That's not the primary issue here. The primary issue here is that moving a person from the 3rd to the 1st world is the worst thing you could do to the environment. Because his lifestyle changes, his consumption goes through the roof, ergo the "pollution" he creates goes through the roof.

If green parties were serious about their ideology, their primary platform should be:
a) no more migration to the developed world
b) spend batshit crazy money on providing and promoting contraception in the 3rd world
c) spend batshit crazy money on promoting feminism in the 3rd world as it will reduce the birth rate

Yet none of these are in their platforms and they don't fit in their current ideology (except possibly the third one - but even it may be culturally imperealistic for them).

And this is how you know the entire political spectrum has been bought.
