I tried all kinds of zinc supplements as well but they didnt really work for me... I found an article about "food supplements" and the author recommended eating oysters once per week to get in zinc in the most bioavailable form with all the enzymes and minerals necessary for the body to utilize it best. Didn't sound really practicable at first but I found pretty cheap cans on iHerb (still high quality) and that worked wonders for me regarding libido and energy levels.

He has a good point. Taking things in isolation throws off other things. For example, when we take zinc pills, we should make sure we take a bit of copper too, because zinc drains copper in our body. I forgot the ratio, but a quick search on Zinc and Copper should sort it out. I'm gonna try out the oysters. Sounds delish.

I used to take ZMA at night, having been told it was good for overnight muscle healing and to encourage more restful sleep. I'm not sure if it did anything, but I've been meaning to get more to try.

I do suggest going with a store brand, they have tighter quality control

I've also had good results with Whole Foods (365) zinc - one of the few brands out there with added copper.

I take 15 mg every night before bed, and sometimes in the morning. The most obvious benefit is rock hard morning wood (less consistent/hard if I don't take zinc).

I try to get my zinc from food. Oysters are pretty high in zinc, I do 1-2 cans a week. Trader Joe's has crown prince smoked oysters in olive oil, they're delish. I eat a can of sardines almost everyday, lower in zinc but packed with a bunch of other good shit. Sardines also taste pretty gross IMO. There's actually a sardines megathread somewhere on this forum. Probably will bump
