Nope.
Moscow is one of the most expensive cities in Europe. Take a look at the real estate prices there.
Now, if you hit the 3rd tier regions and far provinces of Russia then, only then we can compare the prices with Bangkok.

I visited Moscow and BKK as a tourist last year. I had been to both cities before as well.

Numbeo says that Moscow is cheaper:
https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/co...rrency=USD

However, this comparison is based on a Western-style basket of goods and services, so this may skew the numbers a little bit in favor of Moscow. It is also for longer term residents, not tourists, so things like groceries and consumer goods are accounted for (cheaper in Moscow). Rent is pretty similar. Restaurants are cheaper in BKK (probably because there are many cheap Thai street food places).

In my experience as a tourist:

-Hotel/AirBnB prices are similar, but a lot depends on the neighborhood and quality of accommodation.
-Restaurants: similar prices for mid range/higher end restaurants in central locations visited by tourists.
-Bars/Clubs: similar prices for drinks in similar class of venue.
-Uber/Grab/Yandex taxi. Cheap AF in Moscow and BKK.

Bonus points for Moscow: when the weather is nice, just walking around the city, its neighborhoods and parks is awesome. Nice for dates as well: walk around, enjoy the view, then stop by a coffee shop or bar. Can't really do the same in BKK.

I would say if you choose between Moscow and BKK as a place to visit, don't focus on prices and go where you feel like going. The cost of the trip will probably be pretty similar. Also, I would only go to Moscow between early May and October, otherwise it's too cold to walk outside, go out on dates and enjoy the scenery. Another thing to watch is the exchange rate. Moscow cost of living used to be on par with New York before the ruble crashed in 2015. The only reason it's cheaper now is because the ruble is cheap. How long that's going to last is anybody's guess.

Little Update:

Meanwhile I have Hundreds of Matches, Dozen of phone numbers, a lot of girls want to meet up - my effort to convince attractive girls to meet is Zero.

It drains a lot of energy and it is scary to see so many needy girls - therefore I decided to delete Tinder.

Little update? Considering what you stated in your first post, this is a huge update:

Quote:I got about 170 matches after one day!!! And most of them look like models! Even some of them come from wealthy families or are well educated.

I never thought the difference between Western Europe and Russia would be so insane.

I will never date a Western girl anymore.

I do, however, give you credit for coming back and stating the reality of the situation. I also find it odd that someone who speaks Russian fluently cannot convince any attractive Russian girls to meet up with him. It seems that you have gone from extreme optimism to extreme pessimism.

RE: The Russia Thread
I think you didn‘t understand me hahah. Sorry for my English.

I meant I didn’t need any effort to convince any girl to meet with me. They told by themselves that we should be meet.

I was very excited about the amount of interest I recieved at the beginning, but very fast you get used to it and if it is so easy, it doesn‘t give you the kick that you‘ve achieved something.

I‘ve thought about this and realized that for me the process is the most exciting part - the achieving, getting a number, meeting her, etc.
Thats what‘s interesting for me. It is like in business, I am always more excited about the work until I can buy -for example- a Porsche than really buying a Porsche at the end.

And it takes a lot of time to always check your matches etc, so therefore I decided to delete the app and only to get to know women during day game etc.

I hope you now understand what I mean.

Thank you for clarifying. I give forum members a great deal of credit for posting here when English is not their native language.

I understand what you mean by the process being more gratifying than the actual achievement. At the same time, however, until you actually achieve your goal, you cannot actual claim any success. So, until you get to Russia and actually bed some broads, your input here is not too useful to forum members who wish to visit Russia. Come back and post a data sheet once you actually achieve success!

RE: The Russia Thread
Hello gentlemen, my first post here. First I'm going to share my experience with Russia, then ask some questions about my upcoming trip.

I've been to Russia twice, each time for a weak. Got laid with really high quality girls on the first date both times. The girls in St. Petersburg and Moscow are really hot, on par with other EE destinations. What really stands out to me is their personality. They are such a pleasure to be around! I normally don't do this, but I have somewhat stayed in touch with both of the girls I fucked there. To me Western Russia, especially St. Petersburg, is the closest thing to a paradise there is, and I'm well-travelled.

The first time I went for 4 days in St. Petersburg and 4 days in Moscow, mostly for tourism, but also doing a few day approaches while I was there. The responses I was getting were amazing, lot's of IOI as well. Unfortunately, I missed a lot of opportunities by hardly speaking any Russian.

The second time I spent the entire week in St. Petersburg, to see how I would like to stay there for longer, to game and just have some fun. My results from DG were much worse. Possibly because I focused mainly on the Nevsky Prospect, which is full of hustlers and boys that seemed to be very uncalibrated daygamers. Also, at this point I was quite unenthusiastic about DG and was mostly doing it not to waste my time in paradise. Anyway, I found a nice girl through Tinder and I'm looking forward to seeing her again, even though normally I quickly lose interest in girls.

As others have mentioned, if you are white and handsome, you are going to get a lot of attention from Russians. Luckily for me, I tick off all those boxes. Learning Russian is highly advisable since very few people speak English, and even on the most touristy street of Moscow restaurants will often have only menu in Russian.

Now for my questions:
* Can I enter Russia at any airport? My business invitation is from a Moscow company and it says (just like my own cover letter) that I'm going to spend the entire 3 months of my visa in Moscow, but I actually want to enter and live in St. Petersburg. I will probably register my visa with Immigration, just to avoid stress, will they mind the discrepancy?
* I would love to do a/some few-day wild camping trips. Has anyone tried that? I'm concerned that the police or immigration services might not like that a guy on a business visa registered in St. Petersburg is spending his nights far away in a forest under a tarp.

If you are talking about local female hustlers, yes. But to be fair with Peter, my favorite city in Russia: I also saw a lot of trickery/golddigging going on in Colombia and in the Philippines as well. So, this is not just a "Russian thing".

Did you already bang her? Or are you talking about a tinder match (virtual)?

I live in Russia and I saw dark skinned guys doing quite fine, if their game is solid. I know a Dominican who lives in Peter and he has been quite busy with his 3 blond GFs lately (they dont know about each other thou), spinning plates like he can be also dangerous as many Russian girls have hot temper. Such format is not for me, too much stress. Once I had one -hot but jealous- who checked the wine glasses every time she came to visit me, in the search for "rests of lipstick"(she denied doing it, but once she found it and it was a big trouble). This is terrible, I dont need such drama... but I digress, back to Black: There was also a colored New Yorker called Philochko, who banged for instance more local Siberian girls than many "white and handsome" banged Slavic girls in their entire life. But Idk if he is still living in Russia. He mentioned recently, that he wanted to grab his trophy one and move back to Brooklyn.

You have no choice. The registration is a must for all foreigners entering Russia on a business visa. If your business visa is for Moscow, most likely you must register in Moscow. The Министерство Внутренних Дел is controlling/monitoring such situations closer now, with more sporadic checks than before. Also due to the arrest of an American Spy called Whelan. Since then they have been looking twice at expat/touris papers.

Not really. When a woman is frequently almost forcefully stopped on that street by weirdos, she is much more likely to get defensive and dismiss anyone else who approaches her, no matter how good.

Quote:Did you already bang her? Or you are talking about a tinder match (virtual)?

No, I already banged her on my last visit. I wouldn't be excited about someone I have never met.

Cool. Nice to hear that the warm reception I have enjoyed might be due to more than just my look.

Fuck. I'm much more excited about St. Petersburg than Moscow. I'm tempted to try my luck and if they start questioning, just claim that the plans have changed after I applied for my visa. To be clear, my visa does not say which city it is for, only lists the inviting organisation (registered in Moscow), but the supporting documentation I left in the embassy says I would stay in Moscow, in a particular hotel. I will probably ask one of the agencies that offer registration to foreigners what they think about that.

Actually, I'm quite comfortable with my Russian. But your point is taken. I did similar thing in the past in Ukraine, but I was with friends and Ukrainians look up to Westerners, instead of considering them enemies. The way you frame it, wild camping in Russia sounds like not the brightest of my ideas.

Well, if you are going with other ppl you trust, then I don't see a lot of potential dangers in such an adventure. But IMO Camping itself is not too popular like in Canada/US as most Russian families have their own Datchas out there in the field/forest/rural areas waiting for them. The old school datcha is that one with no hot water, no internet etc. You can just switch off from the big city life. This is the way they enjoy nature, and it's not a bad way. Specially in the Summer with some tasty schaschlik, Vodka and good company.

RE: The Russia Thread
You shouldn't have any problems with the visa. I've flown into 4 different cities on the same visa, the registration can be harder in smaller cities where the administrators aren't used to doing it and you'll want fluent Russian if doing it in one of them but will have no such issues flying into Peter rather than Moscow, I'm talking the 80,000 people cities that even Russian's haven't heard of.

You also shouldn't have any problems with the camping but if you're planning on hunting you'll want to make sure you have all the required permits as killing the wrong animal at the wrong time of the year can get you in deep shit. Not sure how it goes in the big cities but the Russians in the small regional cities love hunting/fishing/camping and it's a very common activity. They do tend to set up the Datchas around good fishing regions and do that rather than roughing it in a tent in a lot of places but there are plenty of remote spots to just go and fish/camp/whatever. As said, the Datchas with a good group are a really fun way to experience Russia as well.

My visa a St. Pete's company invite me, I registered in Ekaterinburg without issue after the meetings, the visa covered me for the entire stay. You should be fine, Airbnb or hotel, it doesn't matter, just make sure you register upon arrival.

Before booking your Airbnb make sure the host can/will register you. I found that many wouldn't do it, even though it's their legal responsibility.

Also, remember you only have to register if you stay 7 business days or more, so if you're jumping around you don't need to register.

RE: The Russia Thread
Just applied for my visa here in Kiev, heading to Novosibirsk in a month and planning on SPB in the summer.
The lady at the counter was rude because I didn't take a photo copy of my passport with me and god forbid a bureaucrat has to walk ten steps to the scanner to do it herself.

The current fee for a multiple-entry visa here is 5,040 hryvnia, then after I leave I get a phone call from them saying, "Oh we're so sorry... this new rule just came into effect today and we're calling everyone back now. If you can please come back we need you to pay another 1,680 hryvnia" Dodgy

Anyway it's below -30 in Novosibirsk right now, Kiev doesn't get anywhere near that cold. Hopefully it'll be warmer by the time March rolls around. If any of you guys are out there, hit me up.

Thanks guys, I'm going to stay at St. Petersburg (well, maybe go to another city if I get bored). I believe that even if my AirBnB host doesn't register me, there are companies that will do that for you at some fake address.

I will not camp however. Russia is scary as is. I can satisfy my wildlife needs later in Poland or Ukraine.

You can generally go to most of the hostels or hotels and do it also, can even be worth spending the first night in a hotel just to get registered if you're worried about it (find one that doesn't charge a fee for guests!). The hostels will, from what I've heard, generally charge a small fee to do it.

Also worth contacting the host of the AirBnB to make sure they know how to and are willing to register you, if they're not then it might be worth finding a different place.

Russia isn't scary, it's one of the safer feeling countries I've been to. Though they drive like maniacs, that can be scary!

Does the stay one night in a hotel to get registered trick work? Has anyone done it?

Since you only need to register after 7 business days, why would they do it for a one night stay? I thought places do it only if they were the ones who gave you the invitation.

You can ask the hotel what their policy is and this is the best idea but they're legally required to register you so they shouldn't have any issues doing it. I haven't done it through a hotel but it should only take a couple of hours to do it, I imagine for hotels it's even faster.

The 7 business days is Russia total so you could say that you're going camping for the next week and that's why you need to be registered or whatever.

Technically you're meant to re-register in any city that you will spend more than 7 business days in but given you don't even need the registration when leaving the country (still better to have it just in case) it's not really necessary unless you want to dot every i and cross every t.

I've registered in one city and then spent a couple of weeks in Peter and a couple of weeks in Moscow and not re-registered for either of them, I've pretty much never even been asked a question on the way out, only once in the 5 times I've left did they ask a question and that was a "why would you go to that city" question. The smaller airports do generally need confirmation from a supervisor for my visa on both entry and exit (the US only 3 year visa) as I'm guessing they've not seen it very often if at all.

RE: The Russia Thread
Honestly the last few times I wasn't even bothered with getting registered. Couldn't be arsed. If you're just going to stay for a while might as well flake on it and take the risk.

Thanks. Already booked a place. My host says he will do it for 1000 RUB, so it's a low price for the peace of mind.

RE: The Russia Thread
Trying to sort my thoughts before I hit Moscow in 4 weeks, so feel free to add any thoughts or comments on my plan.

So from what I understand its better to have a somewhat cold, detached, leading vibe in Moscow.
Strong eye contact obv, but only a few gentle touches here and there alongside some compliments that somewhat portray interest.
Still I think it's a good idea to go for a soft kiss near the end of the meeting (no crazy groping), esp. if theres alcohol involved.

From what I see an "ambivalent rejection", i.e. ending the date on peak state, shortly after a kiss, is the best choice for Russia.
Then on the second date a bit more making out, and then on the third date going all in. The important aspect seems to never ask for permission, and not be bothered by her BS at all.

While I already have a very strong pipeline, I still am going to run daygame almost daily. Is it recommended to go on instant dates or just quickly grab her digits and move on? Probably universities seem to be a good choice for non-russian speakers like me. Not sure about malls, can only try and see.

Also looking for a good gym.
Im gonna live right next to Tverskaya Metro, and am going to stay for a month, therefore a place which offers a 30 day plan.

RE: The Russia Thread
Update: Just got my multiple entry visa (good for 3 years/180 days).
It took 10 days to process and cost about $250 (up from $185)

Big thanks to Tenerife for all his info - he definitely expedited the process for me.
