I can recommend this restaurant bellow, they have wonderful food. The sexy female waitresses speak English and French.

Interesting how Moscow and St Petersburg are doing their own thing in terms of nightlife and culture. The most impressive high cultural places that I have ever seen, where located in Moscow. Lunchtime cafeterias with piano players etc, and they are actually pulling it off very well.

Churros, its nothing personal man, i realize your emotional reaction but what im saying is, you ordered a 100 dollar bottle of wine knowing it costs 100 and you got a bill for a 100.

Im not saying this to attack you, its better to realize that sometimes we think with the little head. It was your conscious decisions all the way.

Ive done ny share of that and still do. Whether or not they were actual scammers, in this case you werent subjected to something out of your control.

Sort of related: I was trying to get my visa more than 90 days in advance (against the rules) and I got a "rental/refundable/fake" ticket to Japan showing I was leaving the country soon, and that was enough to push my visa through early. I'd assume it would work just as well for expediting.

RE: The Russia Thread
Talking about schemes...
So we went for a coffee at a trendy café in the center of St. Petersburg. So far, so good. BTW this girl was a solid 9, and, for my surprise, no gold digger. It was my second date with her. After sitting, the very friendly waitress came and took our orders (I invited her for a coffee or chai, but she asked for a tort as well). Few minutes later the very friendly waitress came with our 2 coffees and her cake. Despite of the fact that we both ordered normal cappuccino, I noticed that one of the cups where very beautifully decorated, with a special heart on the top. We were impressed, and at this moment the very friendly (suspiciously friendly, kind of exaggerated, almost brash) waitress said "Oh this is for the lady, our barista said she is a very pretty lady, that's why he made his piece of art on her cup".
My girl became red and smiled, "oh, so sweet". I just ignored it and calmly drank my coffee.
At the end the "waitress" brought the bill (which I checked very carefully) and a wink. My lady said "could you please give them a nice tip". I said "yes, no problem", but in fact I didn't show her how much I left on the table: the exact amount of the bill. I usually give 10% of the bill as tip, which is the norm in Russia. But this time not even 1%. For me it looks like the barista is banging the waitress (she was a solid 7,5) and trying this combined trick on specific guests in order to get more tips. This trick didn't work on me Biggrin Much on the contrary, I will never go back to that place again.
I am sure this waitress and her associate in the kitchen got their lesson. At least from my side. But, of course, if all other beta simps give them extra tips for this cheap trick, they will continue to do it. They remind me of the Hindi guys selling flowers in the cafés of West Europe. The same scheme... "You will not play the egoist in the front of the lady right?" I guess they got the wrong guy.
My girl had no part in this scheme, it was my random choice to go to this café.

RE: The Russia Thread
So my Russian summer offensive will start in the end of June and I'm going to be there until October.
Starting in Piter and then I'm off exploring some smaller towns and cities before hitting up Moscow.

After the capital I'm off towards the Urals and Siberia.
Probably going to be a hell of a trip as always.

Let me know if anyone else are around during the summer.

Quite shocked at the lack of talent on the streets of Moscow. Not sure if it's weather induced hibernation or a representative sample.

Thought this would be the daygame mecca.

Last week there was a hurricane here in Moscow, terrible, many people hurt and some even died. Close to my place a big tree fell onto the parking lot. A luck that none was walking there.
Yesterday was the official start/opening of the "Swimming Season" for Moscow public lakes and pools. But the beaches were mostly empty.
Like that old joke that any Russian will tell you about the African student who wrote a letter to his family "Mom, there are 2 winters here, but the green winter is a bit warmer...". I dont know how many zillion times I heard this joke))

Download the Yandex taxi app. From Pulkovo airport to the city centre should cost about 800-1000 roubles.

Analysis paralysis strikes again

I fly to Moscow on Friday after work. Trying to decide between taking a flight immediately to Simferopol / go visit Yalta, stay in Moscow in a nice apartment and tinder and day game for a week or two, or go directly to Siberia where I have friends established already.

All three sound great and I only have a month to play.

Anyone wanna shoot some suggestions my way before I take the plunge?

I didn't see this in a quick search, can anyone recommend a visa company to use that streamlines the visa process for Russia; seems like sorta a pain in the ass. Who gets you the invitation letter typically?

I've used this site twice for my invitation letter: http://realrussia.co.uk/Visas/Russian/In...ns/Tourist

You'll have to put in the cities you wanna go to and put some hotels on there, ones from the cities you say you'll be in.

You are not obligated to actually stay at the hotels and you're free to travel wherever you want. But you gotta put them in to get your letter.

A month gives you enough time to chill in Moscow for a week, then hop on the transsiberian and head east, stopping for a couple days in the bigger cities in Siberia until you get to Irkutsk and Lake Baikail, then flying home from there.

Also, I highly recommend the white nights in St. Petersburg (late June/early July). Take the fast train from Moscow or fly.

Thanks for the input. I'm gonna stay in Moscow for a week, and in the middle of the week I'll fast train up to St Petes for white nights and a little look around. I hope I don't fall in love with the place while I'm there.

Then gonna head east (fly) to Novosibirsk or Barnaul. Cancelled Yalta plans because I've read too many reviews that it's a tourist destination and too many couples / groups for it to be a p paradise. Granted, if you have game you'll do well anywhere, but I don't wanna try my hand when the chips are stacked against me and I have potentially better options elsewhere

So, I brought some cialis with me to Moscow. But I didn't have it properly covered or contained, it was just in my pocket, and I did laundry and they dissolved.

I don't need them exactly, but it certainly helps with longevity, or going more than one round.

Anyone know if you can get it over the counter here or what it's called in Russian?

I have a second date today and I'd like to be prepared just in case

Just a question about tider and height in Russia. Are russian women obsessed about height in general? Im seeing a lot of tinder profiles with height and it made me wondering.

I've noticed the same height pattern popping up on tinder in Russia. It's no worse than anywhere else, in my opinion. Plus, a lot of these girls are actually on the tall side, so it's more justified than in the west.

No ones asked me how tall I am though. Just plow through

Also, anyone know if cialis / viagra is over the counter here?

Replying to myself here: you can just get cialis from any pharmacy.

I got 4 20 mg tablets for a whopping 3950 rubles
Which is like 80$

I could get 100 knock off tabs for that
But whatever.
And chances are I won't need them but sometimes when I get nervous I psych myself out and I want to avoid that kind of embarrassment while on vacay.

Arginine and horny goat weed work well if you want to avoid pharmaceuticals, although they're less potent obviously than full blown boner juice.
