Tropical weather is hot as fuck. I don't know how any of you wear long sleeves and pants in the middle of the day in 90+ degree weather if you are outside for more than 10 minutes. That's unbearable.

At night I understand. It's very doable then but only once it gets dark. Some guys over think this. Wear what fits, looks good on you, fits your vibe and not so your too cold or too hot. Just because they're shorts doesn't mean they look like bad.

Short jeans are totally acceptable in the FSU on scorching hot days (in fact, it seems that all local guys are wearing short jeans), and even when it gets dark.

In Odessa, even for a fine dinner on a terrace, I also often do (with espadrilles or dress sneakers and a nice linen shirt or high-end polo). Even in the high-end beach clubs (Itaka, Ibiza) you can get in wearing short jeans (but of course, flip-flops are a no-no), your designer shirt/polo and a luxury watch showing which class you're in.
