RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
Reverting back to the China tip: Used to be married to a girl from Shanghai, but I've always been more attracted to the busty Sichuan style girls from Chengdu and Chongqqing. Any experiences in that area e.g. lifestyle, pollution, game? Thinking of setting up shop in China for a 6 month span sometime in the next few years and I'm looking to get away from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Places like Jenja are all white dudes and girls too who are on holiday. Did not see many Asian dudes doing game at all.

I think that really makes it better for Asians who are game aware. The entire island of Bali is so packed with white australians who are loud and obnoxious that I have had a few local girls cut them cold looks when they get gamed by white dudes and flashing smiles at me because I wasn't behaving like a goon and touching her ass 3 seconds after I introduced myself. With some game, I could see our Asian brothers who have good game do well in Bali.

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
Anyone got any recent information about Tokyo? Planning to go be there for a weekend of May 13th. Couldn't find any recent updates about the club scene there. From what I read, Roppongi and Shibuya are where the most popular/best clubs are at. But for Asian Americans, Roppongi doesn't seem to be that good - most girls are looking for whites/blacks.

Does that mean I should just be looking for clubs/lodging in Shibuya?

Looking for specific club recommendations, thanks!

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
I got a pm from pman on whether Roppongi or Shibuya is better to set up base as an Asian foreigner visiting Tokyo but I thought this might be useful for everyone so I putting my reply here instead.

For starters, putting aside game or race, I would always go for Shibuya for lodging. Reason being Shibuya is connected to way more subway lines than Roppongi including the main JR Yamanote line which Roppongi doesn't run through. Whether it be travelling around Tokyo for sightseeing or just planning date locations, its always better to go with the station with more connections to reduce travelling time and cost.

As for Ageha, if you're going to game girls, I would say forget it. Unless you have a really solid crew to roll with(think Irish's BGM in Bangkok and Manila level) with the payrolls to go with, you going into one of Japan's biggest and most established clubs as a visiting foreigner will land you as much poon as luck would have it on that day and we aren't men who put our fates into pure luck are we?

My point being, unless you have solid club game with a equally good crew to row with, you might want to leave Ageha alittle down on your list if you're looking to get your Japanese flag. If you can't pull in the hottest club in your city, you can't pull in Ageha. Save your yen for something else.

You didn't mentioned if you're a nightgame guy but unfortunately Japan has changed quite abit since I was there last August. Feria is apparently closed and the crowd has moved on. I am going back to Japan for a vacation end June so it would have to wait till then before I can report back on the new top nightspots. As for now, maybe the rest of RVF in Japan can help out abit.

My last point on why you should get an apartment in Shibuya is purely based on game in Japan as an Asian foreigner. As mentioned earlier, Roppongi isn't the best place for Asians since girls who head to Roppongi are primarily interested in white or black men. Basically anyone that doesn't look like a conventional Japanese man. They can get that everywhere else in Tokyo.

Shibuya on the other hand has a mixture of both Japanese and foreigners who take selfies at Shibuya crossing (sigh) so the girls in Shibuya are not specifically looking for a foreigner boyfriend. Meeting you could then be attributed to fate, luck or whatever they want to tell their colleagues when they gossip about you during lunch break. The plausible denial is established.

Here is what I would suggest you could do on a Friday night based on my year of living in Tokyo. Note that this is a suggested activity list for the night and you can bounce back to your place anytime if you get a girl (also because you just live right in the Shibuya neighbourhoodBanana)

6pm:
Head over to the HUB beside the Starbucks and get a few beers in your system. You can number close the few office ladies getting drinks after work or the early birds of the Friday party crowd

7pm:
Check out some of the international parties held that night, Shibuya is a popular venue on most weekends. This is the easiest place to get laid for a visiting foreigner with no time to build a social circle or have a crew to row with to the clubs

9pm:
At this point you could either head over to Ageha or the other clubs or choose to hang out at the bars

Go early to either, it becomes a cockfest after 11pm.

Alternatively, if you picked up a chick at the international party and she needs to warm up to you before she goes back to your apartment with you, now's a good time to do a few location swap with the many bars found in Shibuya. Just bounce quickly and suggest heading back to your place to see photos etc.

That would be my bread and butter for gaming in Shibuya on a Friday night. Shibuya was my preferred choice when I was living in Japan and also where I have booked my Airbnb for my upcoming trip in end June.

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
Thanks Zerdame for the info. Just wanted to give a little info. back since I have left Tokyo and wanted to help others.

Per Zerdame's advice I did get an AirBNB right next to Club Womb in Shibuya. That area is full of love hotels.....

1) I started out by going to a international party - the one I specifically went to was the Gaitomo one at Ele (http://english.gaitomo.com/schedule/2016...979.html). Expensive drinks.... Hmm the girls here were really a mix of ages (20ish-40ish?) and hotness levels. Only saw a couple that were genuinely hot and 3-4 that were doable/cute. But I'm really picky.

A majority of the guys here are either kind of awkward or middle-aged.

International parties seem to be more geared towards getting numbers/line info. rather than insta-date/SNL opportunities. But my sample size is really small - 1 international party.

I did end up meeting this really hot young (22-23ish) girl from Saitama factory worker there though (who was staying with her Friend in Tokyo for the night). Managed to almost bounce them to my next bar - Rigolleto in Roppongi Hills. Unfortunately, I lost them at Roppongi Hills when the friend decided to go to another bar after being enticed/messaged by a foreigner at something called HUB? Which is too bad for them because Rigolleto was awesome!

2) Rigolleto @ Roppongi Hills - looks like it would be a restaurant, but it actually has a really decent/popular bar area. And the drinks are really cheap. I think it was like 500/600 yen for a Whiskey Soda here.

The people here skew older and more professional think - Girls 25+ Guys 30+. Seemed like a good mix of foreigners and Asians. 75 Asian/25 foreign. A lot of girls come here in pairs. So it would probably be good for you to bring a wing or make a wing on the spot. A lot of decent/cute looking OLs here and English levels tend to be a bit higher.

I went here twice (Friday and then Saturday cause I liked it so much). The girls on a Friday were a bit retarded - were out at a bar, but didn't want to socialize, just sulk. But it was ok, met a bunch of Japanese businessmen and had great fun. The girls on Saturday were a lot more fun - good conversation/flirting/etc.

3)Subsequently went clubbing - Headed to Shibuya. This was my first time clubbing in Japan. Japanese ppl party fucking hard like to early morning to catch their train hard. Was a bit surprised.

Someone told me that T2 was really popular - didn't have time to check it out.

I ended up going to Sound Museum Vision - packed on a Friday night; good mix of ages/styles/girls/guys. Pretty much a typical club. Got blown out left and right. Usually I start out in English and almost every girl just shuts me down. I guess I just didn't look/seem high value enough? Even though it didn't work out for me here; in terms of the number of cute girls here I'd say it's worth coming to.

Headed home and since Womb was right by my AirBNB decided to check it out. Womb is a little grungier than Sound, tends to skew towards a younger crowd, and has a huge dance floor. But still really packed - a huge club.

But I'm not a big fan of EDM/electronica. Which in Japan seems to be really popular? The dance floor doesn't seem conducive to picking up chicks. Everyone is just pointed in 1 direction towards the DJ.

4) On saturday, I headed to 3 different clubs in Roppongi. A couple of my local friends recommended V2 (very enthusiastically) but unfortunately it was closed for renovation. So I was not able to check it out.

I went to the feria popup at IVY around 12am. It was fucking dead only about 20ish people inside. God I hate paying cover for a shitty/empty venue. Had my drinks and left for Color.

Incidentally, I saw Ele and it looked like it was popping - had a huge line. Unfortunately I had no desire to wait in line and proceeded to go to Color.

Color was decent - mostly Japanese - bunch of cuties. But again very little English. Smallish sized dance floor. Very long bar and small tables. Once again got blown out a lot here. Girls were interested about 15-20% of the time. But usually got pulled away by their GF's - having a wing in Japan might be really helpful?

Was planning to go home around 3am, but got called by a friend and was convinced to go to this other bar with the promise of hot Korean girls. Can't recall what the name of the place was, but its popular because a lot of hot korean girls finish working as hostesses and come to this bar to drink.

True to his promise this place did have a lot of cute korean chicks. Definitely a lot more english friendly ooooor they were all drunk at this point (Koreans & Japanese). This place was a more of a bar with a decent sized dance floor than a club. But I'd say this place definitely skewed younger for the girls (the non-hostesses) - think college age. The hostesses looking girls were all mid-to-late 20s.

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
Hey Pman, glad you had a good time in Japan. As mentioned before, an international party is great to get yourself in the mood of socializing for the night to come. Agreed that its more of a place to collect numbers but those who are willing to bounce to another venue with you after the party also tend to be DTF most of the time.

EDM is basically it in Japan which can get annoying after going to most of the clubs in Japan and hearing the DJ spinning the exact same thing. One tip I have for clubbing in Japan is that since most of the songs are just mainstream American pop music, being able to sing the lines really impresses the girls there. I know, it's so stupid but apparently being able to properly pronounce song lyrics in Japan can help get you laid but then again I digress.

Do you remember the bar with the hot Korean girls? I'm going to Japan end of this month and would be in Tokyo for a couple of days. Sounds like a good bar to check out if any of my pipelined dates cancel on me.

Headed to Manila tomorrow. Will report back, specifically focusing on Asians players on the ground there. Pretty much without exception every girl I've pipelined has asked me where I'm from, or if I'm filipino, etc. When I tell them I'm from America, they simply don't believe me. Guess they, like the Chinese, feel that America is only black and white.

Not so different from the Japanese then about what constitutes an "American" then. Good luck over in Manila, if you can pull it off, say you're Korean American. From the reports by other RVFers, looks like the K card is the one to play when in the Philippines. Good luck man.

You're doing it wrong, mang.

When Asian in Asia you have to go by the ethnonationalist rules. You identify with what is identifiable to the locals. Insisting you're American does not jive in their minds.

To them it either sounds A) Delusionally arrogant or B) Lying or C) They think you're a hapa or something.

Stop wasting time trying to explain how their culturally rooted in dichotomy when it comes to nationality and race might be flawed in some way. They won't get it. It's not flawed because it's their worldview and multiculturalism is alien to them as it should be.

Most reasonably intelligent middle and upper class filipinos know what a fil-am is though. They are familiar with the concept. Lower class filipinos won't get it but you just tell them you were born abroad but you're Filipino.

In ethnic Chinese places like China, Singapore, Hong Kong, or Taiwan. I tell them i'm an ABC or ABT.. They get that terminology. I'm still considered one of them but just more jet set. Whatever works.

In Thailand I just tell them i'm from _insert asian country_ and go from there. If they are smart i'll explain further but usually it doesn't matter.

All that really matters is your social circle, how you look/dress, and how you game them into the bedroom.

That's it.

Milk the shit out of the korean card if they think you are, they can't tell the difference; read up on some korean shit if you can. Also if you want to get out of makati, hit up tomas moraltos ave. It's intimidating to go alone the first time, but you get used to it.

True, but not that important.

For guys who are not Korean, you just have to work harder. Too many guys want easy lays and don't want to hustle and develop there game.

The main requirement to pickup hot girls in Asia, is to look and dress like Kpop stars.

Looking Korean is more important, than being Korean.

I know alot of Korean guys who don't look Korean, so they automatically lose.

I have ask many Chinese girls/foreign girls, which/certain Korean guys they want, there resounding response is he must look Kpop.

Also there are a lot of Chinese Americans/Canadian's working as Kpop stars in Korea, who are exploiting these angles.

Korean girls are aware of that difference and are totally kool with that:

https://www.dramafever.com/news/10-talen...ly-korean/

Plus alot of foreign girls group Chinese, Japan, and Korean dudes in one group.

If they can't get Korean, they will accept Chinese who fit the look, there looking are aspiring for.

If your an ugly Korean dude, that won't work for you.

Look like a skinny ragtag K-Pop star? Take a pass on that. "Game" is not dependent on the way you dress. And certainly you don't need to look like a K-Pop Star to get laid here.

I agree that looking like a korean is more important than actually being korean. However its not just the typical kpop star that is trendy in these countries. I guess K drama is just as influential as Kpop or may even go hand in hand with it. Korean TV stars tend to have more 'western' standards of beauty, many of them dress in shirts and coats and not hip hop clothes and purple hair. I am a young guy(early 20s) but I can't pull off the hip hop wardrobe so I wear shirts and jackets instead and I still can get heavy IOIs from Asian girls. Korean male fashion(which is different from Kpop fashion) is actually pretty nice and looks really good, a couple of good threads can go a long way on a night out, especially in Asian clubs.

Yes, fashion is always changing, if it works, it works. Kpop or western, as long as you look healthy and attractive.

Good points.

Having the "right hairstyle" can totally change the complexion of your look to go along with style. Keep in mind grooming is not a substitute for game as the majority of it stems from confidence, which is a mental state of mind. However, it's definitely something that can generate more IOI and get you in there faster.

One can possess a hairstyle reflecting the classy nature of Asian male celebrities though without going over the top Kpop style. Some good examples that will keep you looking youthful yet mature at the same time:

Donnie Yen - good pomade/wax type of styling that keeps him looking youthful and brings out the positive facial attributes of this legendary martial arts star. Does he have a receding hairline? Sure..but the specific hairstyle detracts from the "sign of aging."

[Image: Donnie+Yen+Legend+Fist+Return+Chen+Zhen+...0u6Akl.jpg]

Joo Jin Mo - Similar classy subtle look from the Korean film star. Notice how the sides are a short though bit longer instead of being buzzed off.

Other positive examples include Randall Park (Korean American entertainment star) and Ethan Ruan (Taiwanese Actor)
[Image: Randall+Park+Arrivals+GQ+Men+Year+Party+...x6Rtql.jpg]

You made a really good point about Asian hip hop styling Zerdame. There is nothing wrong with dressing that way. However, there's only a very very very small portion of Asian girls that actually go for Asian guys who don the "A-Z-N" look.

By going in that direction, you're pretty much cutting out the majority of Asian and Western women that will give you the time or day. Heck even Black chicks would rather go for a well-groomed Asian dude opposed to one that dresses Hip Hop.

There's a reason why Asian hip hop guys like Eddie Huang or the Fung Brothers always complain about "why girls don't like them."

Speaking of which, here is a good example of what not to do. As El Chinito Loco refers to...the "Asian Guido hairdo" via Fung Bros:

[Image: 2015+E+Networks+Upfront+Arrivals+qZcgtDSYcE0l.jpg]

The same look however can work much more effectively on an Asian dude who either:
A) Has bigger eyes and/or darker skin tone to go along with it
B) Or is very jacked

Here is a good example of that similar style working out on Richie Le
[Image: hqdefault.jpg]

It sure is hell wouldn't work on me. Despite being half Taiwanese/half Viet, my eyes are on the smaller side as even my Chinese relatives poke fun at them. If you're an Asian dude with smaller eyes like myself, keep in mind getting the pompadour with the sides buzzed off will make them look even smaller as a consequence.

Brose: don't be so self-hating like that man. Asian traits aren't either ugly or attractive. If small eyes were an issue then why do people here also say Korean guys do well? Koreans iir have the smallest eyes and fairest skin and skinny bods.

This is a contradiction to:
A) Has bigger eyes and/or darker skin tone to go along with it
B) Or is very jacked

Not that I'm saying it's not true. I'm saying different people have different looks. As long as you're not obese / out-of-shape or very short then you will not be at an innate disadvantage.

Saying you need to be a dark Asian is do well is IMO laughable except maybe in the west.

Above and beyond all those physical traits is not having a lame personality that has all the joy and charisma of sour cat piss. Physical traits and exterior appearance you can work on but if your personality is repulsive then that's harder because it's all mental. A lot of asian guys from the west fuck it up for themselves by going around acting like cocks in asia.

Too many dudes walk around throwing out asshole game while looking like William Hung.

Very few people can pull off legit k-pop style without looking like a raging homo anyways. It's a very metrosexual look to begin with. K-pop works better if you're kind of skinny with way above average weight and can back up the look with dance game on top of that.

True, but not that important.

For guys who are not Korean, you just have to work harder. Too many guys want easy lays and don't want to hustle and develop there game.

Even though I'm not a fan of people faking to be Korean - you'd be stupid not to ride the wave and just make things harder for yourself. If "game" is about smashing sloots, I believe riding the Korean wave is probably one of the best ways to do that. Personally, being Korean, any other asian ethnicity is basically a lay-up, especially the ones that visit Korea (I also have the looks though)

Koreans vary a lot in looks. Koreans probably do better because our culture/brand is much more desirable than those of countries like China, Philippines, etc (all of these countries are associated with things like cheap, low value type shit - "Made in China," pollution, Filipino call centers, etc vs. Korea = fashion, entertainment, good looking people, etc). And also most Koreans dress well, are taller than other Asians, can drink, and fairly aggressive about the hunt

I don't think his message was self-hating. More just a comment on how your looks should factor into how you dress/present yourself. For instance, some colors may look bad on you vs. others, etc.

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
Props to Brose for taking the time to find those photos man.

At the end of the day, there's really no point blindly following the current fashion trends. I've seen lots of other Asians imitating the dress style and hairstyle of G-Dragon(a big shot kpop star) but the thing is while he has legions of fan girls, the same girls don't want their boyfriend sprouting the same hairstyle because if you're not a legitimate signed singer to a famous brand, you're just judged as a dude who can't differentiate reality from fantasy.

Its just my personal advice but instead of looking at Kpop for fashion advice(which alot of dudes are seriously doing), try looking at Kdrama leads instead. Especially when the male lead's character is an alpha that's probably a CEO of some major company, they are accompanied with clothes that would make you look manly and desirable. Google a few and mix and match your own style.

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
^ I have no idea of what you are talking about Joeno.

Let's take race out of the equation for a bit.

1) If you possess a certain body shape, specific types of clothing will look better on you moreso than others.
2) If you possess a certain head shape, specific types of hats or caps will look better on you moreso than others.
3) If you possess a certain head shape, specific types of hairstyles will look better on you moreso than others.

(Heck even the pompadour hairstyle will look better on certain westerners with a tan opposed to ones with a paler skin complexion. I'd even argue that the pompadour would look horrible on western guys (White, Latino, etc) that are chubbier looking than dudes that are sort of in shape)

Those were the types of analogies I were making except with regards to different hairstyles for Asian men. You are more than welcome to disagree as there a million different ways to slay the beast with regards to grooming or fashion.

You can also go around dressed up like Eddie Huang overpaying for hip hop clothing. Truth is however many Asian girls are not going to get turned on by that unless if you're a part of some A-Z-N clique so you cannot really count on that.

IMO like Zerdame said, you shouldn't be taking fashion advice from K-pop (even the K-drama lead he posted - Lee Minho - looks like a fag/most girls who aren't under the age of 18 think he is a homo/feminine).

If you want girls that look like this, you don't want to be dressing like G-Dragon

Tried finding some pics of dudes with girls to prove my point, but took too long/clubs just have pics of the girls

If I can provide an analogy, I don't think most girls would fuck Justin Bieber if he wasn't Justin Bieber (famous, rich, etc). Moreover, most females who fawn over Justin Bieber are like under 18/young (same with K-pop). Whereas, most girls that are part of the demographic we are targeting (over 18, etc) fawn over "manly"/clearly male/"alpha" men (George Clooney or what have you - in Korea guys like this guy - Kim Woo-bin)

From personal experience, I have the looks to be in K-pop or whatever but that only seems to attract mostly young girls (like of the non-bangable, under 18, illegal variety) and older women. Or your typical fangirl type who is a 7-8 max, usually inexperienced, annoying/weird. I still gotta work for the girls everyone else is after

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
^ That's a very good analogy on the types of girls a "Kpop" style will attract.

Dudes can definitely get some hotties dressed up in the A-Z-N hip hop style too, but those types of gals are really in the minority. It's weird how the Fung Bros. will promote the 626 in the San Gabriel Valley as the capital of A-Z-N hip hop when all the classy girls I know there would NOT date guys of those calibre.

Btw, where are those chicks from in the pics above?

Funny enough, one of my Brazilian buddies of Chinese descent studied abroad in Asia and visited Seoul along the way.

We both knew there were some long-term interest gold diggers in Brazil, but he was absolutely blown away by the snobbery of these chicks at high end venues in Seoul; girls would not even look at him unless he bought them drinks.

This dude btw is pretty tall, jacked, and good looking as well.

RE: The Asian Travel Guide to Asia
I am a Korean American and I grew up and lived in both Korea and USA. I go to Bangkok 2-3x a year. Most of the younger Korean guys are very tall and well built (I would say they are on par with the western guys) but it's because they started drinking milk 20 years ago due to mandatory milk program at school. Unfortunately most Korean men and women don't look like what Thai girls see in Kpop and Korean dramas. A lot of them are pretty average looking and some of them are just plain ugly. This probably has to do with decades of inbreeding and lack of cultural diversity (this reflects Korea's isolationism). Most of the attractive Korean girls I've seen in Bangkok, I can tell they've done some cosmetic work. As a Korean, I can tell when someone's Korean most of the time and I know something is unnatural about them. Most Koreans are originated from the Mongols thus explaining their high cheek bones, somewhat slant eyes and aggressive behavior. I have a thai gf here so I don't go out to hit on girls but a lot of Thai girls show lots of curiosity and interest in me in public mainly because I don't look Thai. Being a Korean can help build a lot of rapport here though. Anyway, In Bangkok, I am usually embarrassed and turned off by 3rd world country refugee behavior and manner of my fellow Koreans as they can be loud, obnoxious and unnecessarily aggressive (wife beater stereotype). I witnessed the same thing in the Philippines and Vietnam. Yeah and they have a lot of pride thinking they are better than others which I think is pretty retarded. But one good thing about being Korean is that being a Korean is like being in a big fraternity, Koreans do take care of each other anywhere in the world and you can build an instant bond with other Korean just the fact that you are Korean. Japan has been investing in Thailand for a long time and they've established a very successful business partnership so I would say Japanese men do get a lot more credit than Korean men here. I honestly have to admit that Japanese people are a lot more civilized than Koreans. All Korea is known for in Thailand are kpop stars, great cosmetic products and the ultimate destination for cosmetic surgery (many thais women are into cosmetic work as much as Korean women believe or not)
