Day 9 now.

Got laid over weekend. My dick was hard for what seemed like a very long time. Had some trouble cumming but could have been booze related.

Not seeing any other significant changes. Not feeling as horney as I would have thought beforehand. Have some acne, including on my back which I don't normally have. Not sure if this could be related.

Time to restart No Fap again, day two.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - redbeard - 05-19-2014 09:56 AM

Just broke a 25 day streak. Noooo!!! Hopping back on the bandwagon.

I'm riding for nofap too. I've done a few abortive stretches but never more than 2 weeks. I'm at 12 days now and going pretty strong, although I "edged" to some porn over the weekend. Not going to do that again, it's definitely cheating

They say cancer-causing chemicals could build up in the prostate if men do not ejaculate regularly.

And they say sexual intercourse may not have the same protective effect because of the possibility of contracting a sexually transmitted infection, which could increase men's cancer risk.

Thoughts?

"Regularly".

What does that mean?

Get your ejaculations from real women instead of porn.

Haha, this is pretty ridiculous. Too lazy to research stats, but I'd bet people jerk off more now than ever before, yet prostate cancer rates are also at all-time highs. Where do you think these cancer-causing chemicals come from? From eating unhealthy food with artificial ingredients. If you want to avoid prostate cancer, eat healthy food. Simple as that.

After 15 weeks clean I jerked off today, after fucking one girl last night and nearly another the same evening.

I was so horny I couldn't resist, although obviously I regret this now.

In any event, it wasn't great and I'm happy I realize this again now.

Don't be too hard on yourself. As long as you kept away from porn, you're fine.

Here: 255 days of no porn or porn fantasizing and occasional jerk offs (less than 4 times a week).

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - turuk - 05-25-2014 10:55 AM

I'm new to this no fap scene, is fapping to pictures of naked girls also forbidden? I wouldn't classify that as porn imho.

Anyway day 1 for me.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Constitution45 - 05-25-2014 12:04 PM

Starting to hit nofap again, hard to do when you see so many sexualised images all over the place. It is all about replacing old habits with new ones. When I started nofap alongside martial arts with Tai Chi, the energy I had was incredible. after a 4-6 hour sleep, I would feel fully reenergised.

Day 4 presently, my previous record in 2 weeks. I'm setting my goal for 30 days, it's probably more realistic for a first-timer than 90 days.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - simondice - 05-27-2014 05:02 PM

No porn since October and no fap since 3 weeks. In the mids of a dry streak that's killing me. Only way to describe it is like this.

day 1 again

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - PHC19 - 05-28-2014 02:05 AM

15 days in. Feeling good overall. Definitely in flatline, but morning wood is strong and I know it's temporary.

Question: has anyone done a PE (jelqing, bathmate, etc.) routine whilst simultaneously doing NoFap?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - zanetti - 05-30-2014 07:10 PM

21 days now. Haven't had sex in 2 weeks which is killing me. The warm weather in Tokyo isn't helping.

I do google image searches on porn stars and playboy girls from time to time but only look at them for a minute or so.

I also find that my standards have definitely dropped in terms of the kind of girls I would consider having sex with. That could be both a good and bad thing I suppose.

Still have some acne on my back, think it may be related to this.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - cardguy - 05-31-2014 08:41 PM

Felt weird the past two days. Think this might be doable for me.

Gonna' try this again!

I'm taking a break from this to properly assess whether this is really "working" or not. Sure, I've been feeling more aggressive and motivated in general, but I've made other changes in lifestyle such as eating better, no alcohol, supplements and so on. I don't know what the exact cause is.

So for the next week or two I'm going to fap when I feel like it and compare my daily state to how it's been the past few months.

OK so NP is legit. In the name of experimentation, I went back to old habits for a month. Have been watching porn frequently and jacking off 2-3 times a day. My energy is down, sex drive is lower and taking longer to finish with girls. Sleep has been noticeably worse. I have lost a lot of the "alpha energy" I could feel before. I'm still hitting the gym but it's mostly just going through the motions.

On the positive side, I have been less obsessed with sex and meeting girls. Sometimes it's nice to be able to get work done and relax with a book in the evenings. Pickup can be a huge time suck. This is something to consider if you stop fapping.

For the record, think that the porn is the bigger problem. This is pure bro science on my part, but I feel that it fucks up something in the brain - sex has not been as good and I have to concentrate more just to come. One of my girls had to blow me for close to 15 minutes to finish me off. I hate it when this happens.

So I am getting back on this. Day 1.

Gave up looking at any of that stuff over a year ago, once I read how bad it could be for you, and I haven't looked back.

Regarding the other thing I find it hard to go more than 5-7 days without a release. Between lifting, taking zinc, and enduring a dry spell it can get uncomfortable. Talk to some girls that get on your mind later and forget it... I'm not sure this is healthy. It does seem to push you out of your shell slightly but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - simondice - 06-02-2014 11:04 PM

Day 1 again no fap, No porn since October. I was going strong for 3 weeks no fap along with a dry spell ( I was dying), afterwards I caved. I felt bad, but it cleared my head and I finally got some work done. Still a better love story than twilight..

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - PHC19 - 06-03-2014 01:49 AM

21 days NF/NP. Been in flatline the entire time, but after doing a significant amount of research I know it's temporary. Good morning wood though.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - HonantheBarbarian - 06-05-2014 04:04 PM

I feel like the first ~4 days of a NF/NP regimen are the hardest.

I do well when I'm just too busy to bother

Thoughts?

After completing a 90 day cycle, you can still tap, but just not using porn, or am I wrong?

I thought the problem was masturbation was using PORN to masturbate. If your'e just using your fantasies, then you're still being stimulated by real women in real situations.

The problem with porn is that it barrages your brain with hundreds of different women and desensitises you to the women you would meet out and about.

Once your body realises that you are serious about quitting porn, the libido crashes. It can be quite frightening to feel completely dead but it is part of withdrawal.
