I am happy that you read my notes. All that energy I am channeling into myself to perfect myself. One of the bigger obstacles I had to overcome was to actually apply what I was reading.

Reading Red Pill books, Datasheets is fine but one must also do what they advocate and see how they affect your life and then adjust accordingly.

Otherwise one is just an armchair general, knowledgeable about wars, but without scars of his own.

(10-15-2016 10:21 AM)redbeard Wrote:  Reading your post, it is clear that you were suffering from full-blown addiction. It's difficult for men to recognize these patterns because of what is considered "normal" these days, as you mentioned. Most of my peers, even most men here, masturbate to porn on a regular basis and see nothing of it. Is it normal? Now, sure. Is it healthy? In most cases, sure. However there are men like you, me, and others in this thread who have recognized negative side effects of porn, and thus make changes.

I agree. It was a full-blown addiction. I've had a strenuous relationship with my father and used pornography mainly to relieve myself from day to day stress, much akin like an alcoholic would hit the bottle after a long and hard day.

I'm having conflicting thoughts about masturbation which have not cleared yet. Masturbation may be healthy but without the help of visual aids such as pornography. Nature may have given us the ability to pleasure ourselves if no mates are around but our ancestors didn't have 4K monitors with the possibility of 10 tabs running concurrently.

All they've had was their imagination and if there is one thing I've noticed that pornography did to me was to ruin my own imagination, my own fantasies and replaced it with their own.

(10-15-2016 10:21 AM)redbeard Wrote:  As TLOZ mentions in the wagon thread, "pure moderate drinkers" exist, and are able to have a few drinks once or twice a week and move on with their life. There are also men who cannot exist like that, and feel their life negatively impacted by alcohol. These are the men who go on the wagon. In a similar fashion, there are true "moderate porn users," who see no sexual side effects and continue to live normally, making sure to get their daily fix. We are not these men, and we must change accordingly.

I look forward to hearing more from you in this thread. To some men it is a challenge, but to some (myself included) it is a major lifestyle change that will stick with us forever.

Interesting, I've yet to come to conclusion if pornography is like alcohol or heroin.

If it like alcohol then yes one can be a moderate drinker, even possibly gain something out of it.

But if it is like heroin then it is best to abstain from it altogether and focus on having sex with a lot young, feminine women.

(10-15-2016 10:21 AM)redbeard Wrote:  For science, did you do NoFap or NoPorn? Did you have much sex during this time? How has performance changed?

I did NoFap. I tried NoPorn but failed because I always caught myself watching a lewd picture for a second or two out of sheer boredom.

Now I'm adamant and am doing NoFap AND NoPorn. I'll report when I'm done.

I've had much more sex during this time for my drive was elevated.

Also started to experience orgasms mid sex which made my girlfriend cry out of joy.

I may not last as long as I used to but Goddamn does it feel better.

Hell, everything feels better.

You see the ability to control yourself and not be controlled.

It's a feeling of freedom that I'll never give up ever again.

Day 23... my personal record

Having a regular girl so urges are not that bad.

I tried to do this without regular, but it is a lot more difficult...

I would say that maybe the effects are plasebo, but still you guys should try this. My game sucks, but i feel I am able to do better when on no fap.

Almost two months now. I catch myself trying to search for pictures of woman. Like say that old chick from the Catholic dinner. Or facebook friends that are busty. Fortunately I can still stop. I don't think it gets that easy, you have to remain vigilante.

That mindset/hypnotism/whatever tape really helped. If I drift in that directly I just think "NO" or "REJECT" and it pushes my mind away from those thoughts.

But I am visualizing a lot of "scenarios" with the hotties I see in everyday life. More than I had before. Watching lots of porn=visualizing porn. Not doing that=visualizing more real things.

I look at cute girls now and picture myself taking them down like a lion takes its lioness.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - philosophical_recovery - 10-22-2016 02:15 AM

Really glad I decided to do this.

Broke a slump I'd been in where I wasn't getting any numbers, wasn't pursuing much, and just accepting casual bangs with girls I wasn't into. Had a relationship go sour earlier this year and just wasn't giving a fuck because I knew that there was always some camsluts online that I could watch for free.

Got some digits tonight, feeling confident, upbeat, and powerful.

Happy to break that slump, finally.

I knew I could do break out of the slump, but I needed to cut off drinking and jerking to dig myself out of this self-inflicted hole. Rapidly approaching 2 months of not drinking as well.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - They Call Me Mister Tony - 10-23-2016 01:25 AM

I'm soon to be 23 days without jerking it, but the urge to look at porn came to a head a few moments ago. I slipped and looked at a few twerk videos. The old me would have kept looking until I finished, but there was a small part of me that said: "Really, bro? You're gonna look at these twerking videos and destroy the streak? Do better, man." Thankfully, sanity took over and I closed the tabs before things got worse for me. I gotta crack down some more.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - ShotgunUppercuts - 10-23-2016 01:34 AM

I never stopped looking at porn during this no fap thing. I even put instagram back onto my phone but I haven't had the urge to do the deed.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - kbell - 10-23-2016 09:35 AM

Your still addicted than. The problem is searching for new images not the masturbation.

Oh no doubt man.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - philosophical_recovery - 10-24-2016 10:42 PM

Day 17.

Having a general concentration problem. Not necessarily sexual, just a hard time focusing. May have been a coincidence.

On another note I've been waking up before my alarm, even though it's set at 5am. Lots of energy in the morning.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - goonies - 10-25-2016 03:00 PM

I copped some weed a couple weeks back which makes me lazy and stay in. More time at home, more chances of relapsing which I did. My previous streak was about 3 weeks. I smoked the last of it last night. Day 1 here we go.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - philosophical_recovery - 10-25-2016 07:59 PM

Day 18.

The problem concentrating hopefully has peaked, but it got strong today.

What I felt was pure, focused, precise aggression. When I was walking around town taking care of an errand, I felt like I could conquer the world.

But standing there at work (I have a standing desk), I couldn't handle staring at a computer screen. I just wanted to go do something, anything, other than stare at a computer screen.

I'm sure I had a bit of a wild look in my eye. Higher than usual deference towards me than normal.

Still waking up before my alarms.

This is crazy. Been reading up on nofap/porn withdrawal symptoms and this is common. I have more severe withdrawal from jerking it to porn than I ever had with alcohol.

With alcohol, I just realized how angry I had been when I wasn't sinking a few drinks after work. It was a realization, not as much of a withdrawal.

This feels like withdrawal. It also feels like life.

I've almost felt high on adrenaline all day, even though all I had was matcha and a green tea.

Let this continue.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - kbell - 10-25-2016 10:46 PM

It comes and goes. Just keep at it. The hard part is resisting when temptation comes. It gets easier but I don't think the desire to look at porn ever fully goes away or that visual or sound cues go away either. Be careful of certain images or videos.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - sonoran_ - 10-25-2016 11:42 PM

I'm pissed off with the effects in that when I'm in bed I'm horny as hell from NOFAP but when I'm out about the day I dont have that animalistic drive ( which included being horny). If I had it during the day, maybe I might approach a girl.

Day 19. My nuts are actually aching.

Sign of pent up aggression. Right there with you right now bro.

So many temptations.

Saw an instagram post today of how a Pantene Shampoo bottle looks like a dildo. Googled that shit and stumbled upon porn videos of girls using shampoo bottles as dildos.
It was really hard but I resisted.
