Rockets GM Daryl Morey tweeted that being a GM is like being a gynecologist. They are calling him a misogynist in the comments. Haha.

Seriously who has been watching the Hawks? They're incredibly fun to watch which I can't believe (they're the freakin' Hawks) and they pass the ball like the Spurs and play a Popovich-esque style offense.

Not to mention Korver shoots hot fire.

I have, I would love for them to win the East and even the title this year.

I'm a Hawks fan and I'm loving it.

Their head coach was Pop's assistant. That's why they play similar.

Huh?

I don't get it.

They are the best team in the East right now and have beaten some of the better teams of the West on the road.

I didn't say they were the title favorites but they are certainly favorites to win the East as of right now based on their play. I said I would love for them to win it all and they certainly have a very realistic chance of making the Finals. The Cavs are garbage, Wiz and Raps have their own problems and Bulls have glass Rose. Hawks are the most complete team, basically a Spurs lite.

Yeah, it's all good.

BUT....Hawks are certainly the favorite to win the East right now.

And I hope LeBron starts playing better man, if you remember I am a fan of his but he has too mileage on him. Most mileage on any player at age 30 in the history of the NBA.

RE: The NBA Thread
Budenholzer is indeed a great coach with a great team to fill those roles on offense. That's what happens when you work with Pop for a dozen years.

In other news, who else is a Knicks fan here? I feel like eating glass instead of watching this team. They are the worst team I may have ever seen in NY. The Sixers may have planned to tank, but at least they're young, play fast and are fun to watch because of their pace.

The Knicks just suck. No one is clicking, the offense is either Melo-ball or non-existent, and the defense has more holes than a sponge.

I'm a Knicks fan. We should have kept JR Smith and Metta World Peace just for ticket sales.

^After Metta World Peace came out of therapy he legitimately stopped being a liability and won a ring with the Lakers. He was also not a ball hog or prim dona on the court. I thought he could still be used as a serviceable veteran and positive locker room presence. I was surprised that he has had to end his career in China.

I bet Steve Kerr is glad he chose to coach at Golden State instead of New York.

Do you guys think the Knicks would be better with Steve Kerr as head coach instead of Derek Fisher?

RE: The NBA Thread
Derek Fisher looks lost at times on the sidelines. It was dumb to think they would of been good but evreybody expected them to at least play .450 ball and get the 8th seed in a soft East. That is a low fucking bar and they couldn't be farther from that.

Melo is dumb, this is why the lords and heavens shame you for only thinking about money and not other factors. He took the money.. but now he will rot away the last window of his prime on shitty Knicks teams. They are a 3 year project at least to blow it up and build it back up. I don't even expect Phil Jackson to last that long, once he convinces a big name to sign he will get sick of the BS and bounce back to the beach in Cali.

I believe their coach was an assistant under Greg Popovich. I'm not able to google it at the moment so I could be wrong.

He was (I mentioned it in my last post).

But either way, the Knicks are a project and a half.

I had some free time and was able to try to gut the Knicks in 2K15, and nothing seemed to work. Heads up on the free agent market for next year, and hopefully the Knicks get the 1 seed.

Okafor and Dragic running pick and rolls would be a nice combo. But I'm dreaming.

Seriously, sometimes you just need to jerk off instead.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/201.../21913575/

Quote:WASHINGTON (AP) — Basketball analyst and former NBA player Greg Anthony was suspended indefinitely by CBS on Saturday after he was arrested on a charge of soliciting a prostitute in a Washington, D.C. hotel room.

"Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season," A CBS spokeswoman said Saturday. Turner Sports also suspended the TV commentator and said it "will have no further comment."

Anthony, 47, was arrested on a charge of soliciting a prostitute inside a room at a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown Washington just before 6 p.m. Friday, according to a police report obtained by The Associated Press.

The report also said that Anthony was suspected of using a computer as part of the crime, and that his arrest was part of an undercover operation targeting prostitution.

The hotel is less than a mile from the White House.

Metropolitan police Lt. Kelvin Cusick said Anthony was released from custody Friday evening. Police say he could face up to 90 days in jail if convicted.

Anthony had been scheduled to announce the Michigan State-Maryland men's basketball game Saturday in nearby College Park, Maryland.

Or maybe the government just needs to end these disgraceful "Swedish model" sting operations aimed at entrapping, humiliating, and destroying normal men.

A sane society understands that men, including successful and powerful men, will occasionally use whores for convenience, variety, or just for the hell of it; and that it's no big deal. Even a society as puritanical as the US used to understand this and look the other way, but no longer.

He was entrapped by a cop posing as an escort online. The cops get a kick out of doing this and have gotten very good at it; it would be hard for a civilian to tell the difference. Yes, he should have used a previously vetted service but he may have had no real experience and no knowledge of how to look for one. These third tier celebs are not so different from normal guys; you might imagine that they have fixers everywhere but that is really only true for the highest tier.

Great point, LoZ. You are right that he probably doesn't have fixers or 'ins' with vetted escort agencies, only the top tier celebs or rich people probably do. What I wanna know is that do cops create fake websites or do they put ads on Craigslist and other sites? I would reckon you are less likely to get dinged while looking for escorts on their websites and not in the local classifieds. What a waste of police resources.

He should of used a agency. My guess is he used Backpages or Eros, something along those lines. DC would be target central for bored cops setting up stings to try and expose higher profile men that will get headlines versus Mr. Nobody Supply Chain Director who has a little bank.

Yeah seriously.

Meanwhile the DC city government is corrupt as ever; they can't even plow the snow or keep the streets clean on an ongoing basis, let alone keep the peace very well in the bad neighborhoods. But they have a cop task force eagerly trying to set up famous people like Anthony for "soliciting prostitution". Our tax $$$s at work.

Kinda liked his NBA analysis too bad.
