RE: NoPorn / NoFap Google Group - For Those Who're Serious
Here's my story:
I started nofap a few years ago, even before this thread was started, and can testify from personal experience that this definitely works. Before that, I masturbated to porn almost daily, and suffered all the depression and erectile dysfunction that comes with it. Coincidentally, that period when I was a porn addict was also the worse and most depressing times of my life. I haven't watched porn or masturbated at all for maybe the past 2 years if not longer, and I have no desire to.

Speaking as a guy who's been practicing no fap for a few years, I noticed your body tends to adapt itself to the frequency of sex that your're having.

If I haven't banged a girl in a while, say a few weeks, the first time I have sex I'll have some difficulty getting, or maintaining a boner. However, the following times it becomes much easier. So for instance, I meet this girl after a 4 months dry spell. We then attempt to have sex, and after quite some difficulty, I finally manage to hold my boner long enough to cum. We try again 2 days later, and getting a boner becomes a bit easier.. try again 2 days later its even easier.. until I reach the point where I can fuck multiple times a day with no problems.

If I stop seeing the girl... Ill be super horny for maybe like the next week, and then the process will have to begin over again.

So, my theory on this is there is no need to ever masturbate whatsoever, and your body will simply naturally adapt itself to your sex habits. Knowing this, If I haven't fucked in a few weeks, I'll be sure to keep a viagra on me just in case... at least for the first time.

As this is a constant learning process for me as well, I'm wondering if I should incorporate a masturbation schedule for when I'm on a dry spell to avoid the above problem.

Also, considering I'm 24 years old and never had a wet dream in my whole life, I probably assume my libido is simply naturally a bit lower than the average of most guys ?

I'm hoping someone here who's been practicing no fap for at least 1 year can comment on their experiences as well.

And to the new guys here just testing this stuff out, all I can say is stick to it, and try to adapt a zero tolerance policy. Fapping to porn once per week, or even once per month is never okay, a mistake I made in the past which extended my recovery by much longer.

Lastly, even after you've completely recovered from the damage porn has done, your quality of life will improve in so many aspects but it still won't become roses and flowers. You'll still have to put efforts to do your approaches.. You'll still have days when you turn down your girl because your're not in the mood at that time... and you'll still have to deal with the daily annoyances and lows of life.
