The influence of 4chan and /pol/ - RexImperator - 08-11-2019 03:16 PM

Is 4chan the most influential sight on the interwebz?

When I look at comments on YouTube videos, various news article comment sections, and even a good percentage of the threads/topics/posts here, I see things that started on the chans.

Now that 8chan was taken down, I suppose it’s only matter of time for them to go especially hard after 4chan.

Kike free first post. Based and red pilled.

It may have been once, but I think their influence has diminished a little bit.

Zerohedge plus /pol/ will give you 90% of the info. you need.

The chans + the_donald analyzed in astounding real time the WikeLeaks DNC Leaks & Podesta leaks in the summer and fall of 2016. It was the greatest example of dispersed collaborative journalism that I have ever watched.

I have never seen anything like it before or since.

Those 3 "sites" ended up as targets forever by the elite as a result.

Was there a difference between the now gone 8chan and 4chan?

8ch was the independent coffee shop with intellectual crowds to the star bucks for plebs that is 4chan. Way more quality discussion and way more knowledgeable people before it got shilled to death and ultimately defunct, although it was rumored to be an intelligence op after Jim took over as well.

Although Q posts on 4chan, it's heavily modded, likely run by intelligence, lots of shitposts, much lower quality of discussion, anyone outside of the US and western Europe is forced to pay for a pass which can be traced back to a poster unless the coins were independently mined etc.

8chan will be back! They are going through the same bullshit that Gab did this year!

I do like 4chan because people on that board are saying what they are thinking. On what else platform you have that?

Also to my surprise, 4chan is not an echo chamber. At least /pol section isn't. You have all sorts of groups from Atheist to Communist to the "dangerous white supremacist".

But 4chan could really benefit if they would stop posting disgusting pictures all day. I do like to browse through 4chan lately but the graphic pictures are just too much. It's not just normal "porn" pictures. Its really degenerate stuff and sometimes the occasional gore picture I don't really want to see.

I would love to see a more serious modern platform come out without any censorship in a way like 4chan which you can say whatever the fuck you want but without the porn pictures.

Anonymous Conservative :

Quote:8 minutes of Jim Watkins from 8Chan. Kind of rambling, the only significant thing is he says 8chan is being kept offline voluntarily until he talks with Homeland Security, and then he will bring it back up, though they will not have any DDOS protections, which I would think would just let Cabal take it down at will:

There is almost no stream of revenue except for porn advertising.

I can't remember where I saw this, but supposedly 4chan is only worth around $45,000.

8Chan is probably worth a lot less.

Unless there is a way to crowdfund anonymously via crypto, I don't know how they would purchase an anti-DDOS service, assuming they can find a non-converged provider.

Serious researchers spend time studying the chans:

I know there was a shooting in Norway... but I can’t help laughing when “chad” is shown on the screen.

I've only browsed the Chans sparingly in recent years. Everything I need to know usually trickles down to me through the various YouTube channels I watch (especially The Asian Capitalists).

But the poster above is right. We do need a site that is open for anyone to say what they like. I've been using Disqus channels for a few years now, because they had a 'say whatever you like' channel that was fun to post on and had little to no restrictions. But Disqus has decided to close those channels down. People suspect it's because of channels like that one where the mods allowed stuff that snowflakes didn't like and wouldn't censor it.

I signed up for that site that is supposed to be all free speech by Jordan Petterson, but no invite yet, so we'll see how that goes.

I miss the days when it was copypasta, flame wars over Boxxy and knocking over that card stand.

Blondy is hot...

I'm sure she has 3 children at home and she is not replacing having children with researching about Chad, normies and pictures of naked black man on 4chan to "fight mass shooters".

I hate 'experts' like the above. It's like listening to your grandparents talk about Love Island.
