"John Carter" and more Disney Princessification - assman - 06-01-2012 05:02 PM

As I'm sure everyone here is aware, Disney is all about feeding the princess fantasy of females. The movie John Carter shows that Disney is keeping up with the needs of their female audience. Up until now, I have never seen a movie about an unmarried princess that is quite obviously in her 30s!

The actress that plays the princess just turned 35, and in the movie, she very clearly looks over 30.

So there you have it - no need to worry if you're a 30+ single female. If you're a smart, hard working gal (the princess was head of her civilization's science academy - LOL!), you can still lock down an apex alpha.

As an aside, the movie, based on an Edgar Rice Burroughs book from 1917, was pretty entertaining - much better than Avatar. Reminiscent of Stargate (which probably borrowed heavily from Burroughs book).

I haven't watched this film, but I've never really got the manosphere hate for Disney that periodically shows up.

Yes, it has princesses. But the heroes in it are heroes too. I'd even go so far as to say The Lion King is one of the best films in any genre for a young man to watch; It is about becoming the Warrior King archetype. Aladdin is rags to riches. Sleeping Beauty is a wonderful female archetypal film; She fucking sleeps throughout the whole thing whilst some dude fights dragons and shit and sorts it all out; just like life.

Re-posting this from another thread. Pertinent.

Plus be a virgin as Cinderella wasn't riding no cock carousel. And none of these old school characters ever had 2 or 3 dudes "just hanging around". Older Disney films hammered in societal norms as Disney was largely a propaganda tool to keep Americans busy having children, fearing communists, and buying shit. It worked for a good 3-4 decades. Evrey child in North America has some aspect of Disney in their childhood.

Evreything will go to hell once make a Muppets (Disney owned) film with Ernie and Burt being openly gay, and Miss Piggy fucking around on Kermit.

Even Cinderella was princessification propaganda. Look at how she moaned and complained about doing any work.

Snow White, which is from early 20th century, was the last "good" Disney flick. Snow White worked hard and never complained and was kind to beta dwarves.
