Myself and a few forum members are in Serbia, have been for a few months.

Roosh mentioned on his 7 Things I Learned About Serbian Women post that they are Schizophrenic towards intimacy. One minute, you have the most passionate woman ever, the next, she's ice cold and wants to leave.

This is true. I have experienced this time and time again despite doing quite well in most other places. So have my friends. All in all, this is a challenging place in many ways.

While we've all had some success in the dating realm, it is certainly not quite what I expected as relationships are (unfortunately) oftentimes short lived, flighty, and just kind of unstable and weird.

Events include girlfriends who you share a physical bond with suddenly deciding to leave your apartment before a romantic encounter occurs, girls being extremely reluctant to go on dates after meeting in real life, and apps like Tinder yielding very low numbers of responsive women. While Tinder is certainly a crappy place to look, I think that the low response rates say something about Serbian culture.

Alternatively, I've found that girls who once displayed extremely high interest upon meeting never follow through with wanting to actually set up a date.

This is in stark contrast to Ukraine, where a girl will never show interest at first (usually), but you can often times loosen her up a bit on a date, and you'll realize she's wanted to be with you all along. Additionally, Ukraine differs in that after a girl has decided to have a physical relationship with you, she is now stuck on you like glue and considers that you're dating. In Serbia, it could not be more different. Intimate contact may occur earlier on, but will almost never turn into something serious, almost as if by choice of the woman herself.

I can't say I've done poorly here, however it is a huge headache and I find Serbian women to be disengaging, flighty and really quite schizophrenic. I can't imagine finding a girlfriend here amongst all these headaches.

I often refrain from asking questions like this and letting my experiences sort it out, but this one is beyond frustrating and has me stumped. Why are Serbian women so bipolar when it comes to dating?

This seems to be an accepted fact amongst the expat community, and even the locals as well.

The solution I was proposed by my friend, who I often call the Serbian chad, was to play games back. He proposed inviting a girl over, and making no advances whatsoever, letting the hampster spin about why you're not trying. This is contradictory to the generally dominant, aggressive frame I usually have when in private with girls, where I'm unapologetic about wanting to be close to them.

That's not a solution that I am keen on trying. In some ways, I prefer the Ukrainian model where you have to go on 5+ dates with a girl before you end up getting anywhere. At least, at that point, you know a relationship is on the horizon and your efforts won't be wasted because she's decided to no longer participate. Weird.

Any feedback from experienced Serb travelers?

Lol thats Serbian girls I was there for 13 days not long ago, so not much experience. And you have been there for months? I guess you know them better than me. I already learned from day 1 serbian girls flake hard. Its nothing to take personally. So numbers game matters, If u set a date with 1 have 1-2 more in backhand. If you are not able to do that then I get your frustration. I always made sure to have backups, just in case and it worked everytime.

The girls there look intimidatingly good btw, I live in Norway and these girls give the scandinavians run for the money eaasyli. I rank serbian girl higher in looks.

Some of the gitls who flaked messages me daily, Wants me to come back. Ill have them as backups this time lol, and focus on the ones i already got.

I lived in Novi Sad, Serbia for about a month back in late 2017. I had similar experience. Serbian girls are receptive and friendly upon meeting and are seemingly excited to meet you...but I found getting an actual date was hard as balls to pull through. Social circle was what saved my butt while I was there.

It seems that you're running into the girls' in-group preference. Serbia is famously nationalistic and ethnocentric. They are attracted, but realise that they'll face a lot of shaming and social pressure if they continue to see you. That creates conflict.

You do have a point. I went on a date and the chick told me «If a girl dates exessively she will be looked down upon like a whore» Either way I still had better results down there than in my hometown.

The only thing saving you there will be massive clout or social circle. Met alot of turks there (they dont need visa to visit) and Italian gamers and they all struggled big time. The Africans/cubans however cleaned up every corner, mainly club settings but in cafes in broad daylight too.

In a certain sense, this is a classic rvf discussion. The girls are as good as they are precisely because they have good background genetics and are ethnocentric and nationalistic, as mentioned above. That equals difficulty if you are an outsider and let's face it, until now, the forum has been a place where overall quality wasn't the goal, but rather shorter term things with acceptable quality. Like everywhere else, if you don't have niche --- social, religious, family --- or all of the above, it becomes as hard a place as any. Especially given the fact that they don't have below average men who die early.

That's a fair point.

I'm at the point in my life where I'm over dealing with anything under a 7, and not I'd be hard pressed to LTR a 7 too.

Here's the thing...

Having the niche qualities you've mentioned above just isn't as important in other place.

Ukraine, Poland, even off the beaten path places like the Caucauses, it's entirely possible just to pair up with one girl and the two of you go off and do your thing.

It's why most decent guys who have their shit together end up with LTRs in Ukraine and not spinning plates.

I think in those places, most girls are just happy to meet a good man. Here, that's obviously a priority, but what qualifies as a "quality" man to them is definitely tougher.

Even still, I will not let myself or other people use this as an excuse to say "Oh well it sucks there," because it 100% does not at all, there's just a different marketplace that you have to learn the rules to and navigate accordingly.

The other thing is that quality of life in Serbia is really quite high for a foreigner. It's over 65 degrees today in October, clear skies, delicious food, high English levels and honestly, most people are friendly. Apartments are cheap. The visa rules are extremely lax. It's honestly easy to live here.

Compare that with Ukraine (or most other FSU countries) where the weather is terrible 4 months of the year, dealing with people is generally a shitty experience and English levels are low, apartments can cost more (Kyiv prices are insane right now and Belgrade is one of the cheapest), food is substandard, and visa rules are 90 in/180 out.

Serbia has some CLEAR advantages over anywhere else I've been.

These are all rare qualities that must not be ignored because the girls have a different way of navigating their romantic life.

In fact, I was previously close to saying this is the perfect country for an expat single man, but this is one little thing that's standing in the way of that.

Though what I will say...is that the guys I know here who are long term "player types" are mostly spending time with 6's and below. Not my cup of tea.

Great post. Yes, their men are many levels above Ukraine, and along with that (as you state) the surroundings are better. They have loftier goals or desires that are far more attainable. Arlo, I'm with you, I hear Serbia calling

True re: the men and the economic state.

Though it's priced similarly to Ukraine (and even cheaper in some ways), poverty isn't as pronounced here.

And...plenty of guys here in Serbia who are good looking, like to lift, and generally cool. Genetically they're above Ukrainians by miles.

I ever had a Ukrainian girl visit me here who told me how she was surprised at how much more attractive the guys are here than there.

Economic state in Serbia is better than Ukraine? minimum wage is 300 USD, you can say all people you see in hospitality and retail earn that much, that is not much to survive on your own

Why is it that Ukranine men are no as good looking as Serbs but there is no such a gap between Serb vs Ukrainian women(some will say they are even hotter)?

But keep in minf Serbian women especially in Belgrade wear lot of makeup from early age, 14yo girl can look 20 with paint on

Also guys there are jealous af, girls are scared of what will people say if she start screwing with foreigners, its not like she cant get even better local dick if thats all she is after

Haha great comments here so far. It's true. When I came to Serbia for first time me and my Serb buddy had a CS meet-up with two cute Polish girls. They commented on how yes, Serbian women are beautiful, but that there are even more handsome Serb men than women. For me, Serb women edges out over even Ukrainians.

What I came to find out about guys who goes to EE is that most of them are guys who are 6s physically (they may have other redeeming features that makes them have a higher SMV overall...i.e. nice bank roll, good game) but are having trouble getting decently put together white 6s and 7s in their own country. Unfortunately, being a guy who is physically a 6 isn't good enough to do well in Serbia. You can get away with being physically a 6 in places like Poland and Ukraine assuming you got other areas of yourself sorted out...that's one of the reasons why these two countries are the most popular in EE.

I had the exact same experience with a Serbian girl in the states. There's many of them in my town for the summer working at restaurants. Went out, had a few drinks, messed around a bit on the beach and she went completely cold on me.

This is a hugely valuable point that is not talked about enough.

You 100% have to have your shit on point here, in my opinion. It's possible to punch above your weight in Ukraine and Poland, but I'd say no here. I'd tell any guy who's seriously planning to come to Serbia to not only plan a longer stay, but also to make sure you're on point physically/fashion wise/etc.

Obviously being able to speak the language and integrate in the culture is going to be clutch as well, but pure SMV is going to skyrocket your chances anywhere.

I'm definitely a hard 7, maybe a soft 8 contextually. Mid 20's. Can bench 275, deadlift 405. 185 pounds, 13% BF. I'll be an 8 within 2 years. Probably a 9 by 30 once I have more money. Have been told by a few pros that my game is equal to that of 80% of instructors out there. Notch count near 60. Girls and guys regularly tell me I'm good looking.

To be fair, I frequently reject quite a lot of girls who are 6's and below, and yet I still bitch I can't pull a new 8 every week. We're never content in this game.

I'm averaging at about one new encounter with a girl a month, albeit with frequent flaking, remarkably low rejection in person, and the aforementioned bipolar behavior with girls. Like I said, it's certainly not "bad" here, it's just more challenging than in other sexual marketplaces I've visited.

If you still have to make some improvements SMV wise, I can see it being a seriously difficult uphill battle for you.

Meanwhile, I know some basic ass dudes (6's) hanging out with 8's and 9's in Ukraine. That's not the overwhelming norm, but it definitely happens more often there than here.

Are Serbian women or Ukrainian girls hotter? That's a good question. The hottest Serbian women are half Mediterranean looking with the same meticulous self-care habits, long hair, and fashion of Ukrainian women.

It's a matter of skin one and traditionality. I don't know a single Serbian guy who proudly boasts how his girlfriend cooks for him, whereas that's the norm in Ukraine.

At the end of the day, I'm still having a pretty good time. Just some tweaks that need made.

It has been well established that most of the women there (save some small gold digging minority) don't care as much about money or being particularly muscular (ex-military meatheads are looked down on in general), but you are bringing up your bench stats and the prospect of getting richer which makes no rational sense as a boost from a 7 to a 9 in Serbia. Belgrade has small town vibes for a big city, so it can be tempting to extrapolate polite conversations and number exchanges as much more than the amicable gestures that they are. It sounds like you didn't read the other threads about Serbia or need to reread them because none of what you are mentioning is out of the ordinary.

Transient foreigners have been hunting there for well over a decade as the splavs have long been a hot nightlife tourist attraction for thirsty bachelors. As others have said, you have to integrate there to be accepted as more than an amusing foreign pet. It is not so much that it is very hard to get invitations from social circles there as it is putting up with the logistics, namely the massive cloud of cigarette smoke that comes with it, even more so when nightlife moves indoors and becomes a big hotbox. While Serbians will accommodate English when talking directly to you, the group is going to speak Serbian so there is also the frustration of always being the fly on the wall.

The smoke and language barrier both seem pretty tolerable in the short run when you still have the "new city buzz," but it gets really old fast in the medium to long term. Aside from the general nuisance of irritated eyeballs and smelly clothes, being around heavy smokers is also long term a non-negligible increase in lung cancer risk. I have also heard from locals that smog has become a major issue in recent years during the colder months. Maybe some people who were there last winter can confirm or deny, but if chain smoking Serbian friends are complaining about air quality I suspect it must be pretty damn bad.

You have to realize that competition is fierce, that girl you want is wanted by dozens of other local guys who hit on her via SM or through social circles, these guys have tough time getting girlfriends let alone casual sex with young hot women.
Dating sites are not that that popular and I imagine M:F ratios are on par with dating sites in Turkey.
Serbian women know their value on the market , from young age they get addicted to TV soaps, reality shows, social media, coffee, smoking and makeup, they are not pleasant to be with and that's why I think its advantage not to speak local language and talk in English.
It all comes down how much you value your time and ROI, If you want casual fun there are much better places out there.
As for long term, I can say that in its raw natural form Anglo/Germanic and and Slavic blood don't mix well at all, explains you hardly see these type of relationships succeed. Western men are too naive while Slavic women are smart and ready to exploit any weakness.

Look, at the end of the day, the only real solution one is going to run into here is just to double down on their efforts and keep going, or bitch out and say it's too hard. You either get in the cold shower and take it or you pussy out and turn it back on warm.

But yes, you definitely need to work harder in Serbia than in other places in EE. This is a well-established fact and I hope other guys see this prior to deciding to go.

One sleeper benefit is that you deal with a lot of tourists who come here, who are a great demographic to get into. I've met girls from all over the world in Belgrade using online. People from all over the world come here.

Even still...online game is pretty bad for locals. Flaking is extremely prevalent even after meeting irl. Social circle game would be a gigantic help. Serbian guys are great to hang out with and everyone is extremely friendly. Nightlife is good. A real, real mixed bag of a place.

I try not to focus on the difficult aspects of a place or else it kind of harms the experience a bit.

I will say that quality of life in Serbia is probably the highest in all of Eastern Europe and every day I'm almost more impressed than the prior in terms of all aspects minus gaming.

Oh well, onward and upward!
