RE: The NBA Thread
I've long believed that NBA playoff games are rigged in order to prolong series to make more money for the league or for other agendas.

I believe that Eric Spoelstra threw last nights game - Miami has the opportunity to close and Spoelstra made some moves that were so mind boggling nonsensical that the only explanation is that he threw the game.

Here are some of the moves.

1. Bringing in Beasley to guard West in the 3rd - I think - when he was hot

Beasley is the teams WORST defender and as a rule Spoelstra rarely plays him and never trust him in a similar situation - potential close out game 4.

2. Not playing Allen and Cole enough when these two wear tearing up Indy all series. (playing Chalmers instead)

3. drawing up the last shot as a corner 3 for Bosh when all you really needed was a 2 to tie. And not having your best three point shooter taking that shot if thats what you wanted to do.

i am convinced that this game was thrown.

LOL, Lance Stephenson cracks me up, he's such a troll. I do think he got under the skin of LeBron in Game 5 a bit, but he's gotta stay focused on winning the game instead of creating individual battles.

Lance is hilarious. I want him and Boogie to get put on the same team. That would be chaos (and awful basketball).

Stephenson is getting paid league minimum and he is an unrestricted free agent after the playoffs. What is he worth? Will the Pacers pay him? Who else is going to pay him?

Stephenson is interesting because he is one of the only guards with the upper body strength to match LeBron, plus he has that huge wingspan.

My <insert relative> from South Florida says OKC will be in the finals because the NBA doesn't want the Spurs back in the finals. Remember America is about money and tv ratings depend on money. The world wants to see some young competition.

RE: The NBA Thread
Yeah I thought they threw the game too, but I didn't think it was because the NBA is rigged which it could be. I thought they threw the game so they could enjoy winning at home instead of on the road. If they throw the next game then I don't know maybe it is rigged. Last year I was convinced it was, when Spurs lost game 6. They took out Duncan in the game with about 15seconds or so to go and Miami kept getting those rebounds off shooting three's then getting another chance and scoring them. Bullshit.

The rewards I see from working is what made me an addict.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but a few of those foul calls on Lebron were ridiculous!

Yes, Isiah could make 3s

So could Stockton, Kobe, Jerry West, and Bird.

Jordan and Wade could make them when they really needed to.

At nearly every position, the Thunder have someone bigger, stronger, faster and fresher.

Westbrook is bigger, stronger, faster, and fresher than Parker

Reggie Jackson is bigger, stronger, and faster than Danny Green

Kahwai Leonard and Durant as similar athletes. But, Durant is probably a better player.

Serge Ibaka is much more athletic than Tim Duncan.

Kendrick Perkins is comparable to Thiago Splitter.

*****

Ginobili is always an x factor but all the Thunder wings actually match up well with him.

*****

The Thunder just have a significantly better group of athletes than the Spurs do.

That's why Ginobili admitted that the Spurs have to play perfect to beat them.

*****

Coaching and team work does go a very long way.

But, speed, strength, size, energy, and length also go a long way!

*****

We'll see what happens tonight.

The Spurs are my favorite team but I have to be honest, I'm worried.

The only things that can save us are home court advantage and bad decision making by Westbrook. (or, a monster game from parker/ginobili)

Dont forget AGE.

OKC has the young legs.

the longer the series goes on the worse the Spurs chances.

The Spurs will win the series as long as Tony Parker doesn't think he can take advantage of certain match-ups. As soon as the ball stops rotating around the roster is when the Spurs stop winning.

As a lifelong Spurs fan, that game was too painful. I understand what Pop was doing with sending all great perimeter defenders out there, but you still need at least one guy that is good at cleaning the glass. Honestly, if Pop could do it again, I bet he would foul at the inbound pass to force the free throws...

I liked what I saw last night. Let's hope the Spurs can at least keep it close in OKC.

I saw that. It was one of they guys in the group that tried to move the Kings to Seattle. He says he doesn't plan on moving the Clippers, but lets see how that changes after one year of sharing an arena...

I wonder who gave her this idea lol

Daniela Rajic Sues Paul George For Paternity of Daughter

Paul George scored 37 points last night, leading the Indiana Pacers to a Game 5 win over the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals.

But the 24-year-old NBA All-Star didn't have much time to savor this victory, as he woke up this morning to a lawsuit.

The New York Post confirms that Daniela Rajic, a 24-year old stripper who slept with George a little over nine months ago, filed a paternity suit against the baller in Manhattan Family Court this week.

Rajic worked at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Miami when she met George, with insiders saying the two did date for a few months.

But the relationship ended… Rajic revealed she was pregnant… and a paternity test confirmed that the daughter born on May 1 does, indeed, belong to George.

"As Paul has said all along, if and when the legal process confirms that the baby is his, he will fully embrace his responsibilities as a father," his rep said.

"He will provide emotional and financial support to the child. ‎The process has been amicable and we hope it will continue to be until this issue is clarified."

Earlier this year, George denied a claim that he offered Rajic $1 million to abort the baby. Details of the lawsuit (i.e. the amount Rajic is demanding in child support) are unclear.

Miami just teaching them a lesson in discipline right now, they can chuck their overall loss up to Hibbert not playing like he should.

As I said a few pages back... Pacers felt fortunate simply to move on from earlier rounds. They just don't have it yet.

On the plus side, not only are we assured a compelling Finals narrative, but now AthloneExcelsior is happy because his boy Hibbert crashed and burned.
