Its quite well known that many Asian cultures hate the Koreans and vice versa. Which is why our Korean homer keeps spewing his stuff.

So if I write my experiences here it doesnt count anymore? Since im then no longer 'outside' of this thread??

I have been riding the hallyu-wave for over four years now, when it comes to get girls. And it most certainly works! During this time big changes has occurred, and I have travelled around the world and seen it. Im talking about a shift in favour for asian guys in general, but where koreans has a slight advantage. Since this is the thread for asian guys in Asia, im gonna keep to my experience in that continent, but with a slight summary of the rest of the world at the end.

Im not gonna try to convince Putin Closes since it seems like he is immune against anyones opinion that doesnt match with his, and that anyones first hand experience with the KGF (lol what a name) doesnt matter since the chinese have it better anyway. Basicly just arguing against it for the sake of being against it.

During this shift where the hallyu-wave have exploded globaly, there has been two groups of non-korean asian guys in the west. The ones that celebrate this and use it to their advantage (just like the user HOD here) and there is the butthurt haters who cant take that its not their own ethnicity that is in the spotlight atm. This is also a quite young phenomenon which might explaine why some people are so skeptical against its existence, since if you arnt following the latest trends its easy to dont notice it by the western mainstream culture (except Gangnam Styile).

Back to Asia.

Lets be clear, if you are NE asian you will have a, general, advantage going to SEA, and if you are going to NEA being western-asian can be an advantage if you play your cards right. Come to think of it, being western-asian works pretty well in SEA as well. In the Philippines and Thailand I have had random girls shout: "Anyonghaseyo!" to me, or "Oppa! Sarangheyo!", giggling groups comming up to me asking, where im from and when I asnwer 'Korea', they go: "Omg! I love Korea!". And this is not in some sleezy bars or red light districts at night, im talking about day time in markets, malls, cafes, near universities, guest houses. Only times it happend at night it was in the clubs. First time in Thailand my white buddy wondered how come I got students, waitresses comming up to me and he only got goldiggers and hookers lol. Random teenagers (guys and girls) invited me to their table at a bar in Chinag Mai, they wanted to talk about kdramas and kpop, and they didnt know who justin Bieber, Taylor Swift or any other western artist where (by name that is, im sure they had heard their songs) they just listened to thai music and kpop. I got of at a random small town in Isaan where I would spend the night, checked in at the only guest house in town and there was this cute 20y/o girl with big boobs who dropped her jaw at me. She couldnt speak any english and my thai is pretty primitive, but her friend translated for us and it turns out she is a mad kdrama fan.
Phnon Phenh, couldnt even get a haircut without some cute girl getting a shock when seeing me. She whispered with her friend and waved at me, I nod back, later got her back at my guest house for a bang, which destroyed my chances with the receptionist there who was also into me.
Even in recently isolated Myanmar I got in touch with a cute girl of indian decent that loved kdramas. I couldnt seal the deal since she was very conservative and was afraid of her parents who demanded her to marry a hindi-guy, so just a short make-out session. But still, in fucking Myanmar!

The Philippines is what it is, you dont have to break a sweat in order to get laid if you are a male foreigner. If you are good looking its even easier. But I think it has been menthioned in the Phil-thread that there definatly is a 'sub-group' that specialized in koreans and japanese. I got in touch with some of these, one a (for filipina) tall and pale skinned beauty working in a fancy departmentstore, another bigg tittied working on a local tv-station (definatly not as an anchor), and ofc some pipelined from online.

When I travelled through China I didnt get much attention since evryone there assumes that any asian person is chinese. That is until I opened my mouth, and when they asked where i was from and I answered korean most people took that as something good, immidiatly talking about samsung, k-fashion, actors, dramas, groups and so on. Got my chinese flagg from a chinese tourist (many travel within their own country) at a hostel in Nanjing.
Oh, and Putin Closes, you say that you doubt that chinese mainlanders watch kdramas?

Quote:Descendants of the Sun: the Korean military romance sweeping Asia...
Korean television dramas have always been popular across Asia, but the region may have hit peak K-drama fever with military romance Descendants of the Sun....

But its main fan base lies overseas, particularly China, where so far it has been viewed more than 440 million times on popular video-streaming site iQiyi.com. China has strict rules on broadcasting foreign dramas, but relaxed them for Descendants of the Sun, whose production was reportedly partly funded by Chinese investors.

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-35888537

Earlier this year great controversy occurred when Taiwan elected its president Tsai Ing-wen, who is on the more nationalistic side. At the same time a taiwanese memeber in a kpop girl group appeared in a tv-show waiving the taiwanese flag which made China furious and cancelled all planned shows for the girl group, which made the korean company scared since China, infact, is a great market for them so they made her apologise publicly, which made the taiwanese furious against China and led to the newly elected president brought the whole thing up in her speach.
So kpop even finds its way into international politics in this part of the world. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/17/world/....html?_r=0

I was in Korea for the first time 2013, and second time last year. Even back at the first time I noticed a great number of foreign girls that was dating korean guys, and those who wasnt most of them had still an interest for doing it all from hijab wearing malaysian girls, black french girls, asian australians, polish exchange students, russian, latinas, brittish, germans, japanese, turkish, americans. But last year it was even more, some of my korean friends where activly seeking them out and banging them left to the right. Only country in Asia where I saw more local guys with foreign girls then the opposit (note that koreans still mostly stick to their own). Most interesting here are the japanese girls that seems to go to Korea for either study, or just for the weekend to do shopping, eating partying and in both cases to get banged. Its almost comparable to how girls from northern Europe go to the mediterranian for the same purpose.

So, here are my experiences/observations in Asia. Why bringing up all of this? Well, the thread was going on normaly until some guys started pointing out ways to play the k-card and others respondedn with bitter hate and denial of any advantage the hallyu-wave might have given, even against obviouse facts presented by non-koreans and even non-asians. So far I have only seen one k-supremacist race-troll in this thread. And ofc I dont mean that by presenting this that all you need is to be korean to get laid. No, Infact many of my attempts (even the ones where the girls basicly throw themselves at me) failed because my game wasnt tight enough, bad logistics, I escalated to quickly, I suck at breaking down LMR and so on. But its even further from the truth to say that being korean wont give you any advantage what so ever, like some posts suggest, when there is no equivelant for other asian nationalities in the same broad way.
Althou, One thing you rarely hear of is the fact that many thai guys do get a lot of action with foreign girls in Thailand. Probably because the opposit outnumbers it so it gets 'hidden' by it. Also, japanese guys tend to have a lot of popularity that they rarely play out.

Now, some might say: "This is just a bunch of isolated coincidences that you happend to have experienced, proves nothing", ok lets take a look even further.

In 2012 I was traveling through South America and got blown away with how much the hallyu-wave had striked even there. In Buenos Aires I was told that there was this thing called "come asiaticos" (trans: eat asians) which was girls that where activly seeking asian guys and to get a kiss from them, or getting together with them. One of the clubs that was had a big screen showing mvideos, and there was a lot of kpop there. Unfortunatly I decided to hang out with brittish frat-party crowd....
In Brazil and Ecuador, kpop flashmobs and dance contest was held.
I have read Brosemits info on southern Brazil, where i havnt been so I cant talk about that part, so when I say South America I mean Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Uruguay. Althou Peru and Bolivia had some of the ugliest girls I have ever seen.
South American girls seems to have a thing for asians in general (not all ofc, but a significant amount) kpop, kdramas seems to just fuel that even more. I met one japanese backpacker who had a blast in Colombia and said many girls there got interested in him for both anime, martial arts and hallyu-stuff. Confirms by this guy:

I recently got in touch with a cute 19y/o colombiana, and the conversation turned sexual and she asked me if I had any fantasies, I then asked her the same question, she thought and said she didnt have any but then changed her mind and asked if wanting to have sex with an asian guy counted. I said 'sure', and asked how long she had that fantasy? Since she was 11 when she watched her first kdrama.
Note that she said asian guys, not specificly koreans.

Here is some korean news from Venezuela (and yes, Im aware that most girls in that video arnt exactly top notch).

Various Kcons are held around the world where thousands of girls attends and where most of them will have a big interest in asian guys thanks to their obsession for kpop. Here is another non-scientific youtube clip to make my point.

And an even more ridiculous one:

As this forum keeps promoting, Russia is good for men in general, which also includes asians. The 'famouse' racism against asians in Russia is highly exagerated (it obviously exists, but dont belive that its as comon as presented in the west) many russian girls have a great interest in China and studies the language and are activly seeking a chinese husband. Korean wave has also found its place here now, online i see alot of russian, belarusian and ukranina girls who want to study korean and like dramas. On youtube there is several channels for russian speakers about Korea, and in the comment section its like 95% girls. One girl from a 3tr city I met told me all her friends where together or engaged with korean guys, in some random 3tr city.

Ok, now Im way outside of topic, and just like El Chinito Loco said
Quote:This conversation about the korean status bump is completely gay.
I agree, I probably gained like 50 homo-points for writing this selfe-promoting shit, but its even more beta to activly deny an existing benefit just because your butthurt feelings cant take it that you dont benefit from it directly...when infact you do (if you are asian).
I have met chinese, filipino and viet-americans/australians who have used this to their own advantage, they dont see it as a rejection for them not being korean, they claim it has smooth the way for them as well. Just like someone else also wrote, in the west the asian guys getting most action outside of their own race are usually SEA-guys (to my observation) I suspect its because they approache more and has more swag. So now we are back to basic, Game.

Take inspiration from this asian guy
