If fapping to porn is a - 10 on the damaging scale, what would you say is negative the effect of fapping to images?

Using only non moving pictures of girls to masturbate instead of videos, is like being addicted to wine, beer & marijuana, as opposed to being addicted to hard vodka, heroin & cocaine.

If you are using just images and thinking that this is "ok"...think again. This is the mindset of a weak man, who wants to find excuses not to quit his harmful addictions.

If you want the full benefis and superpowers of NoFap, you gotta quit this shit hardcore.

ONLY EJACULATE IN (or on) REAL LIFE GIRLS.

Here's the plan to follow:

1. Block all porn on all your devices.
2. Use ice cold water on your face & hands when you are tempted. Shower cold as well.
3. Use the extra energy to exercise and/or talk to real girls.
4. Get 1 or more real life girlfriend(s) and only cum in (or on) her/them.
5. Only real girls are allowed to touch your dick. You are not. (Except washing and pissing)

...

Day 4 over here, no problems so far. Had a couple 90 day streaks in college where I absolute killed it, going to quit for good this time as I focus on growing my business.

It really is mind over matter though. You're not going to find a therapist that's gonna diagnose you for "porn addiction." (Most of em have their heads so far up their asses that they don't even think it's a real addiction) There are no Fappers Anonymous groups, 12 step programs, or pills you can take to help control your addiction. Your desire to rewire your brain and overcome your addiction must be stronger than your desire to masturbate and watch porn. That's all there is to it.

If you're looking for solid arguments for why you should quit porn (aside from its physical effects - eg. PIED), I recommend reading The Porn Myth by Matt Fradd. He's Catholic but his arguments aren't grounded in appeals to religion so even non-religious people will find them convincing.

Relapsed just now, I re-installed a porn blocker now, clearly when the old one got broken with the update of Firefox just letting porn go unblocked wasn't good enough.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - MaceTyrell - 01-15-2018 12:32 AM

I already agree that quitting porn and masturbation will be helpful for me.

It’s just a matter of having the power/psyche to actually resist.

Sex-a-holics Anonymous would be an acceptable venue I think.

This'll help in emergencies.

I haven't even hit play yet and it's already working.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Marmite - 01-15-2018 12:21 PM

Coming to the end of day 15. I work a varying shift pattern, so have only woken up with morning glory a few times, when waking early. Watched a bit of porn, but not felt an urge to masturbate. Other than the slight pressure sensation in my balls, I don't feel much different. I think I may have flatlined.

Don't do the classic mistake. Don't test yourself as it can become endless cycle of testing which at the end culminates in well... fapping to porn!
People flatline and start to test themselves to see if their dick stopped working and to their surprise suddenly they get huge surge of dopamine rush in brain, their face becomes red and urges come like a fist in your face. And they fail. 90% of time. You didn't, but you will not get away forever if you are doing that.

I hit day 7, had mega uncomfortable urges I was scanning girls asses on the streets with hawk vision, anyone else see slightly uglier girls as better looking when on nofap? I feel proud that I haven't edged but im gonna make it as far as I can. Being with family in Poland now helps too.

Day 46.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - solotak - 01-16-2018 05:08 AM

~1+ month - longest ever PMO... suprisingly easier after the 2-3week. Had some strong temptations but i like the energy and boldness that comes from no PMO so i think that's helped overcome temptations.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - seabridge - 01-16-2018 06:01 AM

What does pmo mean?
Still going strong on day 22

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - sterling_archer - 01-16-2018 09:00 AM

I think that it means porn masturbation orgasm.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - LEMONed IScream - 01-16-2018 09:41 AM

I gave in after two weeks. Two days in again and hyped again, think the streak will be longer now!

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - kosko - 01-17-2018 07:29 AM

I'm back to day one. Over 6 months+ of progress down the drain. I've had a rough few weeks so I am not surprised that I relapsed. The only silver lining is that from hitting rock bottom there is a new push to change things and level up a bit. For this relapse there isn't any shame or guilt involved. I think that since I lasted so long on no gap that doing another 6 months isn't an issue.

Day 10.

What's the average amount of time it takes until I'm "rewired"?
And how would I notice?

Also, I'm starting to develop a strange craving for thicker/curvier girls.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - King of Monkeys - 01-17-2018 07:39 PM

I can't remember when I stopped, but I guess I'll keep going anyway. Sometimes I feel unbearably horny, and other days I just don't give a fuck about checking girls out and just do my own thing.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - seabridge - 01-18-2018 05:23 AM

Having great difficulties right now. No leads nor plates are coming through. I'm desperate for an orgasm. But I will not watch porn or jerk off. I consider fucking a old plate which wasn't really satisfying just to get a nut.
How do you guys hold off from temptation when sex is not available?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Mikestar - 01-18-2018 05:26 AM

Had my 3rd wet dream ever on day 10, I woke up and thought I jerked off but I didn't, they ways feel weird but I guess wet dreams are a natural form of discharge.

They are pretty weird are they? I always feel weird after them, even though they are natural.
First time I had them a year ago I googled them. From biology class I knew enough, but haven't ever experienced them during puberty. Weird, right? You are supposed to have them as a kid when you enter puberty. But I never did, like many others. It's because porn and fapping. Porn completely took over production of images instead of brain. Body never felt the need to have wet dream.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Mikestar - 01-18-2018 06:30 AM

Yes sterling_archer, I definitely believe that's true. I never had them till recently but it's a good sign. I guess my brain is getting used to not seeing porn every day.

5 days in, feeling a bit of a slump I must say.
