Relapsed. I was a week and three days strong.

My regular is on vacation and I hit up some girls but they flaked. Only resort was my hand.

...on another note, I feel like shit. Almost depressed like. Going to hit up the gym today.

I'm definitely an addict that can easily replace a going out night with a porn induced yank. I'm so sick of it. Great to see others trying to quit.

Fuck it, I'm in.

I'm on day 20. I want to surpass my previous record of 42 days.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - xpatplayer - 08-09-2014 08:59 AM

Went for 8 days and relapsed last night. Not only do I feel like shit for not having the self-discipline to stop not jerk-off, my body also feels like complete shit.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Earl Grey - 08-09-2014 10:06 AM

+14 days

I think my body has finally adjusted to not fapping. I don't have random boners throughout the day and concentration issues anymore. I feel like I have more focus and am able to take care of my non-female related business better than when I was fapping. I'm also much more willing to engage the opposite sex and more motivated to go out on dates and striking up conversations with people of all sexes. Even though I haven't gotten laid since I started the challenge, I no longer have the urge to rub one out.

In three weeks it's going to be 1 year since I last watched porn or masturbated in front of a computer screen/tits magazine. Incredible, actually, and i have no desire to ever go back. This thread literally changed my life, so thanks to all contributors.

However, i do wank from time to time by thinking about girls that i banged and it didn't hurt me. Still, i wanna start a new nofap challenge, inspired by recent posts. Day 7 now.

Well done man. Respect for completing a year and having no desire to go back.

for a person ona high dose of gear (testosterone) this is IMPOSSIBLE. i am throwing in the towel. it is not possible for me to permanently quit. I always relapse after a week.
although i shall try to limit this to once a week. feels like SHIT for hours after watching porn. i have zero desire to do anything now. brain fog setting in.

unless you have a dan bilzerian or hefner style harem porn is almost impossible to quit for a man with a high libido.

Why not just fantasize about girls you've met or seen in the street etc? If you have high T you don't need the higher stimulation of porn to get off, fantasizing of giving it to some girl should be enough. It's much closer to 'natural' masturbation, as would have been practiced by humans/apes pre-porn era. Takes the edge off ones horniness just the same, if 'relief' with a real girl can't be obtained and the frustration is just too high.

Out of interest, how did this change your sex life? How did it change the amount of girl chasing and the quantity of sex you ended up getting? This might be valuable information for guys currently using lots of porn but not getting girls.

Bullshit. Nothing is impossible.

15 days. It's been going well this time.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - philosophical_recovery - 08-12-2014 08:14 PM

Well, shit. Nexting a low interest girl and facing a dry spell. Going to have to double down on getting something else lined up. Don't want to fall back into the fapping depression.

Difficult but doable, and the rewards are worth it. It made me feel like shit too, and how can you approach women, close contracts, and live up to your potential when you feel that hollow pit in your nuts without the satisfaction of the mental image of it blown across some cutie's back to compensate? If you're juicing I guess you're working out which takes discipline, this is just an extension of it. You don't say,"I'm tired tonight, I'll squat tomorrow" because tomorrow is a moving target. That evening when you're tired and sore and say,"Fuck it", get in the car and drive to the gym anyway is just like that evening when you're buzzed and horny, start Googling nude celeb images, recognize where this path will lead and say "Fuck this", and go read RVF or mow the lawn instead.

Knowing that when you tell yourself you will do something you follow through, whether squats or nofap, is an incredibly rewarding feeling. Realize that those instances where your mindset was off and you failed at something really could have gone differently by pushing through with this and gaining control over another area of your life.

I was regular, like daily for a number of years, and even when I had a steady gf until this spring was 1-3 times a week. I had gone nofap a month+ a few times but always went back. When I gave it up last time ~3.5 months ago I didn't get any for the first 2-3 weeks and it was so wired in that it was difficult. The final straw with me was understanding how porn played off my evolutionarily ingrained desires, as laid out here (might be a repost) http://yourbrainonporn.com/ but for me anyway that was a eureka moment - I don't want my reptilian brain to be able to overpower my logical brain at will, especially when it makes me feel like shit.

When I say I quit I did still watch porn several times during the first couple weeks but strictly limited it to softcore lesbian stuff which typically wasn't good for more than an appetizer, and limited time to half hour or less; I also did fap but not to orgasm. Did the same probably once within the past month for maybe 10 minutes actually. (Does that still count as nofap? To me it does). Your mileage may vary, but for me it's a way to get the "fix" without the empty nut syndrome, and I'm tapering off that as well. Stick with it, only gets easier as your brain rewires.

Was nearly on one week, but I cracked and beat one off yesterday morning, and then another in the afternoon before I went out.
Still, i feel like Im making some headway, and have been making more approaches recently.

Day 16. Did not sleep well at all last night. Made some good gains in the gym last week, though.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - zanetti - 08-14-2014 07:14 AM

I've been doing the no porn/no fap thing for a couple of months now. Before, I used to rub one off at least once a day. I've stopped doing that alltogether so my only "release" is when I have sex which for the last 2 months or so, before I went on vacation last week, has been about once a week, once every other week.

What I have noticed is that now, after I have sex, my dick tends to get irritated/red/itchy quite quickly whereas before, when I was playing with it every day, this almost never happened.

Has anyone else also had this and, if so, any good ways of dealing with it?

I'm not circumcised btw and have been checked for STDs.

Maybe you don't precum enough to "lube". Make sure you have enough foreplay to build up ...

Didn't you have this problem before when you were fapping ?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - zanetti - 08-14-2014 09:19 PM

No it never happened to this extent when I was still fapping everyday.

It seems to happen mostly when a girl gives me a handjob. I never tend to use lube, not when I was fapping and also not when girls give me a HJ. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I have the same thing when I fap after a peroid of no fapping (more then 2 weeks). It's like the skin gets softer because it's not exposed to the firm grip of your hand anymore.

My personal best is 80 days no fap but I stopped it because it wrecked my libido (wasn't getting any sex either because I was working/studying too hard at the time).
I'm going to try setting a new personal best, as i have acces to regular sex now, and porn really messes with my sex life. It makes regular sex seem a bit boring sometimes. I will try and post regular updates here.

So it begins...

Could be. However this lasted over a month and really sucked. It's better to fap than to have no drive at all.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Earl Grey - 08-16-2014 03:12 PM

+21 days

I'm going through a poosy cold streak right now so I'm having trouble controlling urges and with my concentration when something gets my dick hard. It's weird because for me I thought I conquered these issues around day 14. I may try experimenting with fapping once a week. Hopefully for me that will maintain the balance of killing the concentration issues while retaining my new found sexual aggression. So I'm not sure if I'll be continuing the challenge or not.

I'm glad I gave this a try. I feel I know myself better as a person and what works and what doesn't for me.
