you are over-exaggerating, but I could be wrong depending on where you lived and the circles that you mixed in.

RE: Is the age of mass commercial tourism coming to an end?
Only a few months ago jet fuel went up in price because oil hit 60-ish bucks a barrel
Airline apologized for higher ticket prices
I cried paying the charge

Oil consumption has now hit 100 million barrels a day
It was 90 million a day about a year or so ago
The low price of a barrel is fake and political
When oil goes back too 90-ish bucks a barrel....flying and tourism will not be so cheap

Countries are putting taxes on Airbnb stays and going through the airport tax and lastly exchange rates on buying cheap currencies won't be so cheap as economic situations improve with crap countries

Entire western world has maxed out credit cards so this will mean fewer hipster/student/waitress tourist types

I give 5 years for the crash in the airline business from fuel prices....and the return of the rich business traveler on expensive flights (tax write off)

............LIFE isn't a DRESS REHEARSAL.........

That didn't happen. Airlines hedge themselves by buying futures contracts on fuel prices.
