Day 17

Couldn't get the willy up in bed yesterday with this decently hot chic. The only thing turning me on was thinking of the "weird" porn I'm used to seeing. In all my 15 relapses before, this disappointment would usually result in me forgetting all about my determination and going back the old ways.

A comprehensive list of what is effective for ED:

I buy 20 mg pills and then cut them roughly into quarters (they're tear-shaped so getting it exact can be tricky). 5 mg has me getting hard whenever a slight breeze blows, and it lasts for about 36 hours. But give 10 a shot for the first few times and then wind your way down.

Back to day zero.

Too many things challenged my will today.

Did an absurd amount of physical activity the entire week, including yesterday and today, compared to what I'm used to. Climbed something that I thought was beyond my ability, and cooled off with multiple showers and hitting the pool.

Then, I began to sweat like crazy. It's 90+ here, with AC not being standard because it's the PNW. I was sweating just sitting down. I had a huge lunch and passed out from exhaustion and being hot and full. Vivid dreams of women during the nap started to do me in.

But, a fantastic week and a worthy goal nonetheless.

I feel terrible. No energy or motivation at all. I gave up caffeine four days ago too which can't be helping.

Will stick with it, but damn this sucks.

At least my diet, exercise and sleep routines are all in a good place.

This. It gets worse before it gets better.

Like you mentioned, focus on lifting, eating well, getting lots of sleep. Long walks, yoga, swimming, bike rides, whatever relaxes you. Don't give yourself long blocks of free time, find a book or dig into a hobby. Spend time with people you care about.

Before you know it you'll be waking up rock hard, getting wood every time a slight breeze blows, and this will all seem like just a bad dream.

I am in on NoPorn.

My personal motivation is to increase my sex drive. I'm approaching 40 and days go by without even wanting to fuck let alone make the effort.

Not so sure about NoFap. I'd rather not do it while I have a woman in my life. If / when she's gone, I'll re-evaluate. As indicated not just in many previous posts but also elsewhere, it's healthy to unload once in a while.

35 days without porn. I'm reaping the benefits of quitting porn despite the flatline.

I can attest that my posture is slowly improving, because today a friend of mine said to me: I see that you are more tall since the last time I saw you. What are you doing?. Me: I'm juicing and doing some posture exercises. (actually, I'm doing those things + no porn).

I jerked off today without porn (I'm having trouble with logistics and lack of time regarding banging girls) and I didn't experience the dreaded chaser effect (I only have this problem when I get laid). Also the desire to view porn has notoriously waned, despite the latent risk of relapsing.

I know that years of porn abuse can't be overcome in a few weeks or months, but I feel that my brain is rewiring fast because I haven't relapsed to porn despite the jerk off. I remember when I started this journey, I was more vulnerable to porn relapse if I started fapping with my imagination).

With God's help I'm pretty optimistic that my brain will be fully healed starting the next year.

From a health point of view, I believe the recommendation would be to abstain from masturbation as long as possible, and don't actively seek out "images" of any sort.

I don't know much about the "healing" aspects, as I can't identify with the "addiction" part of it. I just believe it's not good for you for many, many reasons. Mostly, it's fake and totally unrealistic. But from random reading on the subject, I presume the healing time would be 1-2 months of keeping away from it all.

It doesn't break your streak per se but it does interfere with, or at least slow down, the brain's rebooting process. So ideally you should avoid any and all arousing stimuli, including movies, text (the I Just Had Sex thread, for example Laugh), sounds, etc. I don't think a hot girl walking down the street counts.

But that's only if you can't get it up with a girl, otherwise it's totally unnecessary. I thought I had PIED once but it was just performance anxiety. Sometimes it's hard to differentiate the two.

This has always been hard for me to keep up. I've given in and masturbated to porn countless times, and restarting no fap/no porn feels almost impossible the first two days. I made it to day four or five right now, but it feels hard to concentrate since I'm still thinking about sex in the back of my mind.
