Information New anti-blasphemy rule (effective November 1)
Effective November 1, the following rule will be implemented:

Quote:3. Do not blaspheme God. You are not permitted to insult, ridicule, mock, or desecrate Christian beliefs or practices on the forum. While you can participate in polite intellectual discussions concerning Christianity, attacks against God that come from a place of atheism, hedonism, or secularism will not be allowed. You are also not allowed to have heated debates with a fellow Christian for his views, dogmas, or doctrines. Do not emotionally argue with fellow Christians.

This is a needed step for the forum to transition from a PUA/hedonist community to a men's Christian community. This rule should make it clear to all that RVF is no longer a place to learn about dating or sleeping with girls.

Also, the meetup forum is indefinitely closed, so don't post meetup threads in other forum sections. I updated the rules to make that clear:

Quote:You also cannot post meetup threads (use Private Messages instead).

I may bring the meetup forum back in the future. In the meantime, use PMs to find out the location of others.

Does this rule only apply to Christian believes?
Or does negatively referring to God, in the context of an other religion, still breaks this rule?

I guess Satan won't be joining the forum then.

That's not how we do things in Russia, comrade.

Correct, it only applies to Christianity. This forum is not a safe space for Jews, Buddhists, Muslims, etc.

I'm still confused with the new purpose of this forum. What is a "men's Christian community"? Seems pretty vague

Roosh, what you are doing takes a lot of guts, boldness and bravery.

The whole of the world will be our enemy, and as long as we have Christ, victory is assured.

Remember, everything MSM is inverted and a projection tactic.
The truth is, this clip is depicting a very real, dark, evil desire, by a satanic globohomo elite, to enslave you.
All neatly presented and wrapped up in a tasty, comic-relief filled treat.

Roosh, what kind of bothers me is the seriousness of these changes. Not talking about the forum, it's like you are killing off your sense of humor in the process.

I don't know, maybe you feel that you've had too much fun in your life and seriousness is what you need right now, but instead of having on laser sights, maybe it's best to step back and a bit and re-evalutate every now and then?

I'm new to this forum and your material, but it feels like (and I'm not being insulting), you are getting rid of any joy and becoming a classic 'Ned Flanders', like going from a cool guy you can hang out with to someone that's rigid and predictable. Not trying to be rude bud.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but Roosh has turned into a chode in the process. Fuck this forum and fuck my membership here. The place has gone to total shit. Dudes posting threads laughing about people getting murdered and whatnot. I hate to say it, but all the feminists and SJW's unfortunately were correct about Roosh on many topics. Roosh dug his own grave. Got too involved in politics and has a past he'll never be able to shake because of it. Turning this into a Christian forum won't do much unfortunately. Please ban my account

Not seeing the problem here. Not blaspheming is basic stuff to respect those of Christian faith. Has nothing to do with not having fun or lighthearted threads.

Dr Johnson rumbles with the RawGod. And lives to regret it.

I have had this sig since 2015 and received thousands of post likes; yet not one person has commented on my sig. Perhaps you're familiar with the work it parodies? Let me know!

I'll stand up a bit and think the wording is a bit over-vague.

I'd agree with banning people who openly mock or blaspheme.

We should allow some level of argumentation as long as it is clearly performed in good faith. Doing so is good for practicing apologetics and for practicing envangelization.

Polite debates are fine. Nothing beyond that because it always degrades to anger and insults.

My concern is more of the side that the forum is increasingly becoming atomized. Not everyone has the same beliefs and the banner which used to unite a wide spectrum of men is being narrowed down to very little. This was a living forum only a couple of years ago with a community on the verge of influencing and changing the world and now it's becoming a shut-in. it's a waste of potential.

I think that the people who would go out of their way to blaspheme and ridicule Christian beliefs are already so obnoxious in general that they would get banned just for that (think your typical SJW, very different from your typical atheist/agnostic forum member), but I guess it doesn't hurt to clarify things.

RE: New anti-blasphemy rule (effective November 1)
Here is a point of view you'll only get from people who are from Gen X or older. I'm old enough to remember when not being blasphemous was part of America's general, day-to-day morality.

People who didn't live through the 1970s and 1980s tend to only know these decades by the media's version of them: Post-hippie feminism and divorce. But decades don't exist in vacuums. Both of these decades had the old morality of the 1940s and 1950s exerting a strong influence over them.

Why? Because we still had the Greatest Generation in charge. You didn't walk into school (or your part-time job, for that matter) and take the Lord's name in vain in front of your church-going World War II veteran teacher, principal, or boss. It was considered wrong and disrespectful in a general way that's hard to explain, but easy for me to still feel and remember.

People wonder why we had such hang-wringing over "Satanism in rock and roll" back then. It's because the entire focus of the society was based around Christian mores. The music put out by bands like Black Sabbath wasn't considered mere eccentricity or a way to make money, like it is now. It was genuinely offensive to a culture of people for whom "blasphemy" was a real thing.

So, this rule won't affect me. Back when I grew up, virtually everyone toed this line.

I agree with you on this one... but Roosh and the heavyweights of this forum have now evolved. Nothing stays the same over time. Roosh seems truly happy about his current life (from the bits & pieces I've seen from his US Tour videos on YouTube) Roosh more than gave enough to the Manosphere & the Game, so now it's time for someone else to carry the Gaming Flag if they desire. Roosh was arguably the biggest PUA figure next to David D & Mystery.

I mean Julien Blanc is now a ridiculously successful "life coach"... and he couldn't even tie Roosh's laces in term of popularity in the Game! Yet Roosh chose the life of a PUA conqueror, and then in the truth movement when he could've sat comfortably & easily rivaled & surpassed RSD with his own company.

Even while I'm not a Christian, I'll always cherish this Forum, and contribute in whichever way I feel that I can, leaving my "degenerate" beliefs aside for a minute razzrazz

This is where I disagree.
Your brand of Christianity obviously differs from mine.
Man need not interpret God for anyone but himself.
Those that do, and attempt to speak for him, are the blasphemists.
This type of preaching is for the uneducated and easily radicalized and it has no place here.
I really don't like when people attempt to use emotions to prey on faith.
Emotions have no place in faith, and the men in these videos will be the first to tell you that "if you had Jesus in your heart, you would feel as I do"

Completely disagree. It was an even more divided unagreeable community easily led astray with Hedonism and nihilistic ideals.

I agree with this sentiment. The forum was riddled with false pride that we were highly relevant on the world stage merely because Roosh was being oppressed. We weren't on the cusp of changing anything at all, and anyone is welcome to point out evidence to the contrary.

Meanwhile I'm disappointed to hear that all the time I spent making the giant golden calf I was going to bring to the next meetup has probably been wasted.

God demands of Man responsibility. God demands of Woman vulnerability. These are their curse and blessing alike. Libertianism is to Man as Feminism is to Woman.

I understand it as a congregation of non-blue-pilled Christian men tackling life including their vocation. The rule seems to clarify that's not allowed anymore to be ridiculed for it.
