Not necessarily true. My brother had the strip method, by a top surgeon, and it is invisible even on very close inspection.

It depends on the skill of the surgeon.

He gets very short / blade 2 with a 1 fade all the time.

Pretty sure you can get tricopigmentation on the scar to cover it up.
Still dont know how trico looks on a bald scull but shouldnt be noticable if its just for the scar area.

FUE minimises scarring anyway, it should not be any cause for concern. FUT is the one that has much more scarring.

With FUE scarring is negligible. And in any case there are ways of treating it if it does bother anyone.

VC: for sure. I dont even understand why anyone chooses FUT in 2018.
Just throwing out a solution if it does indeed show too much. Dudes might do 2 or even 3 HTs over a few years and want to buzzcut the back and sides.

Im guessing FUT is for those who have a lot of hair loss, meaning that FUE would either get too expensive or become a burden to perform.

FUE should always be your #1 choice. Cost is no longer prohibitory as I mentioned above that I literally paid 30 indian rupees/ graft.

There's also micro scalp pigmentation, and the technology for hair loss is rapidly changing. I think there will be alternative's to hair transplants in the next few years. check out the website follicle thought.

Had a buddy get it done in Mexico a few weeks ago. Apparently it’s 75% less there. His wife just had LASIK done there as well. It seems like both went really well. Of course, it will be a while before he’ll be able to judge it fully.

RE: I had a hair transplant done
Baldie here, started losing hair at 14 for no reason, had to cut it short at 16, at 18 already had "entrances" or two huge bald spots on my forehead and general thinning, at 23 it is just ridiculous not to cut it real short.

Now I look like a grandpa so all off. I have to say that I find shameful that you pay to look like something that you are not. Im a very healthy individual, so my hair falling is some genetic failure. I have finally come to accept it. Nobody will profit of this. I embrace it, im a strong bald man.

RE: I had a hair transplant done
I'm wondering if you should try FUE early, not maximum number of grafts, to get immediate results.

Then see how it changes over time (get it early, then maybe get a retouch several years later) to get even more bang out of your buck, maybe you go back maybe you don't, as opposed to waiting 5-8 more years and doing one fell swoop.

Has anyone done that?

Get your passport ready!

My friend’s hair is coming in strong! He looks kind of like a chia pet but it’s only been a week. It seems like a good deal for only $3,900. Just take a nice trip to San Diego and an hour drive South in Tijuana. PM me if you want the clinic info.

RE: I had a hair transplant done
I had this done in Bangkok about a month ago. Some of initial transplant follicles have fallen out. Ultimately they all will before the real results grow in around month 2 or 3. Each graft is 90 baht (around $2.5) but the doctor actually threw in about $1,000 of extra grafts for free so it was very affordable.

Can I ask who you went with and why you chose them?

Does anyone know how many times you can get this done? ie. at some point are there not enough hairs in the donor area to cover the top?

yes, it depends on your donor area. usually if you have a good donor you can go 2 times.

The scarring on both fue and fut are not good. Plus, even if you had one transplant then you will need another to cover the future hair loss. And you will get future hair loss as most people have reported a loss of efficacy with avo and finasteride with ten to fifteen years.

You basically commit to the hair transplant route forever and almost guarantee the need for a second (and you will pillage your donor area).

The only hope for these guys who do get a transplant and look good for ten years (which they do) is that there will be a perma cure for baldness by then.
I agree with you. I live in NYC and there are guys who had procedures that look like models with good hair and then I found out the truth. They wear hairpieces and sometimes a thin line of transplanted hair in the front.

If I was going for hair replacement I would just go get a good hair piece. The ones they have today make you look like PERFECT. Again NYC has these world class salons.
Worried about a girl finding out? Who cares, if your a playa they can only find out after you fucked them and then it is too late plus they don't care if it looks good.

My moms cousin was a plastic surgeon(was he died of lung cancer). He claimed that in the end people run out of hair and it will look like your perpetually balding. In addition it is pretty obvious you had a transplant when you get caught in the rain if you can't achieve full coverage.
The cost seems too high for half measures.
