RE: Major forum changes (September 2019)
Roosh, your attempt at figuring out how to ethically deal with women in this time is commendable, but being blunt, time is running out. There's a finite date for everyone. There would be huge value, in an honest, non big baller approach to the compromises that older men will have to make, if they want a family.

Let's say a crash course, but not in gaming, but in mate value maxxing. Unless of course everyone here still believes that abstract conceptions of game will overcome a 20 year age difference and a norwood 4. Maybe some people still believe that, I don't know.

Topics:

Wealth - how to achieve it within 5 years
Fame - how to gain non-notorious fame for everyone
Health - it's about staying slim, not being muscular as you age
Society - finding positions of local or limited authority and respect

Those are the kind of things a man approaching middle age, needs to deal with and figure out fast. Much more than classic "game".

Personally, I'll probably semi-retire to the tropics if the above doesn't succeed. Then again, I've also joined politics and gotten a public position, in order to ship the ethnics home, so maybe I'll just keep on doing that.

Who said doing that sort of work and gaining that knowledge is for me?

RE: Major forum changes (September 2019)
There is a generational aspect to this whole thing that is hard to quantify. People move forward in life and in a group setting it doesn't lend itself well to perpetually covering the same info over and over and over again.

Moreover guys that want Roosh to leave the door open for what he perceives to be hedonism don't really understand what being a responsible leader is. Am I going to teach my eldest son how to waste ten years getting drunk and fucking sluts? No way. And if he says "but you did it" I'm going to tell him I made a mistake and I'm not going to teach him how best to repeat that mistake.

This is why guys saying "but I'm just entering this phase of my life" don't get it. Whether you agree with him or not, Roosh is not interested in helping you walk a road he perceives to be in error.

Then you have guys who think for some reason that Roosh owes them a roadmap to "success with women". What planet are you living on? But for a series of circumstances this forum would never exist. What would you do then? You should be grateful that the game archive is still intact. I don't doubt Roosh is sorely tempted to wall it off but has chosen not to, perhaps because he knows people are mostly too lazy to go looking for that info anyway, so the harm it can do is mostly limited.

And if you don't understand what I mean by that last sentence then that's probably why you don't understand what Roosh is doing here. We are lucky to still have the forum at all.

Complaints about "how will I get a wife and keep her if I don't learn how to manipulate women first" are hollow. If what you want is a wife then go to church and stop listening to peurile horror stories from men with Peter Pan syndrome that aren't supported by the statistics.

God demands of Man responsibility. God demands of Woman vulnerability. These are their curse and blessing alike. Libertianism is to Man as Feminism is to Woman.

Odd. I still seem to be able to log in. For you, STW might be more your speed these days.

On another note I hope travel and meetups stay strong for the guys who are into that stuff. I can understand blending them in with other sub-forums due to lack of activity to an extent but for the people interested in that stuff I'm sure it was nice to be able to simply click on the subforum and get a finger on the pulse of what was going on in those fields instantly rather than having to sift through a bunch of unrelated stuff to make sure they weren't missing opportunities to meet up with other members. Sometimes less is more.

i know Sad
It was one of my 5 'go too' sites for ages when i'd log into my computer! Will be missed.
What other 'game' sites are people using? They seem to have mainly all been taken down (RSD, nextasf, puaforums, and a handful of others). I've felt a shift/lack of belief in 'game' for a year or so in teh community, and maybe that explains it's apparent demise? People seem to have reached a consensus that 'game' is of limited use when it comes to hooking up and she basically makes up her mind the second she lays eyes on you (in fact, even roosh hinted at this on one of his articles)

Confusing having this site just change though. Like, wouldn't he be better off deleting this site and just starting a new one with God/religion in the title or something? Bit like belonging too a stock trading forum, and they keep the site address and some old links, but now the forum is about gardening!! haha

Seems a but odd and 'mixed' still having links to archives about 'game' on a forum about God and religion, but it is what it is (i'm not religious and so probably my last post here, but it's been fun. Need to find a new home for my journal now! Smile)

peace

I never bought into those expensive bootcamps advertising "snatch that random hot babe with your PUA magic powers". For me game was always about seeing through female behavior and not making a fool of oneself as a man when a girl tries to get what she wants in her typical indirect ways.

How many moralistic warnings did myself, Roosh, or any other forum member ignore in their younger years? By comparison, the 90s and even early 2000s were a far more conservative time, with moralistic voices not yet being blindly shouted down as "homophobic". There was almost certainly MORE mainstream access and acceptance to morally sound communities and voices 20 years ago than there are today. I respect Roosh or anyone else NOT wanting to be an accomplice to teaching depravity, but I also don't think rote moral teachings and simply saying "don't do this", is ever going to resonate with the majority of young men. By the time you are in your teens, most kids view their parents as out of touch with their modern lives, and could really care less about the advice any adult gives them. If Roosh doesn't want to host it, that's understandable, but I think young men need a dialogue and a place to experiment with ideas, even if they aren't necessarily "correct" in our eyes. I think steering and tutoring young men, while they make these mistakes for themselves, is a more effective approach than promoting moralistic red lines and even censoring non-moral thought. Boomers began to leave religion because the rote teachings lost all meaning to their modern lives, self discipline, sacrifice, and purity all became seemingly meaningless rituals in their eyes. People in general just don't want to be lectured, they want to learn by trial and error and understand the how and why behind things you are saying.

From a closed thread, actually fitting better here:

Steve McQueen Wrote:Roosh, drunk as l am right now l wanted to let you know that your experiences through life and the lessons derived from same gave me a chance to meet the woman who would change my life forever. I will be getting married in July of next year and that's thanks in large part to this site which told me to never give up on myself despite being an older guy and showed me the truth where it comes to women plus how to go into the dating game to meet / vet a girl to consider for marriage. Thank you for your insights, l really miss the roosh hour and l hope some day you come back to your brothers who love you and want the old roosh back. Now delete my account so all these religious bitches can go and do what they always do, pretend like they are your friend and tell you what you want to hear. This religious nonsense is bullshit, [transgressing stuff cut]

Oldest rule of the Internet: Never drink and post.

And now the White Pill: It wasn't you nor Roosh, who reformed you and did match you with your wife, it was God. Once you turned away from evil He put His plan for you into action and that is why you're going to have a family now instead of going on a hedonistic rampage.

On thing nihilists/materialists in their pride never realize is that God in His endless grace works in their lives, too. They like to tag their achievements to themselves and worship idols or celebrities. They are always aggravated about them changing, regardless if it's a musician, an actor or a game expert.

There is a lot of good stuff in the travel section of this board, and it's about a whole lot more than getting laid in foreign countries. It is also about building a great life in other countries. I am quite disappointed to see that it has now been archived. I am grateful that it is still here.

RE: Major forum changes (September 2019)
While I respectfully disagree with Roosh's stated morality for making these changes, I understand why he is making them. Even for those of us who disagree, there are still plenty of reasons to stick around, aside from the new game goal of finding a wife.

My thoughts on why I'm glad that this forum is evolving and what direction I would like to see here:

1. The old school game and PUA culture seems to have run its course. Many destinations in e.g. Eastern Europe now have a lot of guys flooding the scene. From what I read on on this forum, even NYC isn't what it used to be -- I certainly was not impressed during my time there. If we continue the discussion, we are just contributing to the further decline of these places. Roosh has probably realized that his earlier writings contributed to this decline. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a major part of what led him to make these sweeping changes.

2. A lot of the traditional views in game and PUA culture have a perspective toward life in general that overly simplistic or flat out naive. For example, "Bang" had the idea of opening women as you go about your day, which is sound on paper, but what happens when you're working a high-stress professional job that pays the bills? Do you really have the proper mindset to game effectively when you're on the way to work each morning? Chasing women takes a lot of time and energy, and that can also detract from building your career. Even Paul Janka admitted that he did well in NYC because he quit his Wall Street job to become a tutor and thus had the flexibility. I wish more players who wrote about what they do to be successful were more self-aware of how their lifestyle made it possible, and how their recipe for success doesn't necessarily work for other men who have less free time on their hands.

3. The obsession with game and women can blind you to figuring out things in the rest of your life. When I visited Japan, I joined one of the local PUA chats. One day, I saw a Japanese woman with tattoos who was with her husband (dressed in business casual) and kids. I thought that was strange because in Japan, tattoos are the mark of criminals, and yet this woman was able to land a decent man and have a family. I asked the chat about this, and they said "hey don't judge by appearances, some of the most proper-looking J-girls are some of the best in bed." That was a major facepalm moment for me, because it showed that this group was culturally incapable of thinking beyond getting laid and into developing a deeper understanding of the culture they were in. I hope people on this forum don't fall into that trap.

4. I hope the forum also doesn't swing the pendulum too far in the other direction. You can have your moral convictions but don't become dogmatic about it. Otherwise your kids are going to rebel against you, like has happened over past generations. sanbruno touched on that in his upthread post. I've also long noted that even the most conservative parents have made the same mistakes of telling their sons to abide by the rules of modern society and their daughters to pursue college and careers. They're the ones who failed to stand up to the societal degeneracy despite their professed values, so in the end, what good were those values? I hope the traditionalists here will learn from them and avoid those same mistakes.

5. Similarly to #3, I hope that the hard-core family men here be have more self-awareness of aspects of their own situation that suited them but don't necessarily apply to other men. In this thread from last year, I had a back and forth with doc holliday about men getting married and having a family early. I pointed out that I didn't see how some of the benefits and skills he mentioned applied to my own life. I mean to devalue the experiences of doc, LDN, etc. I just hope that there can be more honest dialogue between the two camps that lead to deeper understanding, rather than each side simply being dogmatic about their own position.

What a man can be, he must be. --Abraham Maslow

Why did the Fitness forum (or sub-forum, more recently) get binned? It wasn't the most active but it I always thought it was useful having all the fitness threads in one place. There were some great posts there.

Thank you Roosh for these changes! As a long term member and Catholic striving for holiness, the game forum has always been a source for temptation for me, and while it had good info, the nsfw threads were problematic. I appreciate it moving to relationships and being more helpful in keeping and attracting wives.

Looking forward to the future of the forum!

Given that we have a new set of designations, can I be classified as:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_crested_caracara

A truly awesome bird, I've seen one make a vertical landing and once had another follow me to work which, when I stopped to observe it, froze in mid air directly above me. When I say froze, I mean it; it wasn't hovering, as hawks do and literally didn't move a muscle. Presumably, it was riding air currents, but it looked amazing, all the same.

Sounds much better than being a woodpecker.

Roosh I have been reading your work since high school and while I don't necessarily agree with everything, I can respect why you are doing this. I hope you find what you are looking for, and while you may feel guilty for this path of hedonism, you may have also helped save lots of people endless suffering. I probably would have married my high school sweetheart if not for you and other red pill thought leaders.
