Basement dwellers with online charisma - el mechanico - 07-29-2013 09:29 AM

For some reason these people interest me. Does anyone have any links or care to discuss, share pictures of these guys and what they accomplished?

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - WestCoast - 07-29-2013 09:33 AM

You talking about people like dash global?

Or are you defining online charisma as actual success with the Internet?

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - Gmac - 07-29-2013 09:39 AM

I think you'll probably find a lot of them lurk these forums.

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - Kickb - 07-29-2013 09:39 AM

This guy looks like a possible basement dwelling Florida native that has a lot of charisma.

Yeah, people who kick ass online but live in the basement

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - WestCoast - 07-29-2013 10:23 AM

I have only visited a couple times but it sounds like the NN forum is a good place to start since the vast majority are banned RVF guys right?

Find high reputation guys over there and try to learn about them?

Another good idea is any "hate" forums. Those will be crawling with losers.

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - Parlay44 - 07-29-2013 10:24 AM

I think a lot of them are introverted artist types with severe approach anxiety coupled with extreme pedestalation of women. The anonymity of the Internet provides the perfect venue for them to express their alter ego and inner feelings without the punishing judgement of their real life peers. People tend to hold you down in real life. Misery loves company and all that good shit. They can live the fantasy online.

Don't know if this guy totally applies, but here it is anyways:

Gunwitch

Developed the Gunwitch method: http://gunwitch.fastseduction.com/

He had a large following on fastseduction.

Eventually shot a woman in the face at a New Year's Eve Party:

The internet has become a safe haven for the introverted. Back in the day social outcasts were at least forced to go out in the sunshine and function. Once Al Gore's invention kicked off, they reclused back to the basement, finding comfort in Evercrack and WoW.

Now to survive, they create online personas all over the place, trying to get traffic sent to the blogs in their signatures. Guys have admitted to me that they've gone 2+ years without getting laid. One cat woke up from the dream, but had, in hours, wasted 1 full year on WoW. That's approx. 8K hours wasted on a game, not making money, or having tangible friends. I can't even find humor in that.

True. It is also easier than fuck to spit some really good bullshit online and get a bunch of fanboys to follow you. Then, pretty soon after, these "online alphas" develop a God complex and start to believe that the e-props they constantly get actually mean something.

The topic title basically describes my okCupid strategy.

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - lskdfjldsf - 07-29-2013 11:09 AM

There's no way of knowing - that's the whole purpose of the charade, is it not?

Critics of basement dwellers on said thread have been marked for termination.

The ground is too hard in Phoenix, so there are no basements around here.

Still, one of my neighbors in my apartment complex is like a basement dweller. They are a couple skinny dudes, and one morbidly obese chick (three ways?). They play computer games from 1998 for 12-16 hours a day every day. I think they survive off of social security checks.

Also, El Mech on another topic, I feel like we are city brothers. First off, Tampa --> change a's to e's --> Tempe. Both are small cities. Tons of young sluts everywhere who like to get drunk.

Take Tampa, compress it and drop it in the middle of the desert. Then exchange rednecks for migrant workers (in my apartment complex there has been more than one fiesta with carne asada on the grill). Then throw in a bunch of meth labs. Bam. You have Tempe.

Sounds like heaven. I have a shitload of friends in Tucson and go there sometimes the people there make Floridians seem like rocket scientists and they're all paranoid.

I guess when I said basement dwellers I meant shut ins.

Kind of like Fight Club but without the balls or introspection.

Also, anyone ever tried claiming they're a basement dweller while flossing really hard and/or wearing nice clothes? It's a variation on "no, I'm actually a virgin I haven't even kissed a girl" game when you're aggressively escalating. Contrast. Works really well on younger girls.

Yikes...I just realized I should sell off some guns. I'm still keeping the guitars, though.

Basement Dweller Representative

RE: Basement dwellers with online charisma - Clash1e - 07-29-2013 03:39 PM

^^No homo but for an older man he has a decent built. Just needs to hit the traps and neck a little more so he can overcome that chicken look.

Back to main topic. Online alphas are a nuisance. Follow a blog like that long enough and the cracks start to show. It then dawns on you that youve wasted youre time reading a blog that simply paraphrases and attempts to emulate the personas of Roissy and Roosh or some other guy.

Understand that this is an Arizona thing, but I feel sorry for your friends. Everyone except those who live in Tuscon, mercilessly clown on Tuscon. Tuscon, while it's a decent city, is always made fun as the worst place to live in Arizona. I think a lot of comes from the ASU, U of A rivalry. U of A is in Tuscon, and everyone who goes to or went to ASU mercilessly bags on Tuscon and U of A.

The heat is what makes everyone paranoid. It is so hot here, it gets into your bones eventually, and drives everyone a little insane.

Quote:I guess when I said basement dwellers I meant shut ins.

I was trying to poke fun at the basement thing. In Phoenix, there are almost zero basements, so it has always been weird for me to think about a house having a floor below ground level.

You think that dude's all Internet? I kind of doubt it. I bet he gets his freak on down at the local geeter bars.

Nobody poses for a photo with nothing on but speedos and their man-fur unless they truly do not give a fuck.

Hell, I considered this for my rooshforum profile pic once.
