First one to invent a time machine gets a rep point.

Is it really true that nobody was fat in 1969? It is hard to judge an era from one photograph.

I am sure things were alot better - but I would be interested to hear a first hand report from somebody who lived through it.

It is still like this in Japan (although I am starting to see the occasional fatty even here).

I was there. I went to an urban high schools with 900 students.

Trust me, it's true. Some girls were "big boned" but nobody was obese like we see today.

Thinking back to the 60's reminds me of one of the first ever supermodels - Jean Shrimpton:

Sad. And scary.

You should check her on GOOGLE - she was stunning back then.

Amazing how rapidly the quality of a population can decline. In 1993 Mississippi was less obese than the healthiest state now.

Fatty dysgenics.

This shit is getting exponentially worse. Every day of every week of ever year. Forever.

It is a runaway problem like a freaky genetic version of three-mile island. And nothing can be done about it now:

Enjoy the decline!

People were FAT in the 60's. Just look at pics of the COPS! Donut eating motherf*ckers were fat then and they STILL Fat today! Fatter

You can even find "Plumper" mags from back in the day. Women didn't work out in the gym like they do today. Marilyn Monroe pushed weights but she didn't go intense in her lifts. So she remained soft, like all the other ladies. [/align]

RE: High School Fashions in 1969 -- Nobody was fat - Timoteo - 02-24-2013 11:07 PM

Remember, in '69 femininity was still important. So yeah, women were probably more conscious of their looks and weight than they are now. I'm sure we don't mean literally that there weren't any fat women around, but there were considerably less than you see walking around now.

RE: High School Fashions in 1969 -- Nobody was fat - cardguy - 02-24-2013 11:09 PM

Just go where the money is. There is plenty of hot women around. But you have to follow the money.

Back in the 60s it was something like 2 or 3 out of a hundred were fat. Now it's ten or fifteen times that amount.

The guy behind the tree looks kinda fat don't you think? Hopefully it's a guy anyway...

RE: High School Fashions in 1969 -- Nobody was fat - Cincinnatus - 02-28-2013 11:40 PM

Reminds me of Tuthmosis' post regarding the idea that the U.S. would have some of the world's most beautiful women if the women, you know, actually looked, dressed, and acted like women.

I have some photos of my father from the 1970s where he went to the beach with his buddies.
In various photos him and his are friends lined up with all of them carrying their girlfriends on top of their shoulders just like in this photo here:

Can you imagine this today ?
Most girls are too fat to be lifted by a man and most dudes are too weak to carry a girl piggyback style.

RE: High School Fashions in 1969 -- Nobody was fat - heavy - 05-25-2016 02:23 PM

We didn't have the carb/sugar bloat back then.

The bigger girls are just, bigger girls...not fat.

After "Man I wish it was the 1960s right now" my first thought was "all these chicks probably have an insane bush."

Not even one single bitch-face or fatty in sight....

^^^Also the bigger girls covered their bodies. So many fat girls, I see nowadays wear thongs or short-skirts. Man, my eyes.

RE: High School Fashions in 1969 -- Nobody was fat - bigrich - 05-25-2016 02:49 PM

That ribbon on the leg style is nice.

Happy, healthy and attractive as opposed to the modern prozac popping fatty who celebrates her STD and abortion count.

69? You don't need to go that far back, how bout '99!? I don't remember nearly as many fatsos in my high school/college years as there are now. Seems like there was an explosion of fatties (and fags) since about 2005.
