RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - kosko - 07-17-2012 01:00 AM

After about a month and a half to two months (lost count) of no porn and fap I relapsed hard. A shitty week with actin of crap going on in life I did not need and I wrang it out to my fab porn daily for a good 6 days. felt like shit after of course and started doing dumb shit to rationalize it like a broads flawed mind: "kosko yo this does not count". Sure buddy, keep saying that.

I am back trying to get back into clean and cold turkey mode. Being in this shitty boon town in Canada does not help since when I do get those urges to go tear shit up game wise there's nothing to do. Burned through all my leads too so I'm just a crack addict with no options right now. Imma keep on keeping on tho. Heading to Calgary this weekend with my old bros and prying them away from thier wives and gfs so hopefully I can get myself in that right mindset to lead into week 2 of being clean part 2.

Nobody said this would be easy but I'm still optimistic I'll shake this shit. Keep it at folks.

Mainly in terms of overall well-being and will to Life. Depression lifts; mood increases; spontaneous erections aplenty; nocturnal emissions again; rock hard erections with no stimulus; overall positive outlook on life in general; increased aggressiveness (almost attacked someone the other day :-D... and then rationalization came walking by); increase in confidence. Pretty much what I meant by 'life-changer.'

Last year I was 55 days without porn and masturbation.

I remember getting hard walking on the street with no reason and sometimes had wet dreams. Erections when fucking improved a lot, it was like using cialis and I could do it 3 or 4 times at 100% without problem.
I also remember being so horny that I lowered my standards a lot, every woman started looking desirable to my eyes, all of them had something that catched my attention... a look, a smile, a secret. I became a poet.

I sould stop this habit again indefinitely, so here I am, day 1 for me.

Day 1 again Sad

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - slubu - 07-18-2012 07:29 AM

On day 40 or so. I think I have to stop this. As much as it improves my mental clarity and makes me aggressive as shit, yesterday I had sex for the first time sober since starting this thing and I nutted in 10 seconds - no exaggeration. I had a condom on too. I've never blown that fast in my life. When I wank consistently it takes all the concentration in the world for me to nut. At least then I can give the girl a good pounding.

Not sure what the answer is but I can't be so sensitive to blow in seconds. Jesus.

Came down with a cold yesterday. All self control out the window and have started eating complete junk. So back to Day zero - probably won't restart till I'm recovered.

Can you imagine how painful it would be if you were wearing one of those and started getting hard but couldn't unlock it?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Blunt - 07-18-2012 12:03 PM

@ao85 I had the same thing happen to me. When I get sick and I know that it will make me feel immediately better for a little while its hard to justify abstaining.

I got on 3 weeks (I don't count sex) and then I got sick. Back on day 3.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Cr33pin - 07-18-2012 12:15 PM

I busted quik when i stopped the porn an fapping to

but last time i had the sex i busted an just kept going an then the second bust was 10times better an i lasted longer.. i could have went for 3 but i didnt. (ofcourse last time was also with someone from my past who i really really care about) maybe that has something to do with it

Maybe fapping sometimes isnt to bad but i know the porn part is not good, atleast for me it isnt.

Guys,

I think we need to create a stop fapping thread Smile

How long have you gone? I've been 3-4 days before without much a change at all, sometimes, sometimes not.

Its usually day 5+ where I notice a definite difference. I've heard week two is even crazier but I haven't had the will power as of yet.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - bacan - 07-18-2012 11:22 PM

Since mid-May I haven't once.. The closest I came was in Peru when I had to go a week without sex and I just left behind a girl with a super sexy body to travel more.. earlier in my life I used to have steady sex and still jerk it a ton but now I barely even have a sex drive .. I think I am doing a diet that kind of affects my sex drive and plus being kind of monogamous for a few weeks has totally destroyed my sex drive as well.. It is just hard for me to be that turned on by sex thinking that the girl I have in front of me is literally all I have going on at the moment.

DC considering the cake that you are probably making, why dont you hire a personal trainer? Its a lot easier to stop masturbating when you are working out everyday.

So after almost 4 months of no fapping and almost 6 months of no porn, I gave in to the hand (no porn, though). Kinda disappointed with myself but I don't really feel any different, no desire to watch porn, so I guess I'm close to normal. I came in like 10 seconds though. What the hell is up with that?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - ru2486 - 07-20-2012 04:58 PM

after 3 days in, i'm ready to burst/fuck/fuck something/someone up. i've been fapping and watching hardcore porn almost daily since I was 13 (25 now), and I feel so aggressive.

I'm scared to last a week haha, but the change is so noticeable, and in a good way.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Some guy - 07-20-2012 06:48 PM

It'll take you quite a while to get back to normal if you've been doing this for over 10 years. Good luck!

What if it's not the porn that keeps me from being normal though? What if the porn has nothing to do with my ability to get aroused but rather deeply rooted self-esteem and anxiety issues?

I feel emotionally distraught, worse than before I started this whole thing.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Jackhammer - 07-21-2012 07:20 AM

I've been trying to curtail my fapping for a bit now and I always cave. I don't even look at porn anymore. I just wake up in the middle of the night with a raging sex drive and need to release before I go back to sleep. How the hell do you guys get over this?

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Nomad77 - 07-21-2012 07:48 AM

The first week is the hardest then it gets easier. If you have ANY kind of girl to bang then that's the ticket. If you have nothing then go out and get something steady THEN try to quit.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Some guy - 07-21-2012 08:06 AM

@ccurtis189: You're feelings are probably being heavily influenced by your lack of porn/masturbation, in the same way that my friend who quit smoking felt like absolute shit and was depressed for the first three days of trying to quit. She started to fell better afterwards though. However, if you do have some issues that have been brewing in the back of your mind for some time then you need to open up to a friend or if necessary go to a counselor. The good thing is that you are at least trying to solve your problems (by, for example, coming to this website for advice) instead of just sulking.

@Jackhammer: You just have to not touch yourself and go without sleep... After that things become easier.

Yeah, but I have other issues aside from porn use, so I'm wondering if it's not porn that's the problem but anxiety and self-esteem. Because I can masturbate fine without stimulation if I really wanted to, and the few situations in the past that I was lucky enough to get into I was too nervous to get aroused with the girl.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Some guy - 07-21-2012 10:39 AM

In that case maybe try counseling. If you have low self-esteem then do more sports or something, maybe do some combat sports. I don't really know what to say since I don't actually know you though. Just keep trying!

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - tapanar - 08-08-2012 02:02 PM

I made it to 2 weeks today (btw I'm 23). I haven't ejaculated but I often release a little pre-cum when I get hard (which now probably happens around once every hour of the day when I'm seated). I haven't had a wet dream yet but I started having dreams about sex. At work there are some hot girls my age sitting in the same area as me so I think you can imagineā€¦

Last week I almost got hard on the subway because of an older woman with a nice body in a dress who passed close in front of me. I think I'm getting pretty pathetic since I seriously considered fucking her. I think women somehow detect it because I feel like I started getting more eye contact from them in public.

However, I still watch porn some of the days, and I can't help touching myself when I'm alone and I get hard. Especially difficult in the morning or at night. On the plus side though, I feel there are some very positive changes:

- I find myself to be more focused in the moment (perhaps paradoxically), especially when having a conversation
- I feel like my creativity has increased
- I started working out 3 times a week and I find it helps to keep me from masturbating (and when I feel the urge I force myself to do some push-ups after which I stop getting hard for a bit)
- I feel more calm and confident in general and my voice deeper
