Balls Deep Vol. 1 Review:

Balls Deep traces Krauser's beginnings from the ashes of his divorce to his ascent into the game. While this is a memoir, in between all the blowouts, fast pulls, jaunts and fizzle outs, we're also treated to intermittent blogesque commentary on a variety of topics, including game mechanics, failure, and inner game.

Krauser waxes and weaves between the micro and the macro from describing a set to discussing the meta aspects of daygame and mindsets affecting you on the street. You'll get plenty of his signature style of philosophic abstraction with technical application. It's a memoir but also a guide to understand game.

What I found interesting is how he seemed to have gotten over approach anxiety fairly early yet had big issues with self-acceptance. The level of entitlement necessary is as simple yet deep as "I want her", and acting in line with one's deep sexual desires is not necessarily the easiest thing.

While it feels good to talk up the successes and ignore the failures, every single failure Krauser shared had insights to learn from. Yes he failed, he failed a lot. He called the streets his laboratory where he tried his science experiments. And despite not always getting the bang, his self-esteem began to strengthen after experiencing a variety of situations. He may lay a girl at the bar in 2-3 pages of drunken cocky game, but in 5-10 pages he details the game gymnastics given to keep a high status girl going.

There's plenty to learn from here whether one is a newbie or an intermediate. Wanting sex is a given, but the magic bullet speaks of instant results while the game demands respect for the process. Newbies can read what it means to scale the heights. When they obsess over the numbers game or dates to nowhere, they need to see the process play out. Game is not a magic bullet. Failure is your companion and you will see him again and again and again, and sometimes he may mess with you emotionally.

While Krauser was bouncing around Europe and central London, getting bangs and missing others, he still hadn't come to terms with his anger and inner demons. When a daygame special guest looked Krauser in the eye (with food falling out of his mouth) and said "you seem angry", I felt a profound nerve being hit.

The journey is ultimately a lonely one. You see Krauser taking action throughout the book and getting insights into his outer game techniques but it's the move for introspection where the real change could be felt. His sessions with Skeletor, his game therapist, dove deep into Krauser's psyche.

This memoir has a little bit of everything. You'll hear about night game, day game, travel, inner game all mixed with the highs and lows.

Despite being an internal mess, Krauser still had success with girls. All the game seems to care about is desire. You can be unhappy yet if you have this burning desire to struggle through the lows to get what you want, you'll find you can still get results in the game.

The girls' situations get more complex as the book goes on, like a video game where you battle through the bosses. It's also conveniently stopped on an ambiguous note, easily paving the way for the next volume.

Fast flowing reading, jam-packed full of stories and insights. Well worth the price of admission.

Yes. The mechanics are the same, just keep in mind the more masculine her personality, the more she'll try and sabotage the set. Krauser mentioned in Mastery that this model works best on feminine girls. I've had success using this method with American girls but they didn't fit the RoK caricature. Those sets felt more "bread and butter" daygame dance rather than a Rocky vs Clubber Lang match.
