I feel you, but that doesn't make sense for a few reasons:

Why would Mayweather throw away his 49-0 record? That doesn't add up for me. He's 1 match away from beating the Legendary Rocky Marciano's record. There is no way he is going to throw a fight unless someone offered him 1 billion dollars or something and even then he's throwing away a unique opportunity that would put him above everyone else in the boxing hall of fame for hundreds of years.

The only reason McGregor took the fight is that he is getting 100M to get beat up for 6-12 rounds and walk away from it and increase his net worth by 3x. Nobody in their right mind would walk away from that.
