10 days midnight.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - britchard - 12-10-2016 12:05 PM

Fuck. Bought a VR headset a few days ago for a purpose other than porn but today my mind wandered and I relapsed. I got to just over a month I believe, so time to start again.

On a side note, VR porn is a whole new fucking level. If they combined it with some sort of fleshlight that simulated on your dick what was happening in the video, then expect a HUGE number of men just to stop bothering with women.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Comte De St. Germain - 12-10-2016 12:57 PM

^All I'll need to do to avoid VR porn is to imagine how I'll look in that suit.

The hell ? Haha

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - Vienna - 12-10-2016 03:56 PM

10 000 years of civilization and technological advancement.

And it's come to this. Robotic fleshlights pumping like a piston on your dick while simulated sex in 60 FPS is shoved 1 centimeter from your eyeballs.

Like Comte said, all you need to do is imagine yourself in that suit to stay away from it. Wonder what they might do to a guy's self-esteem in the long run.

Wow, it just took at glance at that suit and my appetite vanished.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - britchard - 12-10-2016 05:44 PM

It's sad that some will resort to having a suit like that and becoming addicted to it, but it means less men in the sexual marketplace, which is good.

The majority of guys using something like that suit aren't going to be self-aware enough to even be embarrassed or ashamed by it.

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has seen VR porn. Just from watching one video, I can tell that this is going to be huge.

Noticed I have a lot of energy and aggressive behavior today.

I'm gonna head out and shoot some pool after work to chill out.

I've done something similiar to NoFap where I didn't masturbate or masturbate to porn for Lent last year until I blew it the service of Saturday before Easter (a total of 43 days). I had a lot of pent-up energy and more active in life. I was more attracted to women and did a lot more things with my time.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - philosophical_recovery - 12-11-2016 03:52 PM

This is day 3 or 4 since I slipped after 6 weeks of nothing.

Spent some quality time together with a girl last night.

Feeling much more in control of my everything after I had a severe emotional flare up on Friday. Almost gave in due to some weird ego issue related to the emotional flare up but stopped myself. It's hard going but all I can do is press on.

It's hard. But because it is hard it is worth it.

You'll make it.

Day by day and you'll be at 90 in no time.

Count me in.
I've done nofap in the past and lasted for more than a year. (had a girlfriend a month in though).
I thought I lost the habit but when highly stressed the old demons come back. I'm getting back in control now, this post marks it.

RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious - greekgod - 12-11-2016 10:43 PM

Lets see, I went 35 days with no nuts shot but was a litttttttle too liberal with my rules. Was bound to fail because I'd allow the occasional edge and porn dump. Bit silly and counterproductive.

I have a gridded excel sheet with seven daily habits that I check off the following day. Nofap is on it. Keeps it tangible and simple to track.

The only time I lose control is hungover or buzzed. My willpower drops a ton which is to be expected.

Sober urges are generally repelled by reminding myself that some loser pervert sits in a room to mess with my life. Its a game to me. Fuck that guy. This is a zero sum game.

General observations; mood has leveled out. I'm slower to anger and more detached from things out of my control. Quicker to strike up conversations in public and wit rolls off the tongue. Ripped thru that awkward phase when your brain is readjusting. Motivation/ambition levels are all over the map and I expect this to be the case for a while. Desire to workout fluctuates but I'm just rolling with the wave. Voice has deepened. Sleep schedule regulating a bit. Morning wood game is strong like oak.

IMHO the biggest battle is the mental and habitual one with porn. So artificial and so unrealistic given the streaming delivery. Repositioning porn in my head from "something I shouldn't do because its bad for me to this is literally robbing me of a higher quality of life, income, potentially becoming a father, charisma, and a host of other positive developments and some freak in the San Fernando Valley is making a killing off it". Which I'll admit is over the top but so was my Kazaa fueled porn binge as a 14 year old.

So anyways, back at day 4. Goal is 2 months.

Day 6 today, felt very angry when I was out today and kept staring people down. Went to the gym and rushed my workout since I had so much anger and energy. I was stuck on a maths question so I threw my phone at the wall, this feels great compared to my passive beta self. Reading think and grow rich and meditating alongside nofap helps a lot and my social anxiety has vanished again.

Yes, you are doing it right.
This is exactly how you should feel on certain days.
Keep going and list your symptoms here.

Still in.i think I can clear the whole month of December.there is this pussy version of me in my head telling me to give up because it's "too hard",I have to keep telling myself to shut the hell up and kept it going . I suggest you all keep it going .

Every day at 1 am I put a mark down on this sheet of paper at my desk at when I don't fap .when it reaches down halfway to the bottom I'll know I'm doing something. Something small to look forward to .

Very well said greekgod, especially the part I highlighted. People tend to forget that long term, this can be the horrible end result.

To everyone reading this - remember ! Fapping and watching porn long term for years overstimulates the dopamine receptors in your brain to such an unnatural & dangerous level, which nothing in the real natural world could possibility ever do. You have seen more hot, naked, perfect females in a few weeks than most of your ancestors saw in an entire lifetime. May sound cool to some, but the male brain & libido was never built for that level of endless super high stimulation. Porn makes us literally become more stupid, more lazy, more beta, fully sedated and much less strong and fertile as men.

Bottom line:

Years of porn usage and fapping cause serious body and brain damage.

I like this guy. #TeamBeard. Takes balls to come out and talk about your dick like this.

I'm glad to see the movement continuing to grow. As porn itself advances (VR porn will be a game changer), we have to continue to spread the word about the dangers of porn. Even if you don't become a full no wanks warrior, porn itself is a dangerous drug that will not be fully understood for a while.

Even further, as I often recite:

"Years of conditioning cannot be overcome in mere weeks."

A thought just occurred to me and its a bit mind blowing.

Is tinder the female version of porn?

Hear me out real quick.

Women seek security in exchange for sex and men seek sex in exchange for provisioning.

We have our dopamine source which alters our sex drive in the form of porn. Your hind brain deludes itself into equating naked lizards for real life.

Does the female hindbrain delude itself into thinking "digital pile of men waiting in line to provide me resources?"

When in reality, those guys are just thinking..'eh, I'll swipe while I take a dump'

Maybe I'm kooky. I don't mean to derail but your statement about dopamine overload made me consider the inverse for women.

Tying it all back together, if my idea about tinder being porn for chicks holds water (maybe, maybe not), its all about reward systems in your brain.

Big battle to fight but ultimately worth it.
