That same warning sign also made me realize that porn was an issue. I was more interested in watching porn than the act of fapping itself, and I could spend hours hunting for the perfect scene (hence why I'm more concerned with staying porn free for now, although kudos to you and others who are doing both).

I admire your willpower with the porn tab method. I don't think I could pull that off in the long run. Personally, I've found that eventually I'll cave when I have easy access to it, so I'm better off restricting my internet somewhat to lessen the temptation -- at least until I've got this under control.

And yes, my sleep is fucked up right now. Alcohol use isn't a problem, as I've cut back A LOT. Caffeine is definitely more of an issue. The fact that I'm always tired leads me to drink way more caffeine than I should.

I appreciate the response, and I'll follow your advice by eliminating caffeine after noon. Also going to toss that magnesium in with my next order of optizinc. I'll probably hold off on the light box for now since funds are tight, but now I have an idea of what I want for xmas!

Porn/fapping "addiction" is similar to alcoholism in that there's a large grey area of what an "addiction" is defined as. The masses all participate in alcohol and porn, so it's normal, right? Even if we do accept that both are normal vices, it's still possible to abuse them.

Some guys can watch porn and jerk off as much as possible and still feel great...cool, good for them. But some guys (myself included) get foggy if indulging excessively.

I'd like to compile a list of "you might be addicted if..." because there are some warning signs that can alert us. Enjoying the porn more than the masturbation is my red flag. Side note: this is proof that the porn releases more dopamine than jerking off.

Getting your sleep fixed will straighten many issues out. Caffeine is tricky, tolerance swings based on usage and lifestyle. If you are always feel tired, there's sleep issues at play.
