RE: Happy Veterans Day
I hope all of you vets out there have a great day!

Right now is a wonderful time to be an American. Enjoy it, because you earned it.

If you have a relative or friend that is a veteran, give them a call and thank them for their service. I've been on both ends of those calls, and it makes both parties happy.

God Bless America.

Aloha!

My best friend since we were wee lads served 10 years in the corps. Now he's a family man raising boys and doing his family and country proud.

One of my plates is a dental hygienist and tomorrow she works all day for free giving dental care to veterans.

There is a fundraiser organised by state owned petrol station chain Čepro - EuroOil for veterans here in Czech Republic.

RE: Happy Veterans Day
A sacred Veterans Day and my respect to you all. My business is proud to give discounts to members of the armed forces. Whenever I see a homeless veteran, I always give as much as I can - so I can still look at myself in the mirror. This is something that needs to end and I truly hope President-elect Trump can help make it happen as he promises to. Bring our veterans home and show them the respect they deserve.

Major respect for veteran Terence Popp Rekondulas.com, who has endured so much in battle and especially returning home. He helps educate men (and women) on red pill truths in a funny way, turning pain into purpose. I am motivated and humbled by his example of a true warrior's spirit.

Saw an interesting Semper fi jeep when I raided Denny's for their grand slam breakfast will have to post pics later as my android mobile does not show pic attach options. Then raided Starbucks for free vets coffe then raided Texas roadhouse for new 8oz steak tips with a chili cup poured over mashed.. then raided the bakery and now reconning the final assault on Applebees with wrap up at the man cave for a victory cigar and scotch chaser....

With no more consulting gigs -now full time with full benz my first paid Vets day holiday in more than 15 years... that and our new Viking warrior CiC smartly picking his battles until he rebuilds our national armory.

So enjoy our special day men and stand by to stand by for your call to help rebuild our nation in every way... physically, socially, economically, and militarily.

Along with a long overdue Trump baby boom to replenish our ranks with future neomasculine warriors and feminine ladies to inspire them.

Happy Veterans Day again to all of you out there.

There's lots of patriots on here, so take some time, find a veteran, and thank them for their service. It will make them feel good, and you too. Make it a happy thing. These guys killed terrorists. And to my fellow veterans, don't forget Dennys breakfast is free.

Anyone on Oahu is welcome to come to my annual bbq.

Aloha!

Remembrance day today in OZ. In the minute silence I reflected on all those poor young brave men traded like poker chips by their traitorous elite. Robbed of their lives sacrificed for Jew wars. Very sad.

^^^ I just said "make it a happy thing" and the very next post some guy has to do that. Comments such as those are extremely disrespectful and trivialize the sacrifices made by others.

Now say your sorry and let's get back to the happiness.

^ In his defense somewhat, Kona, in UK/Can/Aus/NZ we don't have a separate Memorial Day to commemorate the fallen, so our Remembrance Day tends to be a more sombre affair.

That said, enjoy your BBQ and hope you spend it with a cohort of good buds, with many more to come. Cheers

Nothing "happy" about acknowledging the tragic loss of war. Perhaps your "happy" and "killing terrorist" memes are better suited for facebook points.

This isn't an echo chamber pal, deal with it. Just like I have to deal with your BS persona and constant disruption of critical J related topics and your attempts to disarm them.

I genuinely felt a great sadness today for the victims, the families and what has become of the nations/values they sacrificed for but I digress....

Ive said all I needed to say in this thread, you may carry on.

A friend of mine said its shameful that kids have school and people have work today on Veterans day.

I noted that Veterans served exactly so they could have that. Wink

RE: Happy Veterans Day
It was the first Remembrance Day I was able to take my son to the Cenotaph and lay a flower for my ancestors who fought and died, and for our friends who currently serve.

A short communion with my veteran grandfather, how much I miss him today, and how I vow he will not be forgotten by my son.

Then we went to the pub and laughed and talked with friends and strangers. The elderly were especially doting on the kids today.

Thank you all.

RE: Happy Veterans Day
Canadian ice hockey commentator Don Cherry (famous coaches corner pundit) fired for criticizing immigrants for not wearing poppies. To be fair I actually don’t see many people at all whether they are Anglo Canadians or immigrants from all stripes wearing poppies. Those who do wear them, albeit in small numbers are the vets and the Anglo Canadians.

What did Cherry say?
Speaking on the Hockey Night in Canada show on Saturday, Cherry singled out Toronto immigrants for not wearing poppies.
"At least you can pay a couple bucks for a poppy," he said. You people... you love our way of life, you love our milk and honey, at least you can pay a couple bucks for a poppy or something like that," Cherry said.
"These guys paid for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada, these guys paid the biggest price." ( bbc.com source )
I went out today, and saw one guy wearing a poppy. He looked Anglo. Imho, cherry could have said his piece differently but there is truth to what he is saying. Nobody is wearing poppies. The faux outrage crowd will find one hijab wearing woman with a poppy and say.....see look! Cherry is racist, bigot ,,,,fire him. They don’t even watch hockey and if he is fired or not, makes no difference.

Actually, in Australia and New Zealand, we do. It's ANZAC Day, on 25 April, the anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in Turkey.

There is definitely a difference in mood between both days; ANZAC Day being one of commemoration, thanking the troops.

The US Army asked "How has serving impacted you"?

Veterans and families responded:

https://twitter.com/usarmy/status/113170...85?lang=en

I'm guessing the employee who had the idea to ask this question has been fired by now.

War is the continuation of politics by other means. In most cases it is fought so that some oligarch - or coalition of oligarchs - can make themselves even richer, or so that they can consolidate their power versus other oligarchs. 'Freedom', patriotism, 'war against terror' etc etc are just the myths and memes that they use to mobilise the dispensible rubes.

Sure, we should respect the memory of those who died in war, and we do that best by remembering that most of them in reality had little idea of why they were where they were - and that little was mostly wrong.

You really don't have any clue what the hell you are talking about.

And as far as remembering those who died in war, that would be Memorial Day which happens in May. This is Veterans day.

It's like this, some people wake up and see two towers fall and 2,977 people die, and they are hurt, angry, bitter, and they march their asses down to the recruiter station and say "Send me, if not for them, then for my country and my children."

And then there are others who say, "Not me, I'll stay at home and bitch about it on twitter and watch youtube videos and come up with liberal bullshit that explains the way they look at life.

We are person A and you are person B.

Yes, what you descibe is a predictable reflex. So, happily the oilgarchs can always rely on there being plenty of persons A.

Easy to utter cheap sentiments about veterans. Look at that Twitter thread to read the reality of how veterans are treated by the military.
