My advice to anyone using Tinder is to get professional photos of yourself.

Think I'll wait till an Android app comes out that won't spam my contact list. The bodybuilding forum link had a guy say it spammed everyone in his contacts list on his phone and told them to check out his Tinder photos. Fail.

I "liked" or whatever about 200 girls and 0 "liked" me back, I guess I shouldn't have used such a shitty picture. As said above, the picture is super important.

Now I guess I need to delete my account and start a new one with a better picture.

Yes- this is a good idea. Delete your old account. Get the best possible pictures of you that are able to get and post those.

I actually think that guys are ignoring this app at their own peril.

It is at the forefront of young female sexual desire.

MeetMe mentioned various times in this thread is what I use for the younger 16-20 crowd, no dudes with games and lots of females, got a few chicks off it.

When I turned on my phone today I saw there was a Swipe update. Apparently they fixed the location settings.
I still don't trust the app after spamming my contact list after an "update".

I still find it weird it happened to you. It didn't happen to me when I installed it. At least not that I know...

(06-12-2013 03:33 AM)soup Wrote:  Do you guys find that this app crashes a lot? Also, how often do you get matches?

I've experimented with 3 pictures. One was just a nice instagram of not even my face but me in a cool well known location. Its fizzed out now because I think the sheer number of women on this thing now they have become super vain and quick. At my peak I was getting 3-4 matches a day, now its calmed down to one.

I have figured out the algorithm of the app though so I generally know when I will get a match.

Also location helps big time. If I am in a random part of town I will make time to find a Starbucks and seed my location point in another area. This is big because it re-shapes your searches and matches and you will appear near the start for girls whom are close by. 10 miles which is the lowest one is still big but if you go across town one day it will give you a shit ton of new leads.

I'm shitty with online game though its honestly a joke I have not fucked a girl of this thing yet as I am getting matches quite a bit. I get some fatties whom creep through because they just like dark meat and I will insult them them block them lol.

I got some 18 year old Sri Lankan chic and a 28 year old blondie with a kinda big nose on deck right now. Both are cute in their pics so I tried to invite the 18 year old to a jam.. told me she was 18. The 28 year old broad we are supposed to meet this weekend so we will see what happens.

I have a troll Tinder account of me with my shirt off and just pics of my abs and me covered in sweat and shit. This one barley gets matches and most of the matches are fatties. I did get one hot girl matched up today and quickly got her into text game. Shes down but lives literally at the edge of the Toronto metro.

I'm getting matches of decent looking girls (about 10 now), but it fizzles when you bring up actually meeting.

Surprise surprise, another attention whoring app.

I have not had that experience. Maybe you need to get your online game stronger.

Once I make contact with them, I game as if it was Okcupid by suggesting they seem like cool and that maybe we can hang out sometime etc.

I've been texting with girls through Tinder telling them to come over to hang, and they seem to be down.

Let it be said that Tinder seems like the HOV lane of online game.

Soup your game mystifies me. Maybe it's because we are both at opposite ends of extreme environments (NYC vs Tdot) I can't get non-challant exchanges like inviting girls over to turn into anything here. I just avoid it all together nowadays since it automatically makes things cold. Do you think your style/game would work in other place aside from Brooklyn, NUC?

Tinder has gotten me lazy I have like 8 girls I'm talking to but the ones whom are most down live the far the fuck away in like Barrie and other boony suburban posts.

I'd say the fundamental concepts of my game have shaped greatly by manosphere and this forum.

However, I am NYC man. I can't speak for the rest of the country, but I'm pretty sure that what I'm doing here is not something that can be pulled off in the middle states as easily.

NYC is the destination of sluts the world over.

Women come here to ride cock carousel and live up the good times.

I can't tell if it's my game getting better, the women getting sluttier or both, but I can say that never in my wildest dreams as a teenager did Imagine that I would have had sex with over thirty girls in the first half of any year.

Quality is still hit or miss for me. But, there really is an abundance of pussy here if you can open your eyes to it.

Things I've done differently this year- letting my hair grown in despite my receding hairline. Leather jacket is like my custom tailored-suit. Some other cool accoutrements to signal that I'm not a square.. all these things plus taking on game as a fulltime job has yielded abundance for me.

Also, I have a very good photo that I use for my main picture. It really shows off any good looks/presence that I have. It looks like a famous actor or musician. I think good photos is key to ramming the gates of online poosy paradise as open as the pussies of the sluts who inhabit it.

I'm cheating on OKC with Tinder.. I might break it off with OKC if Tinder keeps trending. Whoever made this app is a genius in my opinion. It has streamlined the process.

The only thing better would to be able to have an app that shows you pictures of girls, you click on them, and the girl shows up at your house. For me, it looks like Tinder is almost that app..

I just want to emphasize this point for anyone that is new or has been using Tinder.

If you delete your account, you get to start all over again. Which is a GOOD thing, since your picture will be shown to all the girls in your area again.

So, if you don't have any luck with your current pictures: delete your account, put up better pictures, and start all over again. The girls won't remember they have already seen you, since they are clicking on hundreds (if not thousands) of guys.

It's probably the best way for you to test which of your pictures are your "best" pictures.

RE: Tinder App
A word of caution..

I've noticed that the girls of Tinder, as curious and trendy as they are, still have to be coaxed a little; I have had girls on here who have seemed interested when I've suggested they come over, but who have then blocked me when I actually give them my address.

I think it's too much for them. They are excited about Tinder, but most of these girls are still pussies as far as following through with it.

I suggest to proceed with caution. Push aggressively, more so than you would with an OKCupid girl, but keep in mind that the frog still needs to be boiled slowly, or he will jump out of the pot.

I've noticed this too. That's why I go for the phone number ASAP, well before suggesting she come straight to my place. I would never conduct meetup logistics inside the Tinder or OKC apps.

Even though texting on Tinder and normal Text messaging are exactly the same, you cross an important psychological barrier when you're texting from your personal phone number, rather than through the app.

Soup - another Tinder trick that I learned from your OKC posts: after we've agreed to "grab a quick drink sometime" I tell the girl to "text me with lots of smiley faces" or something along those lines, and then leave her my number.

It's a great test to see if she's truly interested in you, or just attention whoring. The attention whores won't take that extra step to text you, but the DTF girls will.

After that, I pull a bait and switch, and suggest she come over to my place for the drink, rather than going out somewhere. If she says no, then at least I have her number and can text again in a few weeks. If she said no on Tinder, it would be game over.

Like you said; move slowly but deliberately so you don't scare the cat.

I like that bait and switch.

Another thing I did with Tinder was to initially set my range to one mile, and swiped all the girls in that area until it started to slow down. Then I went to two miles, three, etc.

I'm not sure if Tinder puts a limiters on, but I wouldn't put it past them to do so.

I've been getting girls numbers by saying "we should text bc there are too many messages on this thing"

I also test girls availability during the day by saying "nice day not to be stuck in an office"

What kind of openers are you guys using successfully?

----

Another thought about Tinder- there are a lot of girls who are afraid or embarrassed to open a profile on OKCupid. Tinder leaves a greater place for them to hide, and if everyone's doing it, they can use that as plausible deniability. Three cheers for this app so far..

Can't use tinder yet because there's no android version, but I've used this Roissy's tactic on Badoo and so far it has surprisingly good response rate (about 6-7/10 response rate):

Quote:so, obviously you’re aesthetically interesting, but a buddy of mine was looking over my shoulder just now and claimed that – without a doubt – your profile was written by a guy; he says any profile with so little information makes him suspicious. [EDITOR'S NOTE: change the part after the semicolon as needed. it doesn't matter what it actually says. don't make it complimentary, and don't get specific. if it's a confusing non sequitur, so much the better. run, hamster, run.]

he claimed that there were a million dead giveaways. I came to your defense, of course, but it got a little out of hand and now we’ve got a $20 bet going as to whether or not you’re really a girl. so, just between you and me, am I about to lose $20?

Maybe it works on tinder, would love a report.

this is my exact experience. at first I was all excited about it, and over the last week I have had 20+ conversations on tinder here in NYC with what appear to be quality girls. have yet to actually meet one yet because they always flake and never want to meet. my pics arent bad. I think the girls here are just playing around. I usually try to move them from the tinder messaging app to text right away because I have use that to qualify them.

I realize that Tinder can't change girls nature.

Yet.

Girls will still need to be gamed.
