In one sentence, what is your purpose in life? - Rorogue - 07-19-2019 05:54 AM

Red pill, MGTOW, God Pill, Honk Pill.

To me, these groups and factions are all a representation of men trying to find something to identify with, some meaning in their life.

By making sense of this quickly changing world and society, and adopting a world view, we are hoping it gives us a sense of purpose. Society in the past was set up for men to have purpose, and now it isn't so.

When it comes down to it- when a man has a purpose that comes from deep within him, he can navigate tough circumstances. When he doesn't, he is like a leaf in the wind.

So, I would like to hear from you guys. In one sentence, what is your purpose in life? Here, now, in this environment, this society.

Mine, as best as I can describe, right now:

To realise that the physical world is a trap, that the greatest self deception is mistaking my physical desires for the needs of my soul- and to warn other men of this self delusion.

To take over.

To make enough money so that I can a) enable my mother to retire early, b) both provide for my future family and spend more time with them, and c), become a positive role model for young men and boys through the medium of coaching football (soccer).

To reproduce as often as possible.
I've made 5 so far, 4 boys, 1 girl.

Now, I finaly feel like a have one. Baby daughter is 1 day old. Very adventurous journey so far. As my girlfriend is still young, I guess we will have 3 to 4 white Babys in the future I hope. As I was very close to the process of how a Baby comes to the world, I even now for sure know, that any women that claims to be happy childless is either lying or a psychopath.

RE: In one sentence, what is your purpose in life? - wwtl - 07-19-2019 08:12 AM

Following God's plan, praising Him in various ways, helping others, spreading the Good News and of course reproduction.

RE: In one sentence, what is your purpose in life? - Deusleveult - 07-19-2019 08:21 AM

As wwtl said following God's plan is the most important for me right now.
I still don't know my purpose in life but I'm certain that God will reveal it to me. It is just a matter of time, with him working my heart and spirit and me following him.
I will know my purpose only when I will be ready.
I'm still wondering if it's being a priest, a monk, a married man or something else entirely.

There is a general purpose that I believe is for everyone, which is to follow Christ's two commandments: Loving God with all our hearts and our neighbors as ourselves.

How that translates specifically to our lives other than the obvious avoidance of certain things (sins) and doing of other things (repentance and charity) depends.

For me it's taking care of my family, helping build a community and making music.

So... I'm going to deliberately express this in a corny way then take it back a notch.

Let em explain. I am a full believer that a man without power isn't really "good" in the sense that he is completely incapable of ever actually doing anything good. By "Power" I'm not necessarily describing being some kind of magnate or empire builder. I mean that you have the ability to impose your will on your immediate environment. By that definition even the Christ, the perfect person, was an extremely powerful individual. At a non-mystical level he was able to command throngs of followers and had such an impact on them that he started a religious organization that at this point has lasted two thousand years with its core doctrines intact and enshrined in a manner that makes the existence and nature of those teachings largely incorruptable over that time ( even more impressive because that includes periods of massive corruption within the institution holding those teachings).

Without power you have nothing to exercise charity with. You have no way to help those in needy, nor to protect the innocent or guard the truth. As a man you need to be able to protect your community, to persuade the undecided or potential allies, and even to exercise force when need be. A man who is not wiling and able to decisively and mercilessly shed the blood of those who attempt to the blood of those who depend on him is no man at all.

Money, knowledge, connections.....all in the end are ultimately elements of power that we use to shape our world. Even faith because faith is one of the greatest powers of all to manifest reality: my favorite example is how faith allowed an impoverished, chronically ill, inexperienced nun to miraculously obtain the resources and help she needed at every turn in order to fund a Catholic News organization that was instrumental in protecting the laity from the gay bishop mafia. Martyrdom allowed the church to survive and outlast multiple of the world's greatest empires.

Faith is the greatest power of all, because those with more obvious forms of power. do not understand it in the slightest.

Were the collective attitude in the West not one of "How do we stop what is happening?" but instead one of "We will not let this happen" our current state would be very different.

The purpose of life is to live it.

There doesn't need to be another, higher purpose, though if you're called to one, great. All of us contribute in our own way: Some sit on the Supreme Court, some build a better life for their children than they would have had otherwise, some help myriad strangers and causes every day. Some merely serve as a warning to others! We don't really know why - is there is a God and he has a will, it can be pretty complex to see sometimes. Probably more complex than a human mind could understand, as Viktor Frankl posited in "Man's Search for Meaning". So, I just live each day the way I think God would want me to, if he wants me to. Maybe we don't need to know.

When I'm not sure, I follow natural law - that's the closest thing I can see to God's will being manifest in a way people can even begin to understand it.

Guess I enjoy being a minor, yet righteous voice against all that is - sinister, subversive Soycialism.
Here & on other outlets.

Would be nice if I didn't have to bother however.
If matters were largely sane & normal & more reminiscent of the 'Golden Age' of the 'Leave it to Beaver / My Three Sons' era.
Idealistic after a fashion. Yet at least Salvation awaits.

New purpose:

To continue to improve my spiritual condition, and to meditate daily.
