Ryan Deiss is too the best of my knowledge a total fraud and fake guru. None of the guys who actually know their shit run these kind of workshops, they are using their knowledge to bank for themselves.

I got my hands on a traffic and conversions workshop videos when he and Belcher did it in the past. I tested a few of the things they talked about and they worked very well.

They work different niches and bank using the same information in those niches.

Let's hear more about your "knowledge" and how it makes him a fraud.

Lets see, how about the fact that I've actually worked professionally with SEO and affiliate marketing for 4 years and actually worked with millionaire affiliates and none of them would dream of selling their knowledge which made them millionaires.

If you had bothered to google a bit you'd have found plenty and plenty of negative reviews about his products. He is a typical self claimed 'guru' part of the so called Syndicate with Frank Kern and all the other frauds tricking people into buying expensive workshops with basic rehashed info anyone can find for free. These guys btw are going to go down hard with the FTC on their ass, they're going to end up broke, sued and in jail.

I haven't met a single succesful affiliate marketer, linkbuilder/seo, who has ever claimed to have learned anything from these gurus with their fancy products. I can smell bs scam frauduct a mile away. Will there be some good things in it? Of course, but nothing you won't be able to find at much less of the cost and without these guys trying to upsell you into $5000 personal coaching.

Whether you think I am qualified or not, I've ranked sites on very profitable keywods. I've had a site with 1000 words and two pages on it make more than $10000 a month. I think I am qualified to comment.

I am trying to help you not waste your time and money.

Lets not get into cock measuring contests. I've made a significant sum in seo and affiliate marketing and that is the final test for me when it comes to taking advice from others, not if someone has been in the game longer than me.

Has Ryan Deiss personally ranked websites for high value keywords or hasn't he? And if he really has the golden knowledge on these things, why isn't he making millions of dollars a month ranking for 'payday loans'? Cause if he was able to do that, why in the world would he make $57 Clickbank products.

Yeah, I know, but sometimes others reading it may see where his type of reasoning is wrong. I always tell people not to blindly follow someone but to test what they say to see if it works. It also goes for those that scream fraud without having a clue as to what they teach.

Anyway, by bad for contributing to the pollution in this thread. I won't be going, but after viewing some older videos, it should provide some good info.

Some of the stuff I touch on, in that thread, I learned the concept from a Traffic/Conversions workshop video and tweaked it to meet my own business.

It really opened my eyes how Belcher and Diess had their sales funnels setup.

I do think after Belcher left, Diess got greedy with some of his products. He seemed to have built up single products from that workshop and sold them separately.

Sometimes, you learn a ton just by watching what they do.

I've been to 3 of the last 4 T&C events. Wouldn't be going to this one if they sucked. They're good and worth the money for people who put the info to use. They were good about not being too redundant and rehashing old stuff from year to year, too. Looking at the agenda for this one however, http://trafficandconversionsummit.com/agenda/ ... I get the sense there will be some rehashing of previous years material with just minor tweaks.

Is Belcher still around? The guy is a really talented marketer.

I find these types of workshops are great for brainstorming. At least for me, they open up a lot of ideas that I can build on and test out.

I'm a full time IM'er, one day I'll make it down to one of these big conventions, but more for the networking (which is the best reason to go IMO). Love him or hate him, Ryan Deiss is the real deal. His work on video sales letters is amazing, but generally these seminars are quite 'vague' in what they actually teach. For real deal actionable knowledge you are probably better of getting a home study program or hooking up with a coach who will guide you whilst you are building your business. Just my humble opinion. Great point MikeFC made about many internet marketers only making money, teaching people about internet marketing. This does go on way too much, I agree. I just thought I would mention that I actually make most of my money in the non internet marketing niches!

How were you able to take action?

How much $$$ did that translate into?

If I'm reading his ad correctly, it's only $500 to attend (and $2,000 after earning cash from what you learn at the seminar).

Who has he written copyletters for except for his own salesletters about writing salesletters?

There are countless copywriters with proven accolades for ad agencies who have written books. Where is the real wold experience of Ryan Deiss outside the IM niche?

They (Perry also) are the real deal, but they are unashamed opportunists. Ryan lifted the VSL stuff off of Jon Benson. They've taken high level info I've shared with them (stupidly) and somehow it found its way into 2 different products of theirs. I appreciated that a lot, but lesson learned. Shut up around them. They do give plenty of specifics at the events.

I know you want specifics but I've learned it's usually in my best interest to not talk about what I'm doing (note: above). Most of what I learned at the events I didn't take action on (but to be honest, what I learn and take action on is irrelevant to what you'd learn and take action on). I'm doing good with what I'm doing so I'm not going to an event looking to jump into totally new stuff that doesn't fit with what I'm already doing. There's a whole lot on the 2014 event's posted agenda that looks to be mostly irrelevant for me (examples: mobile, most seo, social marketing, local marketing, blog traffic, and startups).

So why am I going? I consider it continuing education and so far I've always gotten my money's worth at the previous ones. I don't know how much I've made by implementing what I've learned from the past events, but I make over $100,000 a year and I'd like to stay on top of the latest IM stuff (selectively using some of what I learn) so I can continue making a lot of money and also have a safety net of backup IM info I can fallback into just in case what I'm doing starts to fall apart and I need to go in a new direction.

If you go, let me know. I'll meet up with you and Christian (if he goes). Maybe do a couple workouts together, too.

BTW, nobody pays that extra $2,000 or whatever it is. They pay the $500 and that's it. Deiss doesn't expect anyone to make the extra payments. It's a good deal if you can find someone to go with b/c the guest ticket is only $200 more... plus splitting hotel room which looks to be around $300 a night.

You say he's a fraud and don't prove it yet you want people to prove Deiss is the real deal. Geez man. How about this... he can get 2,000+ people to pay $500+ each to fill a conference room... and OBVIOUSLY sells millions of dollars worth of products year in, year out. Deiss doesn't even claim to be a great copywriter. Besides, Perry Belcher does all the copywriting for them. And they flat out say video sales letters almost always get better conversions than sales letters.

It's painfully obvious just by what you post and the questions you ask that if you're not trolling you're an amateur in IM.

wasn't Frank Kern already fined massively by the FTC? I am in the internet industry, but not an IM'r. The guys I know and have worked that are extremely successful dont sell info products. Running conferences and selling these products from what I know is far easier than actually doing IM.
