Tell us a about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them.

These are the usual things I do (and did) to overcome my porn addiction:

- Deleted my porn stash from my laptop, USB sticks and external hard drives. I need to delete the stash that I have saved on cloud storage accounts like Dropbox, iCloud and Google Drive, but I haven't done this because I don't have time to delete those pics.
- Deleted my browsers' cache (I use Chrome and Firefox), browsing history and bookmarks with suggestive pics.
- I'm using positive self-talk and self affirmations to make easier the battle. My usual self-talk is: I prefer to be with a cutie girl than jerking off with porn; I have more to lose if I open porn websites. Also I'm using a very useful affirmation posted here by Isaac Jordan: don't touch your dick.
- I'm replacing my porn habits with other useful habits like learning a third language, taking naps, spending quality time with my family and friends and other useful habits.
- I'm slowly getting rid from sugar, dairy products and processed foods to regain my energy levels in a natural way.
- I have my laptop in the living room and I use it only for making basic things like checking this forum, checking the e-mail, logging on a corporate intranet for job related issues and using Word to write job reports.
- When I'm with a girl, I do a lot of foreplay before sex to speed the rewire.

I haven't installed porn blockers on my cellphone and laptop because I feel very tempted to uninstall them and the probability of having porn relapse is very high for me. Another important thing to make the rewiring successful is adopting a positive mindset even if you have relapses. Some guys feel like shit when they relapse but in my case I usually say "Well, if I relapse, It's a great opportunity to learn from the experience and I must find what was the problem that triggered the relapse".

By the way, I don't consider myself fully healed. I've made progress regarding this addiction but the struggle hasn't ended yet.
