World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - Sosa - 10-19-2019 06:04 AM

2019 has seen an unprecedented number of protests around the world. Protests can be a powerful political tool for enacting change. Currently, protests are happening in places like Hong Kong, Cairo, Paris, and Moscow, to name a few. Despite each demonstration stemming from vastly different issues, many have common threads: citizens want to express their discontent with their current governments, from the "yellow vest" protests in Paris to Indonesian protests against a draconian criminal code.

Here is a list of countries that had pronounced anti-establishment protests this year:

Lebanon
Chile
Spain
Haiti
Iraq
Sudan
United Kingdom
Russia
Egypt
Uganda
Indonesia
Ukraine
Peru
China/Hong Kong
Zimbabwe
Colombia
France
Turkey
Venezuela
Ethiopia

Algeria
Ecuador
The United States
Namibia
Switzerland
South Africa
Mexico
Nicaragua
Puerto Rico
Bolivia
West Papua
Malawi
Palestine

The music video "No Church in the Wild" by Kanye West was ahead of it's time.

It seems people are tired. I think that the idea that some people get to be billionaires and others get to barely survive is finally reaching its limits because we are all so clearly able to see the injustice and inequality, and feeling like waiting for change isn't working.

Wake me up when these few milquetoast protests become a wave of riots and revolutions.

I been reading the news lately and quite ofte a lot of economist/ analysts are saying that the world is on the "collapse of societies". People are angry because of the economy, the government and basically everything...

Gaps in gender (whether you believe in it or not), racism, discrimination, corrupt government, etc...

It will be interesting to see how much worse it can get when the actual economy collapses too. Then there can be MORE protests and MORE voices.

People dont want to eat the poop sandwhich LEFTIST LIBERALS have created.
This is what you get with so many women in charge.

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - balybary - 10-19-2019 09:41 AM

The years 2018 and 2019 show that even in the western societies (where men are now supposed to be unable to put their life in danger for "their group"), the basic mecanisms that lead human behaviors are still the same that at the time of the past revolutions and jacqueries.

from the book The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind (1895)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Crowd:_A_Study_of_the_Popular_Mind
Quote:Civilisations as yet have only been created and directed by a small intellectual aristocracy, never by crowds. Crowds are only powerful for destruction. Their rule is always tantamount to a barbarian phase. A civilisation involves fixed rules, discipline, a passing from the instinctive to the rational state, forethought for the future, an elevated degree of culture — all of them conditions that crowds, left to themselves, have invariably shown themselves incapable of realising. In consequence of the purely destructive nature of their power crowds act like those microbes which hasten the dissolution of enfeebled or dead bodies. When the structure of a civilisation is rotten, it is always the masses that bring about its downfall.

Quote:On individuals and crowds:
by the mere fact that he forms part of an organised crowd, a man descends several rungs in the ladder of civilisation. Isolated, he may be a cultivated individual; in a crowd, he is a barbarian — that is, a creature acting by instinct. He possesses the spontaneity, the violence, the ferocity, and also the enthusiasm and heroism of primitive beings, whom he further tends to resemble by the facility with which he allows himself to be impressed by words and images — which would be entirely without action on each of the isolated individuals composing the crowd — and to be induced to commit acts contrary to his most obvious interests and his best-known habits. An individual in a crowd is a grain of sand amid other grains of sand, which the wind stirs up at will.

So you're saying that people in Russia are protesting Putin for being a leftist liberal? okay

I don't know how organic a lot of these are, and even if a lot of them, how many is simply because "I'm not the 1%, but the very very lucky 10%, but I want more"

I mean the average person in the west lives like Louis XIV, how many human beings in the great span history can testify to that. A device in your pocket that can change your life if used correctly etc...

And yet they won't.

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - MajorStyles - 10-19-2019 10:34 AM

The same revolutionary spirit that infected the West is now seeping over to other countries. That has happened because of the international nature of "Western" media: i.e. movies, TV, sports, etc. Eventually, people throughout the globe learn that revolution is their destiny and they can only be a man/woman of value with a protest sign in their hands.

It's really the dirty spirit of Karl Marx, transmuted into a foreign body.

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - Leonard D Neubache - 10-19-2019 10:39 AM

My opinion remains steadfast that the various races will finally riot for different reasons and in the case of Europeans they will tend to riot when they become convinced that their kids no longer have a real future (or that they'll never be able to feasibly have kids despite wanting them).

Flash points can vary. Little Sally getting raped by laughing diversity. New minority hiring mandates finally making it all-but impossible to go to school and get a good job. Or maybe some politician in a drunken moment of stupidity utters something that confirms herd suspicions that the system is run by hostile outsiders and that it's bugs are really features, just not for the natives. It could be the dagger in the back of something they think is essential, like destroying democracy by impeaching a duly elected president on bogus charges. It could be when those laughing diverse rapists skate on all charges and the masses realize their children are not protected by law.

The usual rules apply. If you wait for it then it will never happen, but the moment you let your guard down...

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - PapayaTapper - 10-19-2019 10:41 AM

Protests against power by those with less power have always been part of the human condition.

Its only the saturation of round the clock news cycle and ubiquity of of the internet that makes it seem more prevalent now. 30 years ago a protest like the Paris Yellow Vests might get a small article buried in a paper somewhere and maybe a brief mention on the nightly news

The same is true about anything that the MSM wants you to be aware of (and most especially afraid of) now. Ive refered to it as the pinhole effect

Additionally once you are aware of a topic (protests for example) then that awareness tends to create a perception "filter" and you tend to catch more incidents... Sort of a self reinforcing confirmation bias

The truth is that the world is less violent, safer, and more peaceful than in human history.

Those that want to control your filter would have you believe otherwise.

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - Leonard D Neubache - 10-19-2019 11:06 AM

I don't have the stats on the rest of the world but anecdotally it's extremely peaceful where I live and hopefully it will remain so. 90% of your risk factors can be mitigated by not driving your car within an hour of closing time at the local bars.

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - TigOlBitties - 10-19-2019 11:16 AM

I empathize with a lot of their frustrations, but most of these people would be just as shitty as the system they're protesting if they were given that kind of power. Most people don't think like Washington, Jefferson and Franklin.

Peace and quiet sounds so nice right now.

Johnnyvee made an excellent point on another thread about how physics relates directly to biology. Biology relates to the most basic cell, a species and civilization as we are all products of biology.

https://www.rooshvforum.com/thread-74221-post-2027680.html#pid2027680

"The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that if the physical process is irreversible, the combined entropy (a numerical value stating the increase of uncertainty leading to chaos) of the system and the environment must increase. The final entropy must be greater than the initial entropy for an irreversible process."

Reversible is defined as constricting the process such as pushing matter through a pipe. Thats what government does to control the masses... Give the masses propaganda, which is the pipe, which changes their state and controls them. However when that pipe fails humans will return to their natural behavior.

This applies directly to the function of anything biological including our society. History has shown us that all civilizations eventually end in an uncontrollable situation and failure. No different then running a jet engine continuously until it fails.

Protesting is gay.

RE: World on Fire? Major protests happening around the globe in 2019 - questor70 - 10-19-2019 10:01 PM

The second law of thermodynamics is really just a euphemism for death. Everything eventually runs out of steam, breaks down, and dies, including the universe, unfortunately.

This protest movement seems like a forced meme similar to how they made 'The Protesters' the Time Person of the Year in 2011.

For those that don't know, Time Person of the Year is a great indicator of what movement they're trying to ram down our throats.

This article sums it up great imo:

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/britain/brexit-vote-delayed-democracy-has-fallen/

Quote:Once upon a time, if you voted against someone like Obama or Tony Blair in Britain, you simply accepted your loss and moved on. Those days are indeed properly for story books which begin – “Once Upon a Time.” This is not something which is unique to Britain. We are beginning to see the collapse of civilization which will only end in separatist movements and violence.

People are no longer willing to accept democracy. If they lose, they are turning much more violent demanding their way or no way. Pro-BREXIT British MPs had to be escorted to Parliament by police to protect them from violence. They will have to take up a vote on Monday. Despite the fact that the people voted for BREXIT, the opposition REFUSES to accept that decision.

We are witnessing plain intolerance rising on a massive scale. Our computer has been predicting that this wave would be a wave of sharply rising civil unrest. I am not trying to tout how great our computer has been in forecasting such things. I am concerned that it seems to be always spot on. Democracy is dead.

We have protests rising around the globe against the status quo. It is both sides of the political issues. In Maryland there was a sign posted that said “Hey Liberals Better get you guns if you try to impeach President Trump.” The computer has been projecting that the 2020 elections will be the most violent since the 1960s.

There is simply a real hatred that is brewing and like the genie in a bottle, there is no way to put it all back. This simply has to play itself out and it will NOT END WELL!!! Neither side is going to convince the other that their way of thinking should prevail.

The very purpose of civilization is when everyone comes together to produce a society that is greater than the sum of the individuals. We have lost that very purpose. I honestly do not know what the future will bring after 2032. But there will have to be a lot of blood spilled before there will ever be any resolution. The hatred is far too great to overcome.

Add Japan and Serbia to the list as they've had massive protest this week.

Quote:Chile's president declares state of emergency after riots over metro fare

Chile's president declared a state of emergency in Santiago Friday night and gave the military responsibility for security after a day of violent protests over an increase in the price of metro tickets.

Quote:Ecuador Reaches Fuel Subsidy Deal To End Violent Protests

Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno and leaders of the country's indigenous peoples have reached a deal to cancel a disputed austerity package. The move follows nearly two weeks of violent, widespread protests.

The unrest began after Moreno ended government subsidies that have helped keep fuel prices low in Ecuador for some 40 years. The move was part of a broader austerity plan related to $4.2 billion from the International Monetary Fund to prop up Ecuador's government and economy.

The vast majority of the world's government programs are funded on a mountain of debt owed to senor Grabbler from the IMF noted above. Everyone is in his pocket and in theory he can now pull back on supplying the funny-money until people start to play ball but apparently the citizenry aren't keen on austerity and they figure making ends meet is someone else's problem.

Interesting times ahead.

You have to differentiate between grassroots and elite-sponsored protests.

Grassroots are farmers above, Yellow Vests, Hong Kong freedom protests etc.

Soros-sponsored is everything Antifa, everything blanket anti-capitalism, everything global warming scam, even some color revolutions protests were only shortly grassroots, but then quickly evolved into globalist sponsorship - Ukraine, Syria, Libya, Egypt ....

You will note that the elite will condone the Extinction Rebellion climatetards and Antifa commies, while they will brutally crack down on Hong Kong citizens and Yellow vesters.

And the yellow vests were not against the market, but against climate scam taxation and rising living costs while trillions are being shoved in the asses of 3rd worlders.
