Never officially done a challenge so I'll post here and see how it goes. Day 7 already. Let's see if I can make it until NFL season.

How many days do you think it takes to reach the top 1% of no PMO?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - GreenManaleshi - 05-26-2018 11:40 PM

6 months of no Fap / Monk-Mode was a piece of cake:

1) Hit 45 and suffer from untreated low T.
2) Get cancer and have a miserable recovery that takes years to resolve
3) Gain a ton of weight and feel shitty about yourself
4) Suffer from chronic low back pain due to degenerated discs
5) Toil at a stressful job and barely manage to make it through the day as your marriages slowly dies

Viola! No sex drive. No sex. No Nothing.

Smile

Relapsed at day 5, better than nothing. Was feeling extreme urges yesterday and today. I'm supposed to meet a chick at the end if this week so I need to be on point so I will continue.

Just broke a four-week streak. Back to the start. Fuck this feeling.

I feel like I've tried just about everything over the past three and a half years. I don't know how to break this

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Mochihunter - 05-29-2018 11:46 AM

Im in day 11. On day 8 I had sex with my girl. As expected I came in like 5 minutes, but my recovery time also only took like 5 mins. So we marathoned fucked the whole memorial day weekend. After about the 3rd nut you can bang at a regular rate. My erections are stronger but still need improvement. It hasn't been a clean no porn either. I've been looking at nudes of past plates. Maybe Idget harder cutting out the nudes.

Decided to Jump in again @ day 1.

Business has been on complete shutdown the past month for a variety of reasons. My professional career has taken a temporary hit. I need to get back on track, this requires a rigorous study/work schedule for the next 3 months at least. Sounds like the perfect time for me to join the nofap rfv group.

Best of luck 8ball

Weird question but I'm sure it's been brought up here at some point -- after going through a time of NO FAP is it normal to leak out jizz just getting a boner and touching your dick??

I'm on 10 days but previous to that was at 19-20.

Weird because I don't leak out during night/morning wood.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - sterling_archer - 06-01-2018 12:40 AM

It probably is, but that is mostly "precum".

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - BlastbeatCasanova - 06-01-2018 08:34 AM

I tried it, and around day 27 it was just too much a distraction. I was geeked on Vyvanse one night and I figured if I cranked out a load, it would help me sleep, which it did.

For me it was also a "use it or lose it" thing. When I finally jerked off it felt like my dick couldn't get fully hard and the feeling wasn't 100% there. Started shooting out some really watery cum right before the main orgasm, but it was probably biggest/most forceful load of my life, so that was tight. Facetimed my main chick so she could watch and so it wouldn't feel like a huge waste.

Nowadays I just save my spunk for the weekend and jerk off on Sundays if need be. Moderation is key and NoFap is too absolutist for me. Maybe for guys who are legitimately addicted to porn/fap and need to rewrite their brain circuitry it's a good move, I'm definitely not knocking it. Just wasn't really seeing results after trying it for the second time.

According to my spreadsheet I have jerked it 28 times so far in 2018 and looked at porn (usually gifs, short clips) 10 times. For the fellas in the NoFap Campaign, soldier on my friends

I do agree somewhat with you that this whole thing can be absolutist, i.e. being religiously pro this challenge and shaming those who fail. There is no shame in failing this challenge. It is hard. Probably among the hardest mental things someone had to go through in his life.

What was your previous porn usage before attempting challenge and what is it now?

Agreed. Excuses aside, I failed because it was hard.

Porn usage for me has always been sporadic. When I was a kid I'd watch a bit here and there when the opportunity presented itself. When I watch porn I'll watch like 2-5 minutes and then wank, I've never been a binger. Sometimes I feel scrubby after using it as opposed to using my imagination, old nudes, reading my sex journal, etc.

Nowadays I'll go on tumblr and look at gifs, or scroll through some porn star's twitter for clips and stuff. Not to often do I open up pornhub unless I see some new girl on twitter or somewhere that I'm curious about. I'm definitely fascinated by the porn industry, I enjoy reading interviews and that kind of stuff, trying to figure out what makes these pron girls tick, and how they are down to take hundreds of dicks in depraved sex acts on camera. Must be the psychologist in me.

After getting into the manosphere, where there seems to be an antiporn vibe, I just keep it as minimal as possible. Reading my sex journal gets me going way more and I recommend every man keep one. It's awesome.

I must add that from Jan to April I was getting sex at least twice a week, so minimal masturbation was easy. I'm all about using a little willpower and saving my load for when I bang. It makes me perform like a beast and the girl will definitely notice. If I've fapped 3 days in a row and then bang I'm kinda whatever about it, not as hungry or aggressive. Since I've moved for my seasonal job it's taken a lot more willpower. I'll rub my dick down with coconut oil and want to take it all the way so bad but then think about how much more effective I am out at the bars with a full load in my balls (the difference is crazy).

Very TL;DR reply, sorry for the wordiness. I just got wifi at place so instead of lurking on my phone I can contribute so I figured I'd pop some words off

Nofap noporn challenge has always been about rewiring the brain in order to severely limit or completely cut off porn from male or female life. In my case, I was an avid porn user from ages 14 to 18 really and this last 6 years not so much.
Even if that is a fact, I found it hard to do this challenge and still failed numerous times. I am literally talking about minor using of porn here, now imagine what those guys who used it every day feel when on nofap noporn. It must been for them like a sudden heroin withdrawal period!

I am a supporter of the challenge but I don't hit myself because I failed. I also failed today and what is next? I will again do the challenge until failing and then start again. Each time I am rewiring my brain and each time I am learning something new. So what if I don't manage to do 100 days or whatever. I am basically always on the challenge, all year long, no matter how many times I failed.

Dude totally, I think it is literally heroin for the male brain. In another life I'm probably a raging porn addict

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - duedue - 06-04-2018 11:24 AM

I've ejaculated from masturbation only 3 times this year but I have touched myself without coming much more than that. My problem is not fapping because of feeling horny. It's fapping out of feeling down and depressed.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Mochihunter - 06-04-2018 12:19 PM

Back at 0. I made it to day 16. On day 15 I had sex maybe 4-5 times. I didn't have the same mojo as last week. My erection quality dwindled. I think it may have been because I've been looking at nudes non stop the past week. I was feeling bummed out and fapped this mornin. I'm going to try to go clean this time.

I thought the fap would be the problem with me but it turns out I look at porn more than I thought. So tommorow I'm going to attempt a more clean no fap no porn.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Sooth - 06-05-2018 06:55 AM

I haven't been keeping count but I've been on this for a good couple months now.

One possible side effect is I've stopped biting my nails. Probably something to do with anxiety?

I thought the whole point of this challenge was to replace bad habits IE watching porn and jerking off, with good habits. IE When I feel horny go out and talk to girls with the aim of having sex with them.

Was I wrong?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - sterling_archer - 06-06-2018 01:09 AM

That also, but primary thing is the rewiring of brain. Porn is addictive and "hurts" in the long run. Just read your brain on porn by Gary Wilson.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - duedue - 06-06-2018 08:27 AM

Is there any guided meditation for when you feel aroused and there is no release in sight? Something to "transmute your sexual energy".

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - godfather dust - 06-06-2018 02:02 PM

What do you guys do if you can't sleep?

After 7 days nofap if I haven't fucked or been sucked I start getting crazy, which is great until bedtime.

I would guess my test is above average (lots of muscle, my bf% would bring it back down, and I feel like a badass unless I'm not lifting, which turns me into a pussy.)

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - sterling_archer - 06-06-2018 02:17 PM

Is this your first iteration of challenge? Slight insomnia was common for me during first and second time I attempted challenge. Later I didn't have those problems.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - godfather dust - 06-06-2018 02:37 PM

I abstain from masturbating as much as possible because I know it's bad. Once or twice a week and I'll check naked pics but not watch other dudes fuck girls. But yes, this is my first time on the challenge, 4 days.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - sterling_archer - 06-06-2018 02:58 PM

Then insomnia is nothing you should worry about. I think that most people go through it when they deliberately start challenge.
